He’ll be connected to many, just like Bellinger. If the Yankees truly were going to miss out on Bellinger, they could do a lot, lot worse than bringing Tucker to New York.</p><p>He spent the 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs, hitting .266 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. It marked his fourth-straight season voted as an All-Star. Over his entire eight-year MLB career, Tucker has hit .273 with 147 home runs, 490 RBIs and 119 stolen bases.</p><p>In New York, Tucker would need to move from right to left field, as that position is occupied by Aaron Judge. However, the Yankees wouldn’t make the deal if they weren’t confident he could handle the change. Adding his bat to the lineup would give New York a major boost at the very least, especially with Bellinger leaving in this scenario.</p><p>Both the Yankees and Tucker are sure to have two of the most intriguing offseasons. But that won’t change their free agency plans when it comes to slugger Cody Bellinger.</p><p>New York <a href="https://x.com/BryanHoch/status/1990891888845492235" rel="noopener">plans to continue pursuing</a> Bellinger despite Grisham’s qualifying offer decision, via Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. After a impressive debut with the team, the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/new-york-yankees/yankees-rumors-insider-predicts-new-york-approach-cody-bellinger-free-agency" rel="noopener">Yankees aren’t trying to see Bellinger leave town</a> anytime soon.</p><p>That debut saw the outfielder/first baseman hit .272 with 29 home runs, 98 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. All three stats were stark improvements from his 2024 output. Furthermore, Bellinger ranked second on the Yankees in RBIs and fourth in home runs.</p><p>If New York were to re-sign Bellinger, the only question remaining is where he would play. Grisham is now entrenched in center while right field belongs to MVP Aaron Judge. Left field is theoretically available, but the Yankees have former top prospect Jasson Dominguez ready to take the next step.</p><p>Ben Rice is at first base while Giancarlo Stanton will occupy the designated hitter spot. With the Yankees still heavily interested in Bellinger, it’s clear New York has thought about the positional problems. As long as the left-hander’s bat is in the lineup.</p><p>The Yankees got a full-season view of what Bellinger has to offer in 2025. He helped lead them to the American League Division Series. As New York looks to go on another deep run, they want Bellinger to stay along for the ride. Colin is also a three-time NYSBA award winner and a proud graduate of Fordham University.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Los Angeles Dodgers</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/dodgers-news-yoshinobu-yamamoto-teammates-game-7-performance">Los Angeles Dodgers have won two straight World Series titles,</a> and they may look to reunite with an impactful slugger this winter.</p><p>According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers could attempt to sign <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/mlb-stories/cody-bellinger-destinations-yankees-contract">outfielder Cody Bellinger</a> if the 30-year-old <a href="https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/46999006/mlb-2025-26-offseason-passan-predictions-free-agency-kyle-tucker-schwarber-alex-bregman" rel="noopener">does not return</a> to the New York Yankees.</p><p>“Beyond the Yankees, who would like a return engagement with Bellinger — particularly if Trent Grisham rejects a qualifying offer — the Blue Jays see him as a perfectly good alternative to Tucker,” Passan wrote. “And the Dodgers, who nontendered Bellinger three years ago, have expressed interest as they peruse the outfield market.”</p><p>Bellinger was drafted by the Dodgers in 2013 and spent six seasons with the big league club. In addition to winning the National League MVP Award in 2019, the Scottsdale native was also a key part of the group’s 2020 World Series win.</p><p>As a member of the Dodgers, Bellinger hit 152 home runs, tallied 422 RBIs, and earned an .819 OPS.</p><p>In 2025, Bellinger enjoyed a strong season that saw him mash 29 home runs, collect 98 RBIs, and post an .813 OPS while playing stellar defense daily. According to Baseball Savant, he ranked in the <a href="https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/cody-bellinger-641355?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb" rel="noopener">82nd percentile in Batting Run Value</a> and the 91st percentile in Fielding Run Value.</p><p>Yankees general manager Brian Cashman <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2025/11/13/mlb-trade-rumors-news-free-agency/87257056007/" rel="noopener">has indicated</a> that <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/new-york-yankees/yankees-news-new-york-actually-feels-potential-cody-bellinger-reunion">retaining Bellinger is one of the team’s priorities.</a></p><p>“We’re very interested in bringing him back,” Cashman told USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. “He’s going to have a lot of choices because he can do a lot of different things… We would be better served if we could retain him.
