One of the last season’s top options, Chimezie Metu, signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns and Richaun Holmes was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The Kings re-signed Alex Len this offseason and they made an <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/kings-news-three-time-nba-champion-with-warriors-lakers-signs-with-the-kings" rel="noopener">intriguing singing</a> of a three-time champion as well. Among those contracts, the Kings have four centers off the bench in Len, McGee, Nerlens Noel and Neemias Queta. Noel was signed as a free agent and Queta has been on a two-way contract the past two seasons before signing a standard contract this offseason.</p><p>This past season, Alex Len was not really part of the rotation averaging only 6.2 minutes per game, 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. He shot 53.3 percent shooting from the field.</p><p>JaVale McGee spent last season with the Mavs and saw playing time in 42 games, including 7 starts at around eight minutes per game. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 64 percent from the field. Then on Monday, the Raptors inked another former Suns big in Alex Len, <a href="https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1330954986356961285?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1330954986356961285%7Ctwgr%5E&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fclutchpoints.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D920144action%3Dedit" rel="noopener noreferrer">per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.</a></p><p>Len spent time with the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings last season, averaging 8.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per game.</p><p>The former No. 5 pick has shown glimpses of potential throughout his career. Len even shot 36.3 percent from deep and averaged 11.1 points with the Hawks during the 2018-19 season. However, he will almost certainly continue to be a depth piece in Toronto.</p><p>The Raptors prioritized re-signing Fred VanVleet in terms of internal free agents, agreeing to terms on a four-year, $85 million deal with the breakout star. Masai Ujiri also kept some of the frontcourt intact by bringing back Chris Boucher, who could see a big uptick in minutes this upcoming season.</p><p>It was always going to be a challenge for the Raptors to bring back VanVleet and also attempt to retain Ibaka and Gasol. Instead, Ujiri has pivoted by signing bigs who seem to thrive in bursts.</p><p>Toronto is coming off another tremendous year in which it earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and came within a single game of the Easter Conference Finals. Ujiri will hope Baynes and Len can give the team production inside after losing two key big men in Ibaka and Gasol.</p><p>Both former Raptors big men are heading to Los Angeles, with Ibaka joining the Clippers and Gasol going to the Lakers.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

He’s now the third Kings player to contract the coronavirus.</p><p>Per <a href="https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1275989677900734471">Shams Charania of The Athletic</a>, Len has released a statement, noting that he has “immediately entered isolation.” He is looking to heal up soon to help his team make the playoffs.</p><p>The first Kings player to test positive for the coronavirus is Jabari Parker. Just minutes after, it was reported that sharpshooter Buddy Hield <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/kings-news-buddy-hield-tests-positive-for-coronavirus/">tested positive</a> as well.</p><p>Alex Len joined the Kings in February after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks. In nine games with the Kings, the 27-year-old has averaged <a href="https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lenal01.html">6.6 points</a>, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks across 16.7 minutes. He was slowly becoming a key part of Luke Walton’s line up before the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season in March due to the coronavirus.</p><p>The Kings are one of the 22 teams set to return to action in the bubble campus in Orlando. They currently sport a 28-36 record for 11th in the Western Conference. All 22 teams are going to play eight more regular-season games to determine their seedings.</p><p>The Kings have not made the playoffs since the 2005-06 season. Over the years, they have rebuilt their roster through lottery picks, coaching changes, and other transactions.</p><p>They came close last season, finishing ninth place in the ultra-competitive West. But given the diagnosis of Hield (their second-leading scorer), Parker, and now Len, the chances for the Kings to finally snap their playoff drought are slim. Atlanta also gets two second round picks.</p><p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1225252407006912512?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 6, 2020</a></p></blockquote><p><script async="" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p></iframe></figure><p>The Hawks also picked up two future second-round picks in the deal.</p><p>This move comes on the heels of a mammoth trade on Tuesday night in which four teams traded a whopping 12 players – the biggest trade in the NBA since the year 2000 – and the Hawks were involved in those festivities as well, picking up Clint Capela from the Rockets in exchange for a mid-tier 2020 first round draft pick.</p><p>By picking up Dedmon, the Hawks seemingly have their center rotation locked up for the next few seasons with Capela getting the likely starting nod and Dedmon spotting him should injuries (heaven forbid) become a factor.</p><p>Though the 30-year-old Dedmon has had a nightmarish season with the Kings after signing a <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/kings-news-dewayne-dedmon-expected-to-agree-to-three-year-40-million-deal-with-sacramento/">three-year/$40 million deal</a> this offseason, the former USC Trojan was terrific in his two seasons in Atlanta and put up career-highs in points per game (10.4), rebounds per game (7.7), assists per game (1.4), steals per game (0.9) and blocks per game (1.0) during his brief tenure with the Hawks.</p><p>Atlanta was also able to unlock Dedmon’s shooting ability, as he shot 37.2 percent from deep on 358 attempts during his two-year Atlanta stint.
