Andre Iguodala currently plays for the Miami Heat.
Born on January 28, 1984 in Springfield, Illinois, he is listed at 6' 6" and weighs 215 lbs.
Iguodala went to high school at Lanphier (IL). After a stellar high school career, he then committed to play for the famed Arizona Wildcats when the program was near the peak of its powers.
Following his college career, the Philadelphia 76ers used their No. 9 overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft to select the athletic wing.
Early in his NBA tenure, Iggy was known for his ability to sky above the rim. Initially playing second banana to a Philadelphia icon, following an excellent performance in an NBA Dunk Contest, Iggy’s star began to rise. So, too, did his reputation as a defensive marvel.
Finding his most success with the Golden State Warriors, Andre Iguodala is famously known as a LeBron James stopper (relatively speaking). He’s won numerous titles with the Warriors and has often been considered the potential “missing link” for teams on the cusp of titles.
During his NBA career he also played 8 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, 1 season with the Denver Nuggets and 6 seasons with the Golden State Warriors. He joined the Miami Heat in 2019.
