Edwards bio

Anthony Edwards currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

He was born on August 05, 2001 in Atlanta, GA. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and weighs 225 lbs. 

Edwards went to high school at Holy Spirit Prep (GA) and then attended Georgia in college for a year. 

He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the No. 1 overall pick in 2020. During his NBA career he has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves since 2020.

Edwards’ name was on the radar of scouts throughout the country at a young age. He gained national attention during his freshman year at Georgia. Although the Bulldogs didn’t wow as a team, Edwards showed off a skillset fit for a top pick in the NBA Draft. 

In the leadup to the draft in 2020, there were three clear names in the top tier. Those names being Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball. The Timberwolves selected Edwards and the early returns have been fabulous.

Edwards hasn’t been shy on the court and has had one viral dunk after another. He’s been a vocal leader for Minnesota as well, constantly trying to hype up his teammates when it’s needed.

He has superstar written all over him which is quite rare for someone that is this early in to their career.
