Bol Bol currently plays for the Denver Nuggets.
He was born on November 16, 1999 in Khartoum, SDN. While often argued about, he is listed at 7' 2" and weighs 220 lbs.
Bol went to high school at Findlay Prep (NV). After receiving an insane amount of hype while in the AAU circuit, he eventually committed to play for the Oregon Ducks.
In one college season, while brief, Bol Bol wowed crowds with his ability to be a big who hit shots, finish at the rim with grace, and block shots.
However, there were concerns about his potential for injury, as well if he’d have the right drive to succeed in the NBA. In turn, he fell all the way to the No. 44 overall pick, where the Miami Heat selected him before working out a deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Often splitting time between the G League and the main roster, Bol Bol has done well in his limited time on the court. Given his skills, size and youth, the sky remains the limit for the young man as he traverses the NBA.
As it always does, only time will tell how his career plays out. If he can remain healthy, though, there’s always a spot for giant and athletic big men in the NBA.
