He was born on September 02, 1997 in Kinston, NC. He is listed at 6-foot-8 and weighs 190 lbs.
Ingram went to high school at Kinston (NC) and then attended Duke University in college.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the No. 2 overall pick in 2016. During his NBA career he played 3 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. He joined the Pelicans in 2019.
After a quiet start to his career, Ingram really burst onto the scene when he was traded to New Orleans. He, along with others from the Lakers, were part of the massive trade that sent Anthony Davis from New Orleans to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Ingram made his first all-star team in 2020 which was the same year he was also named the NBA’s Most Improved Player.
Not known for being overly flashy, Ingram has quietly molded his game into being a solid scorer while extending his consistency from three-point range. He’s an excellent isolation player on offense and he has become a franchise piece in New Orleans with the Pelicans alongside the likes of Zion Williamson.
