Brunson has played in 22 of 24 games, starting all of them. Meanwhile, Hart has only started in nine of the 23 games he has played in.</p><p>Luckily, they have both seen a decrease in the number of minutes they’re playing per game. Brunson averaged 35.4 minutes per game during the 2024-25 season. Through 24 games, Brunson is averaging 34.9 minutes per game.</p><p>Hart has seen a more drastic decrease. He is a high-intensity player, grabbing a lot of rebounds for a guard. So far, Hart is averaging 29.7 minutes per game, a large decrease from his 37.6 minutes per game last year.</p><p>The Knicks made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2024-25 season. However, they were beaten by the Indiana Pacers in six games.</p><p>They had beaten the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. If they had won, they would have faced the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. The Pacers gave them a good fight, but they lost the series in seven games.</p><p>The Knicks will next play the Orlando Magic on Saturday, Dec. 13. Their game will be broadcast on Prime Video. The Magic beat the Miami Heat, 117-108, to advance to the next round.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/new-york-knicks/knicks-news-jalen-brunson-response-vegas-gambling-question">Jalen Brunson carried New York anew</a> with a game-high 35 points on 13-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-9 from deep. He also had three rebounds and four steals.</p><p>After the win, he was interviewed on “NBA on Prime,” with Udonis Haslem asking him about a specific play wherein Mikal Bridges “ran all the way around the baseline” before getting the pass from Brunson. Haslem claimed that he hadn’t seen that since the Heat battled with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals a few years ago.</p><p>Brunson’s <a href="https://x.com/NBA/status/1998617956222116137" rel="noopener">candid response</a> caught Haslem off guard.</p><p>“When did you retire?” asked Brunson, eliciting a laugh from the three-time champion.</p><p>“You guys knocked us out of the playoffs two years ago. You guys were running that. So what are you talking about you haven’t seen that since the Spurs? The two teams will head to Vegas for Saturday night’s doubleheader.</p><p>Of course, it’s only natural to associate gambling with Las Vegas, which is a bit of a touchy subject in the NBA. The Raptors, despite being loaded with a number of talented, long defenders, had no answers for the star point guard, and are out of the NBA Cup as a result.</p><p>Brunson will have his hands full in the semifinal against the Magic, as Jalen Suggs is one of the best perimeter defenders in basketball. However, the Villanova product has earned the benefit of the doubt and has proven he can put up big numbers on anybody when he’s on his game.</p><p>Wednesday night’s NBA Cup quarterfinals will feature the Phoenix Suns against the 23-1 Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs against the Los Angeles Lakers, with the winners playing a semifinal on Saturday in Las Vegas.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
