Los Angeles dropped to 0-4 in the preseason with this defeat, and the defense has been a train wreck so far. The Lakers have given up over 120 points in three of the four losses, with 117 points allowed in the other one.</p><p>There is, of course, no reason to panic for Los Angeles. While the preseason performance has been troubling, these games still don’t matter and the Big Three hasn’t even played together yet. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-debut-lebron-james-anthony-davis-russell-westbrook-trio-revealed/" rel="noopener">That will change on Tuesday</a>, and this Lakers squad will surely lock in when it matters. There are some reasonable concerns to be had about this roster, but we know they’re not going to be bad.</p><p>Ennis would be a nice pickup for Los Angeles, especially after the injury to Trevor Ariza, but it’s not like he would make or break this team. We’ll see if the Lakers wind up going the route of signing Ennis or not.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

His addition gave Orlando an immediate boost, as they went 8-4 before the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. His solid play continued inside the bubble at Walt Disney World, pitching in 11.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in the eight seeding games.</p><p>Ennis is no stranger to changing teams midseason over the last five years, so a chance to start training camp under head coach Steve Clifford would be a nice change of pace for him. The 6-foot-6 swingman gave Orlando an athletic two-way guy who relished his role as a sparkplug off the bench.</p><p>The Magic risked losing Ennis after he declined his player option for 2020-21 worth the veteran’s minimum of $2.13 million. Obviously, they were keen on bringing him back by countering with a bigger deal.</p><p>Before making it to an NBA rotation, Ennis honed his craft overseas and paid his dues in the G-League. He has suited up for seven NBA teams so far, including the Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, and the Houston Rockets. Williams and Ennis were ejected after scuffling underneath the basket on Saturday, an encounter that eventually resulted in Ennis taking a swing at Williams.</p><p>The testy exchange will result in a fine for both players, though neither appears to be facing additional repercussions.</p><p>Williams <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/bucks-news-marvin-williams-defends-fight-against-james-ennis/">spoke</a> on the fight on Sunday morning, saying he was sticking up for himself and his teammates. The 34-year-old said he would not have his manhood challenged.</p><p>Orlando certainly looked like it would challenge Milwaukee after catching a slow-footed Bucks team off guard in Game 1. But the Bucks have put on a dominant display in each of the last two contests.</p><p>Milwaukee has had its way with the Magic on the offensive end of the floor. The Bucks shot over 56 percent from the floor and made nearly 46 percent of their three-pointers on Saturday afternoon. Giannis Antetokounmpo was especially assertive.</p><p>The “Greek Freak” scored 35 points on 12 of 14 shooting from the floor, also adding 11 rebounds and seven assists in 31 minutes of action. Milwaukee also out-rebounded the Magic 44-35 for the contest.</p><p>Orlando has its work cut out for the rest of the series. Williams and Ennis were each ejected from the game, but the veteran Williams said he was <a href="https://twitter.com/Matt_Velazquez/status/1297581342943830016">simply defending himself</a>.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Marvin Williams described the altercation with James Ennis yesterday as a situation where he was defending himself as a man — something he would do anytime, anywhere if someone crosses a line. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been especially charismatic, staring down the Magic bench after big dunks and staying vocal on both ends of the floor.</p><p>Williams appears to be suggesting he will not be intimidated by an upstart Magic squad as the Bucks hope to make quick work of Orlando in the next two games.</p><p>The 34-year-old has played sparingly for the Bucks, but he offers toughness and length while also crashing the boards and banging with bigs down low. Williams was a plus-8 in over 17 minutes of action in Game 2, and he was also plus-11 in just over six minutes of run on Saturday prior to being ejected.</p><p>Milwaukee’s success is still largely tied to Antetokounmpo. They wound up winning by 14 points and never took their foot off the gas pedal despite having a huge lead.</p><blockquote>“At the end of the day, a guy sacrifices himself for the team and as I said previously, we’ve got to pick it up for him,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said, via <a href="https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29717708/bucks-marvin-williams-magic-james-ennis-ejected-nba-eastern-conference-first-round-game-3-altercation">Eric Woodyard of ESPN</a>.“What he did, he’s got to miss time for the team so we were even more locked in and played harder because that’s what a good team does.”</blockquote><p>The Bucks have looked like the No. 1 seed in the East ever since their Game 1 blunder. They’ll look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in Game 4, which is on Monday (Aug. 24).</p><p>Antetokounmpo played 31 minutes against the Magic in Game 3. The reigning MVP finished with 35 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.</p><p>The Magic have had no answers for Antetokounmpo in the last two games.
