Javale McGee’s Net Worth in 2021 (estimate): $14 Million

Javale McGee’s net worth in 2021 is around $14 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The 7-foot Flint, Michigan native attended the University of Nevada to play college ball.

He spent two years with Nevada before declaring for the draft.

In the 2008 NBA Draft, Javale McGee was selected with the 18th overall pick by the Washington Wizards.

His rookie contract with Washington was worth $.9 million for four years.

In 2011, McGee was the first-ever Washington Wizard to participate in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He was also the first player to three balls at one time in a dunk contest, a feat recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Unfortunately, McGee ended up settling for second place, losing to Blake Griffin.

After spending more than three seasons with the Wizards, McGee was traded to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Nene.

Javale then signed a $44 million extension for four years with the Nuggets on July 18, 2012.

After an injury-riddled two and a half seasons with the Nuggets where he only played 107 games, McGee was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on February 29, 2015.

McGee only played 6 games with the Sixers before being waived.

Before the start of the 2015-2016 season, McGee signed a one-year $1.2 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Unfortunately, by the season’s end, he was waived once again.

Javale McGee signed a one-year $1.4 million deal with the Golden State Warriors.

He played an important role in the Warriors’ title run as he helped Golden State win the 2017 NBA Championship.

The next season, he signed another one-year deal with the Warriors worth $2.1 million.

He was integral once again in helping Golden State win back-to-back championships as they swept the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals.

The following year, McGee signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers worth $2.3 million.

After his first season with the Lake Show, he re-upped with a two-year $8.2 million deal to stay at Los Angeles.

This season, he was an important piece as he helped the Lakers win their 17th championship in franchise history — and his third NBA championship.

However, in the 2020-2021 NBA season, Javale McGee was on the move once again.

The Lakers traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the start of the season. And by the trade deadline, McGee was on his way back to the Nuggets after the Cavs traded him to Denver.

For the 2021-2022 NBA season, Javale McGee is now part of the Phoenix Suns after he signed a one-year $5 million deal with the squad.

Javale McGee was a late addition to the USA Team that departed for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

He helped Team USA win the gold medal. This made him, and mother Pamela McGee, the first mother and son to win gold medals in Olympic history.

“It’s an amazing feeling, man,” Javale told The Associated Press‘ NBA reporter. “I’ve got a gold medal. My mother has a gold medal. We’re the first to do it, mother-son duo. It’s an amazing feeling. You can’t really explain it. Just knowing you’re the best in the world, amazing, man.”

In his 13 seasons in the league, Spotrac estimates Javale McGee’s career earnings to be at $65,607,268.

Aside from his NBA life, Javale McGee has a lot of ventures off the court.

He is also a record producer with the moniker “Pierre” and he released a self-titled album in 2018.

Other than that, McGee is also an avid gamer and vlogger. He has a YouTube channel where he uploads different kinds of content including his “day in the life” videos and video game streaming.

In 2017, Javale McGee transitioned to a full-time vegan diet due to how it benefits his play on the court.

With that, McGee signed a sponsorship deal with Canadian plant-based nutrition brand Vega.

“Vega has been my go-to nutrition since I made the transition to a plant-based diet in 2016”, says JaVale McGee. “Following a plant-based diet has led to an enormous improvement in my performance as an athlete. It’s literally been a game-changer. I’m excited to finally partner with a brand that has played such a pivotal role in my journey over the past few years.”

Despite playing mostly limited minutes throughout his career, Javale McGee still endured and proved to people that he can be a major piece in a championship-contending team.

We will just have to wait and see if Pierre will add another NBA Championship ring to his collection before he calls it quits on his career.
