Jayson Tatum currently plays for the Boston Celtics.
He was born on March 03, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is listed at 6-foot-8 and weighs 210 lbs.
Tatum went to high school at Chaminade College Preparatory School (MO) where he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in 2016. As one of the most sought after recruits in the country, Tatum eventually landed with and attended Duke University.
After his one year at Duke with Mike Krzyzewski, he was drafted by the Boston Celtics as the No. 3 overall pick in 2017.
Tatum’s game has steadily evolved over his career so far, landing him in two NBA all-star games while he has also quietly become one of the most gifted scorers in the league as well.
As part of the 2017 draft class, Tatum is still currently the only player taken in the top ten of that draft to have made an all-star game. Celtics general manager Danny Ainge had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft before trading it away to the Philadelphia 76ers. Philadelphia ended up with Markelle Fultz (no longer with the team), while the Celtics settled in with Tatum at No. 3. The move has helped the Celtics franchise immensely and was by far the right move to make.
