Clippers announced they had picked up the third year options on guards Landry Shamet and Jerome Robinson. Both players were selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft, with Robinson going 13th to the Clippers and Shamet 26th to the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/philadelphia-76ers">Philadelphia 76ers</a>.</p><p>Robinson is now set to earn $3,737,520 in the 2020-21 season. Shamet will earn $2,090,040 in the 2020-21 season.</p><p>Shamet thrived in his first year in the NBA despite being traded midseason. He averaged 10.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 45 percent from three in 25 games with the Clippers. He also finished fourth on the NBA’s all-time rookie three-pointers leaderboard behind <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/players/Donovan-Mitchell/ba810a1f">Donovan Mitchell</a>, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/players/Damian-Lillard/a90b097e">Damian Lillard</a>, and <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/players/Luka-Doncic/b74d0a0c">Luka Doncic</a>.</p><p>Shamet is now the full-time starter for the Clippers and will play a significant role in the franchise’s quest for it’s first NBA Championship.</p><p>Robinson’s NBA career, on the other hand, has gotten off to a rough start. In his rookie year, Robinson saw just under 10 minutes of action per game and only appeared in 33 games. Robinson dealt with a foot injury as well as ankle sprain early which derailed his training camp and preseason.
