This past season, he appeared in a career-best 76 games for the Rockets, at a little over 31 minutes per game while being selected as an All-Star for the first time in his career.</p><p>He averaged a career-high 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals with splits of 49.6 percent shooting from the field, 23.3 percent shooting from the three-point line and 69.2 percent shooting from the free-throw line.</p><p>During the Rockets’ opening round playoff elimination against the Golden State Warriors, Sengun averaged 20.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.9 steals while shooting 45 percent from the field, 37.5 percent shooting from the three-point line and 62.5 percent shooting from the free-throw line.</p><p>With veteran point guard <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/houston-rockets/rockets-news-ime-udoka-reveals-non-traditional-plan-fred-vanvleet-injury">Fred VanVleet likely out for the season due to an ACL injury</a>, Sengun is going to be counted on to step up even more as the Rockets look to stay afloat in a tough Western Conference.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

It is a bit poetic as well; James is most known for wearing the number 23 jersey, so for him to retire in his 23rd season would be a fitting end to quite the rollercoaster of a career.</p><p>James added further fuel to the fire of retirement rumors when he posted a video on X teasing a major announcement with the caption: “The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST. 🫡👑 #TheSecondDecision”. Many Lakers fans speculated that this might be the day where James announces that the 2025-26 season would be his last in the NBA.</p><p>Nevertheless, with the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/lakers-news-alternate-theories-lebron-james-retirement-decision-2-0-video">anticipation building for James’ announcement</a>, many are formulating theories as to what the Lakers star’s “second decision” will be about. Once a teenage star on the legendary 2006 SoCal All-Stars AAU team, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/utah-jazz/jazz-rumors-kevin-love-expected-join-training-camp">Love now finds himself</a> playing for Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy, who once faced that same undefeated squad as a high schooler.</p><p>“I do not remember that,” Love said with a laugh. “I know one thing’s for certain, they lost.”</p><p>That unlikely connection is just one of several ties the five-time All-Star has to Utah. Over the years, he has vacationed in Deer Valley, trained in Salt Lake City and southern Utah, and <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/utah-jazz/early-utah-jazz-trade-candidates-2025-26-season">developed friendships with Jazz icons</a> like Andrei Kirilenko, Joe Ingles, and Mark Eaton. For years, Jazz fans dreamed of a trade to bring him to town. His decision was influenced not only by conversations with Hardy and team president Austin Ainge but also by family considerations.</p><p>“Really, truly, it all started with my two young daughters,” Love said. “I was weighing the personal side of things, and just wanted to gather all the information that I could.”</p><p>Love’s commitment gives the Jazz an invaluable presence in a locker room filled with youth. He knows the grind of long NBA seasons, what it takes to win a championship, and how to guide teammates through the ups and downs of rebuilding.</p><p>“I think he’s excited to help these young guys grow,” Hardy said. “He is a crazy competitor and he’s going to be a tremendous leader for our group.”</p><p>For Love, the mission in Utah is clear. He is not here to chase numbers but to be a stabilizing force. Love will join a relatively young Utah squad with an opportunity to take on a veteran’s role as an accomplished center who helped the Cleveland Cavs win their first championship in 2016.</p><p>Love’s commitment to the Jazz ahead of the upcoming season <a href="https://x.com/TheSteinLine/status/1971700620160827823" rel="noopener">was first reported</a> by The Stein Line’s Marc Stein and Jake Fischer.</p><p>The Jazz expect five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love to join them for training camp next week,” Stein and Fischer reported. “The Stein Line reported Sept. 15 that the sides had not yet opened serious buyout talks.”</p><p>Love averaged 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.7 steals in 10.9 minutes per game for the Heat last season.
