While rest is generally good for NBA teams, this lengthy layoff seemed to sap <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/lakers-news-luka-doncic-guarantee-la-defense-11-4-start">any sort of rhythm from the Lakers</a>. But they hit their stride when it mattered the most and held off a late charge from the Jazz to claim a 108-106 win to move to 12-4 on the season.</p><p>Luka Doncic had himself another incredible outing, finishing with 33 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists in the winning effort. And as is the case with the Slovenian superstar, there is never a dull moment with him. In the second quarter, Doncic exhilarated even the away crowd with his display of some classic Luka Magic.</p><p>With 4:43 left in the first half, Doncic intercepted a poor pass from Kevin Love. Now, he has become an integral piece of the young squad.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/nba-stories/nba-rumors-whats-going-on-kevin-love-buyout-talks-jazz">Love was traded to the Jazz by the Miami Heat</a> in a three-team deal that also involved the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a sad development for the veteran forward, as he loved his stint with the Heat. But he has since moved on, providing the Jazz with a much-needed steadying presence.</p><p>Before their game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Utah coach Will Hardy <a href="https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1990966027216433244" rel="noopener">expressed his appreciation</a> for the 37-year-old Love.</p><p>“When I spoke with Kevin before camp, it was trying to make sure he knew the value that I saw in him and that I saw a real role for him with our group,” said Hardy in a video posted by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.</p><p>“We are excited to have him. We need him. We need veteran leadership in our locker room. In the twilight years of his NBA career, <a href="https://cavsnation.com/news/cavs-news-kevin-love-hall-of-fame-intentions">Love has been open about a potential return</a> to the Cavs.</p><p>Love won’t say when he <a href="https://esportsinsider.com/2025/11/kevin-love-utah-jazz-miami-heat-career-interview" rel="noopener">plans to end his career</a>, calling it a “year-by-year” process. However, he would love to end his career with the Cavs, he said, per Esports Insider’s D.J. Siddiqi.</p><p>“I don’t want to make any assumptions — they’ve been so good to me here already with Utah, and if this is it, then I’m very happy with that,” Love said. “Obviously, Cleveland is a near and dear place to me. But regardless if that happened or not, I’m always going to go back to Cleveland. They were so good to me for my eight-and-a-half seasons there, and continue to be.”</p><p>Love helped the Cavs secure their first and only NBA title, and his nine seasons in Cleveland are the longest tenure of his career.</p><p>“But how long I’ll play, I’m not exactly sure. I think I’m going to continue to love the game. Kevin is also ranked sixth all-time in rebounding (4,493) and is the ninth all-time leading scorer with 7,663 points.</p><p>Love <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/11/16/kevin-love-hall-of-fame-cavalier/" rel="noopener">revealed </a><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/11/16/kevin-love-hall-of-fame-cavalier/" rel="noopener">his </a>post-NBA career plans in a recent interview with TMZ.</p><p>“It would mean a lot,” Love said. “There’s just so many names up there that it would truly be an honor to go up there. Love, a prominent advocate for mental health in the NBA, sees himself entering a field related to wellness after his playing days.</p><p>“For me, it’s doing things like this with Shift Naturals and really leaning into products that I believe in. So, I think that’s something that really interests me. The health and wellness space. I also work in the mental health space as well.
