Kyrie Irving currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets. 

Born on March 23, 1992 in Melbourne, Australia, he is listed at 6' 2" and weighs 195 lbs. An electric guard, Irving’s playing style endears him to fans, as his sick handles, wicked passing and ability to score from anyone on the court makes him one of the most entertaining basketball players of his generation.

A highly prized talent even before going to college, Irving went to high school at St. Patrick (NJ). Nearly every college in the country, especially blue-bloods, chased after Irving. He would eventually, however, commit to play for the famed Duke Blue Devils.

After a single collegiate season ravaged by injuries, his talent was just too much to ignore, with the Cleveland Cavaliers selecting the dnamic guard with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. 

As known for his flat-earth conspiracy theories as he is for his wicked handles, alongside a then returning LeBron James, Kyrie Irving was instrumental in bringing Cleveland its first professional championship in decades.

Though he is sometimes mocked for the way he discusses his belief system, Kyrie often brings up salient points about race, society and numerous other important talking points. 

During his NBA career, Irving also played 6 seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and 2 seasons with the Boston Celtics. He joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 to play alongside superstar Kevin Durant.
