The Spurs, despite being without Victor Wembanyama, have gone out and built a double-digit lead against Luka Doncic and company.</p><p>Of course, the game is not over until it’s over, and the Lakers have three crunch-time assassins they can rely on to try and rescue themselves from the huge deficit they’re facing. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/lakers-news-jj-redick-luka-doncic-return-timeline">Doncic, at the very least, has renewed inspiration</a> especially after experiencing another milestone moment this past week with the birth of his second child, Olivia.</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sneakers/luka-doncic-honors-his-daughter-with-new-jordan-luka-4">Lakers star’s firstborn is named Gabriela</a>, and he used to write down her name on his shoes before every game. Some deemed it “unplayable,” while Luka Doncic commented that it was “dangerous.”</p><p>The Purple and Gold already used their regular court in their final assignment in the group stage against the Dallas Mavericks on November 28.</p><p>Doncic was <a href="https://www.espn.com/nba/preview/_/gameId/401809836" rel="noopener">happy with the move</a>, thanking the Lakers and the NBA for listening to their concerns.</p><p>“They did us a favor. I was talking about it, so I really appreciate both of them, just changing the court and giving us (a chance to) stay healthy,” said the five-time All-Star, as quoted by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.</p><p>The Lakers are aiming for their second title in the NBA Cup after winning the inaugural trophy in 2023. Doncic joked about being a father of two girls after the Lakers’ 112-108 win against the Philadelphia 76ers.</p><p>Doncic says it’s a blessing and joked that he’ll <a href="https://twitter.com/ClutchPoints/status/1997916104749170888" rel="noopener">take on a new career</a> after his playing days.</p><p>“The best thing in the world. Obviously, two girls they’re going to make my life hell, for sure. I know that. I’m going to be their security after I retire,” Doncic said. “All jokes aside, it’s the best thing in the world. I’m just blessed.”</p><p>Luka recorded a triple-double (31 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists) in the Lakers’ four-point win against the Sixers. In his first full season with the Lakers, Doncic is having an MVP-caliber season.
