Fultz bio

Markelle Fultz currently plays for the Orlando Magic. 

He was born on May 29, 1998 in Upper Marlboro, MD. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and weighs 209 lbs. 

Fultz went to high school at DeMatha Catholic (MD) and then went on to attend the University of Washington in college. While at Washington, Fultz was named First-team All-Pac 12 in 2017.

Fultz was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as the No. 1 overall pick in 2017. During his NBA career he played 2 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded to the Orlando Magic. He joined the Magic in 2019.

The Philadelphia 76ers traded up in 2017 to acquire the No. 1 overall pick. In doing so, they sent the No. 3 pick and other pieces back to the Boston Celtics. The 76ers ended up taking Markelle Fultz, who just wasn’t ever able to stay healthy in Philadelphia or live up to the hype of being the first overall pick. Boston selected Jayson Tatum who has emerged as a multiple time all-star and one of the best scorers in the game. Fultz and Tatum will always be linked because of that trade.

Fultz has dealt with the same injury bug that plagued him in Philadelphia while being in Orlando as well.
