Unfortunately, this win came at the cost of Moses Moody, who left the game early and was unavailable in the second half due to a knee issue he had been dealing with heading into the night.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-news-andrew-wiggins-moses-moody-injury-updates-timberwolves-rematch">Moody has recently been dealing with left knee soreness</a>, and this injury flared up early on against the Timberwolves. Ultimately, he only played five minutes before the team shut him down to receive extra treatment and rest.</p><p>After the game, head coach Steve Kerr did not provide much clarity on his wing, simply stating that <a href="https://x.com/NotoriousOHM/status/1865976627332820999" rel="noopener">he didn’t know about Moody’s status</a> for Tuesday’s NBA Cup game, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.</p><p>In 23 games this season, four of which he has started in, Moody has averaged 7.4 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 36.6 percent from three-point range. The Warriors have a rematch against the Wolves on Sunday, and ahead of that game both Wiggins and Moody got status updates.</p><p>Andrew Wiggins and Moses Moody <a href="https://x.com/anthonyVslater/status/1865541212691992747" rel="noopener">are officially listed</a> on the injury report as questionable for the Warriors’ rematch against the Wolves, as per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Both players are the only two players on the team’s injury report.</p><p>Wiggins has been dealing with an ankle injury and left the game on Friday during the third quarter. Moody didn’t play after halftime due to knee soreness.</p><p>Also on the injury front, the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-news-are-stephen-curry-draymond-green-playing-vs-timberwolves">Warriors did welcome back both Draymond Green and Stephen Curry</a> to the lineup. Green had missed two straight games due to a calf injury while Curry has been dealing with knee issues for most of this season.</p><p>Although Green made his return to the lineup, the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-make-shocking-draymond-green-jonathan-kuminga-change">Warriors opted to make a change with Jonathan Kuminga</a> remaining in the starting lineup as Green eases his way back.</p><h2><b>Warriors’ start to 2024-25 season</b></h2><p>Even though the Warriors lost Klay Thompson via free agency this past offseason, they have still been a fairly solid team. The Warriors are currently 13-9 and in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. They did not make the playoffs last year after losing to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in.</p><p>Stephen Curry has been battling knee issues this season, but is still playing at an elite level. He’s been averaging 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.3 steals with splits of 45 percent shooting from the field, 41.4 percent shooting from the three-point line and a league-leading 95.4 percent shooting from the free-throws line.</p><p>A big part of the Warriors pretty solid start to the year has been the continued development of pair of young players in Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. Warriors fans have been clamoring for the duo to get more minutes for the past couple of years, and they’ve solidified their spot on the team.</p><p>Kuminga recently went off for a career-high 33 points in a big win against the Houston Rockets when both Curry and Draymond Green were sidelined. After a scorching start–powered partly by Buddy Hield’s fiery shooting–that propelled them to the top of the Western Conference, the Warriors are now 12-5. Meanwhile, after the Nets game, Warriors guard Moses Moody reflected on his limited role for the team despite Steve Kerr’s focus on depth this season.</p><p>“That’s not a luxury I’ve had through my career so, I’ve kind of had to figure out how to play,” Moody said, via 95.7 The Game on X, formerly Twitter. “Whatever happens, whatever the opportunity is. Moody has been on Golden State since 2021, where he was the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, as Curry has been there along the whole way.</p><p>“But having Steph in the locker room from day one, it pushes me now to thinking like ‘Okay, I can’t let Steph work harder than me because he’s already who he is,'” Moody said. “It lets me know that the better you get, the harder you got to work, the harder you got the opportunity to work because you got to play more and this and that. So that’s been a really good, good thing to have for me, my whole career, just a good role model to equate success to.”</p><p>Even though the revolutionary player can be seen as an untouchable star, he is still one who appreciates being a player on a team that can still improve and be coached. This happened recently when <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-news-draymond-green-message-steve-kerr-yelling-stephen-curry">Kerr was seen yelling at Curry</a> when the team took on the Boston Celtics, as Green even spoke about it on his self-titled podcast.</p><p>While Curry is a long-time veteran, he still wants to add another piece of hardware for the Warriors as the team has a 10-2 record to start the season.
