While the general consensus is that the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/new-york-knicks/1-move-new-york-knicks-shouldve-made-2025-nba-offseason">Knicks are still a piece away</a> from legitimate title contention, the front office has done an impressive job of turning the team from laughingstock to playoff contender in a short amount of time.</p><p>One of the key trade acquisitions for New York over the last couple of years was OG Anunoby, who was brought in from the Toronto Raptors and has been a key part of giving the Knicks a respectable defense despite the team’s best two players–Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns–being weak points on that end.</p><p>Recently, Ronnie 2k revealed that Anunoby confronted him about his rating of 87 in the newest iteration of the game.</p><p>“Last night, after dinner at the Wynn, OG comes up to me and talks my ear off for a half an hour… he was going in on ‘I’m an 87. I should be at least a 92.’ I’m like wow, OK. But he had real thoughts, real feelings, real things to back up,” said Ronnie, per the Big Podcast with Shaq. “His argument was that we skew offensively more than defensively. I actually don’t agree with that. I think we balance it really well.”</p><p>Anunoby has long been known as one of the elite wing perimeter defenders in the league and has added immensely to his offensive game over the years, becoming a key cog for a Knicks team that recently put together its most successful season in a quarter of a century.</p><p>However, ratings of 92 are usually reserved for players considered to be stars or at least star-adjacent, a category that Anunoby doesn’t necessarily fall into.</p><p>Still, with a team led by Brunson and Towns, there’s no understating how important Anunoby is in helping the Knicks secure stops and knock down open three pointers on the other end, in addition to creating his own offense from time to time.</p><p>The Knicks’ schedule is slated to be released later this month.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

The interaction had fans interested in whether their relationship was <a href="https://www.themirror.com/sport/basketball/sunisa-lee-og-anunoby-relationship-1272487.amp" rel="noopener">purely platonic or romantic.</a></p><p>“Honestly, it just started off as a joke, and I feel like social media kind of just, like, took it further than that,” Lee told Mirror U.S. Sports. “But yeah, we’re just friends, and I’m really good friends with a bunch of the guys on the Knicks team, like [Karl-Anthony Towns], and then also I’m really close to [Towns’ partner Jordyn Woods] as well, so it’s cool to see them doing their thing. They won the first two rounds, beating the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics in six games each. Indiana has a 3-2 series lead, meaning they need one more win to secure the series and a trip to the NBA Finals. Anunoby, who won an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, took advantage of a high screen from teammate and New York big man Karl-Anthony Towns to get away from his primary defender.</p><p>However, Pacers versatile forward Pascal Siakam got switched on Anunoby. Siakam is much bigger than Anunoby and has considerable mobility for a player of his size. But Anunoby found a way to shrug off Siakam’s defense, as he dribbled his way into the paint before making an off-balance layup.</p><p>The Knicks are going to need more plays like that if they are to overcome Indiana in Game 4 — and in the series.</p><p>New York trailed the Pacers by five points at the half, with Anunoby scoring 13 points on a 5-for-9 shooting from the field with two rebounds, an assist and a steal in the first two periods of the contest. Towns had 14 points by halftime while Jalen Brunson led the Knicks in the first half with 16 points.</p><p>But regardless of the outcome of Game 4, Chalamet and Stiller will get to watch the Knicks back home at Madison Square Garden for at least one more time, as New York hosts Game 5 of the series on Thursday.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
