On Saturday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Pascal Siakam finally delivered the moment the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/toronto-raptors/raptors-news-brandon-ingram-cold-blooded-take-attacking-pascal-siakam">Pacers had been chasing</a>.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/indiana-pacers/pacers-news-rick-carlisle-indiana-difficult-reality-raptors-loss">Siakam drilled a fading jumper</a> with one-tenth of a second left to lift Indiana to a 103-101 win over the Chicago Bulls. The shot came only three days after Toronto forward Brandon Ingram beat the Pacers at the buzzer and did so by shooting over Siakam in a play that lingered with the All-Star through multiple sleepless nights. This time, Siakam made sure he was on the other side of the highlight.</p><p>Siakam <a href="https://x.com/TonyREast/status/1994976025252618644" rel="noopener">admitted</a> he thought about that Toronto loss as he rose for the final shot. He said he spent nights replaying what he could have done differently against Ingram. So, Siakam did not want to relive that pain. When the ball dropped through the net, he felt relief more than celebration.</p><h2><b>It’s hard not to celebrate Pacers superstar Pascal Siakam</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Siakam.jpg"><figcaption>Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>It did not stop his teammates from mobbing him. Siakam offered Andrew Nembhard a handshake before the bench swarmed the pair. Nembhard jumped onto Siakam and even stole his headband during the pileup. Siakam laughed later and said he would look for the culprit on film.</p><p>The Pacers needed the moment as much as he did. Indiana has been forced to lean on Siakam with Tyrese Haliburton recovering from an Achilles tendon tear suffered in last season’s Finals. Siakam leads the Pacers in scoring and rebounding and has felt the weight of a 4-16 start. Coach Rick Carlisle said the final play was designed for Siakam because max players are trusted to deliver in those situations.</p><p>The Bulls had taken control with a seven-point lead late in the fourth quarter before Indiana clamped down and allowed just four points in the final four minutes. Siakam scored key baskets down the stretch, then created space with a shot fake before burying the winner over two defenders.</p><p>Carlisle called it well deserved. For the Pacers, it felt overdue. He has been the top scoring option as the team is going through significant struggles following Tyrese Haliburton’s Achilles injury in the 2025 NBA Finals. Injuries have also affected several key players on the roster, impacting their trajectory to begin the 2025-26 campaign as well.</p><p>The contest against the Bulls went down to the wire, but Siakam refused to let Indiana fall to their division rival. In the final seconds of the game, he received the inbound pass as he <a href="https://x.com/ClutchPoints/status/1994963523089367312" rel="noopener">dribbled to his spot in the mid-range</a> and fired the shot. The shot was successful as Indiana took the final lead of the night.</p><p>Siakam <a href="https://x.com/ClutchPoints/status/1994966696537592146" rel="noopener">reflected on the win</a> after the game on the broadcast. He finished with a stat line of 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks. He shot 11-of-23 from the field, including 1-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line. Bennedict Mathurin came next with 19 points and six rebounds while Jay Huff, Andrew Nembhard and Isaiah Jackson produced 14 points each.</p><p>Indiana improved to a 4-16 record on the season, holding the 13th spot of the Eastern Conference standings. Brandon Ingram vs. Pascal Siakam, one-on-one at the elbow with the clock melting away. Siakam was sitting on five fouls. Ingram knew it.</p><p>“I knew he was in foul trouble and I knew he didn’t want to be overly aggressive, so he was at my mercy at that point,” Ingram <a href="https://x.com/JLew1050/status/1993887224761594097?s=20" rel="noopener">told reporters</a> after the win.</p><p>The numbers back up how ruthless that read was. According to the ESPN box score, Brandon Ingram finished with 26 points, eight rebounds, and two steals on 11-of-23 shooting, including 3-of-5 from deep, while carrying the Raptors’ offense late. Pascal Siakam countered with 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists, but picked up his fifth foul midway through the fourth and clearly had to dial back his physicality on that final possession.</p><p>The Toronto Raptors needed every bit of it. They trailed by as many as 12 in the third quarter before climbing back and keeping the game within one possession for most of the fourth. But the Indiana Pacers actually held the scoring edge late, outscoring Toronto 25-21 in the final frame, according to the ESPN box score.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/toronto-raptors/raptors-news-scottie-barnes-declaration-toronto-success">Scottie Barnes added 24 points and 10 rebounds</a>, while Immanuel Quickley chipped in 15 points and six assists as Toronto shot 49 percent from the field.</p><p>On the other side, the Indiana Pacers got solid efforts across the board, but their late-game execution slipped in the final minute, opening the door for Brandon Ingram’s winner.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

The Indiana Pacers were certainly last season’s team of fate — only for everything to come undone in Game 7 of the NBA Finals after <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/indiana-pacers/pacers-news-tyrese-haliburton-provides-positive-update-on-achilles-injury-recovery">Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles</a> in the first quarter of their eventual defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder. That seems to have set off an unfortunate chain reaction for the Pacers, as they seemingly couldn’t get any luck on the injury front.</p><p>Entering their Monday night clash against their rival Milwaukee Bucks, they were missing five key guys from last season’s runner-up squad. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/indiana-pacers/injuries">Joining Haliburton on the mend</a> were TJ McConnell, Andrew Nembhard, Bennedict Mathurin, and Obi Toppin. Any other team would have folded. But not this Pacers team. Led by Pascal Siakam, they overturned a double-digit deficit in the fourth against the Bucks, only for Giannis Antetokounmpo to drain a buzzer-beater to hand the Pacers a 117-115 defeat.</p><p>The Pacers have now lost six of their first seven games of the season, and it hasn’t been for a lack of trying. They really wanted to earn this win against the Bucks, but the basketball gods seemingly don’t have their backs anymore. And all Siakam could do is <a href="https://x.com/DustinDopirak/status/1985549184951345441" rel="noopener">power through</a> the pain.</p><p>“It’s almost laughable. But it’s not funny,” Siakam said, per Dustin Dopirak of the Indianapolis Star. “You want to feel good about the effort, but the result isn’t there. It’s hard, hard time for us as a team. We just have to keep going. … It’s hard to be positive but we have to.”</p><p>This season is shaping up to be a lost one for the Pacers. Nonetheless, fans should continue to count on them to give it their all until the very end.</p><h2><b>Pascal Siakam has unenviable task of leading depleted Pacers</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Pascal-Siakam.jpg"><figcaption>Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Pacers are cobbling together a workable roster in the rubble caused by their injury woes. The good news is that they have multiple-time All-Star Siakam leading the way. But there are so many question marks up and down the roster that it’s imperative for Siakam to be at his best every night just for Indiana to have a shot at winning.</p><p>The likes of Aaron Nesmith, Jarace Walker, and Isaiah Jackson will need to step up quickly, lest they risk burning Siakam out this early in the new season. Someone among the Pacers’ guards (Quenton Jackson, RayJ Dennis, Taelon Peter) should also make the starting job theirs for the time being.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
