BIOGRAPHY

Russell Westbrook currently plays for the Washington Wizards.

Born on November 12, 1988 in Long Beach, California, he is listed at 6' 3" and weighs 200 lbs.

Westbrook went to high school at Leuzinger (CA). A dynamic high school prospect who was heavily recruited by numerous programs, Westbrook eventually committed to play for the famed UCLA Bruins.

Known mostly only a high-flyer in college with defensive upside, he was eventually selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder as the #4 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Later in his career, he’d prove that he had more potential than anyone could have ever predicted.

One of the most athletic players of his generation, Russell Westbrook once teamed with Kevin Durant and James Harden -- all OKC draft selections -- for the Thunder. After Harden left to give solo stardom a chance, Westbrook stepped up his game, becoming a triple-double magnet.

Known for several interesting tidbits off the court, Westbrook enjoys pop music and is a noted fan of musical sensation Taylor Swift.

During his NBA career, Westbrook also played 11 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder and 1 season with the Houston Rockets. He joined the Washington Wizards in 2020 after a blockbuster trade involving John Wall.
