He split time last season with the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat, appearing in just 25 games.</p><p>Anderson isn’t the player he used to be, but he can still stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting. Plus, he already has a rapport with D’Antoni and his offensive system.</p><p>Anderson, 31, has career averages of <a href="https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/anderry01.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">12.4 points</a> and 5.3 rebounds in 647 games with the New Jersey Nets (now Brooklyn Nets), Orlando Magic, New Orleans Pelicans, Rockets, Suns and Heat. He’s a career 42.2 percent shooter from the field and 38.0 percent from beyond the arc.</p><p>During the 2017-18 season, when the Rockets had the best record in the NBA, Anderson put up 9.3 points while shooting 43.1 percent overall and 38.6 percent from the 3-point line. He played with the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat last year, averaging a combined 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.</p><p>Now, the 31-year-old power forward is focused in returning to form and showing everyone in the Association that he can still hoop with the best of them</p><blockquote>“I would like to bounce back from last year,” Anderson said, per <a href="https://m.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Ryan-Anderson-return-Rockets-feels-like-never-left-14475702.php" rel="noopener noreferrer">Jonathan Feigen of Houston Chronicle</a> “It was a tough year. It was a year that I could not have imagined happening. I mean, going from a veteran team to an all young team that’s trying to find themselves, find an identity. It feels good to be back with a group that has an identity. I know what that identity is, and you know what the main goal is. So, I feel really good to be back. But yeah, that’s just how life is sometimes. It’s full circle. But ultimately, I’m here and I’m happy to be here.“It’s a wild business. It’s a great business. It’s a beautiful game. I’m fortunate to do this 12 years now. You blink and it goes by. It’s wild.”</blockquote><p>Anderson played with the Rockets for two seasons, from 2016 to 2018. He had an astounding year for the team in 2016-17, putting up 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.</p><p>Unfortunately, the Rockets had to move him in the summer of 2018 to get rid of his enormous contract.
