Both Kevin Knox and Saddiq Bey had been in the league for a couple of years now and they no doubt took Ivey under their wing and helped get him acclimated to the NBA.</p><p>This season, Knox had been averaging 5.6 points per game and 2.6 rebounds with shooting splits of 46.9 percent and 37.1 percent shooting from the three-point line while playing in 42 games. Bey was averaging 14.8 points and 4.6 rebounds with shooting splits of 40.4 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from three-point range. Knox will be on his fourth team in five years while Bey had spent all of his seasons in the league with the Pistons thus far.</p><p>The Pistons still have some solid young pieces, including Ivey who is one of the team’s centerpieces. Edwards III wrote on Sunday.</p><p>“Additionally, in talking to people around the league, it does appear that of Bogdanović, Burks and Bey, the latter may be the most gettable. However, a few league sources have recently [said] they would be surprised if Bey is traded.”</p><p>Edwards III does consider Saddiq Bey the most “gettable” Piston ahead of the deadline; the 23-year-old first-round draft pick in 2020 will be due for an extension in the summer of 2024.</p><p>“I’ve gathered that it’s not a given that the Pistons part with Bey. At 23, he’s already a legit NBA player with room to improve,” Edwards asserts. “There certainly are reasons to hesitate when pondering any potential trades involving Bey, especially given his age, his ability to score in bunches and, despite being a streaky 3-point shooter the last two seasons, he is a respectable threat from distance.”</p><p>If the Pistons were to take Bey into restricted free agency in the summer of 2024, it would give the team one more year of true evaluation with a more competitive roster and a healthy Cade Cunningham.</p><p>Edwards believes the Detroit front office will not entertain a Saddiq Bey trade unless they are presented with an offer too good to refuse ahead of Thursday’s NBA Trade Deadline.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

However, while most of the smoke coming out of the Knicks camp has centered around young wing Cam Reddish, the most recent rumor is one regarding Detroit <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/pistons-news-saddiq-beys-rogue-screwup-that-worked-out-perfectly-on-stunning-game-winner-vs-warriors" rel="noopener">Pistons forward Saddiq Bey</a>.</p><p>“In general, a name that has been <a href="https://www.sny.tv/video/ian-begley-on-og-anunoby-saddiq-bey-and-other-potential-trade-deadline-moves-for-the-knicks-begley-s-mailbag" rel="noopener">talked about recently</a> is Saddiq Bey in Detroit,” relays SNY’s Ian Begley.</p><p>“The Knicks are among the teams that have registered some interest in Saddiq,” Begley adds. “…Bey, obviously a Villanova guy, wing, could help the Knicks from a depth perspective.”</p><p>Bey, who is in his third season after being selected with the 19th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, is averaging 14.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game this season. While a player whose skillset is more of a jack-of-all-trades type than a specialist, Bey has nonetheless managed to standout for his ability to get to the free-throw line.</p><p>He also <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/pistons-news-saddiq-beys-epic-villain-rant-after-dropping-51-on-magic" rel="noopener">poured in a career-high 51 points</a> against the Orlando Magic last season, highlighting his capabilities as an x-factor offensively.</p><p>However, as Begley alludes to, there is another attractive attribute of Bey that’s quite significant. Aside from his tendency to get hot and his 34.3 percent free-throw rate this season, the experience he gained at Villanova while playing for Jay Wright, is invaluable. Though Villanova is struggling this season, they’re considered one of the perennial powerhouses in the NCAA due to their discipline and dedication to the defensive end.</p><p>Those are exactly the type of traits that the Knicks need to add to their rotation.
