The team is 6-4 over its last ten games and is currently only a half-game behind the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/jazz-news-utah-fans-go-nuts-over-walker-kesslers-game-winning-block-vs-celtics" rel="noopener">Utah Jazz</a> for the tenth-best record in the Western Conference.</p><p>But despite the Lakers’ encouraging play of late, the team still has holes to address, namely its lack of depth at the center spot. The Lakers are without any highly reliable big men to back up <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-anthony-davis-austin-reaves-magic" rel="noopener">Anthony Davis</a>, as the team’s reserve center at the moment is Wenyen Gabriel.</p><p>So in hopes of bolstering the team at the center spot, the Lakers recently held tryouts with free-agent centers Tristan Thompson and Tony Bradley. He’s best known for his years as a Cleveland Cavalier and his role on the 2016 championship team. Thompson averaged 9.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game across 619 games with the Cavaliers (429 starts).</p><p>Meanwhile, Tony Bradley, 25, is in his sixth year in the NBA. He played 19 games for the Bulls during the 2022-23 campaign and averaged 1.6 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.1 assists during that span.</p><p>It remains to be seen if Thompson or Bradley will end up playing for the Lakers this season. But Thompson certainly stands out as the more accomplished center of the two. It must be a pretty helpless feeling when you’re upwards of seven feet tall and getting picked up and carried like a toddler.</p><p>It’s a testament to just how strong Adams is that he can casually pick up 250-pound humans like it’s nothing. Jackson and Bradley can likely go through the rest of their careers just fine not experiencing that again.</p><p>However, while hilarious, this moment can also be viewed as a lesson to the rest of the NBA. After some contact in the paint between Ja Morant and Tony Bradley, the two parties had to be separated. Well, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/players/steven-adams/ac7909ac">Steven Adams</a> was the one who handled the separation, as he lifted Bradley off his feet and carried him away from the situation. If there was any question over who the strongest player in the NBA is, simply refer to this clip for your answer. Steven Adams is absolutely not someone you want to mess with, and he showed why on Monday.</p><p>The incident occurred midway through the fourth quarter, with the Grizzlies holding a sizable lead over the injury-riddled Bulls. Whether the antics were a result of Bradley’s frustrations boiling over, or just two basketball players getting physical inside the paint, is unclear. What is clear, however, is that Adams probably bench presses minivans in his spare time, and has presented his case as the most jacked individual in the league.</p><p>Bradley may just think twice about stirring the pot next time the Bulls face the Grizzlies, as he just got a lesson in why you don’t go after Morant, courtesy of the Australian center.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

While the Sixers are entering a new regime, Philadelphia has traded Smith to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tony Bradley, per <a href="https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1330621750661566466?s=20">ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski</a>.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">The 76ers are trading G Zhaire Smith to the Pistons for C Tony Bradley, sources tell ESPN.</p><p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a href="https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1330621750661566466?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank">November 22, 2020</a></p></blockquote><p></p></figure><p>It remains to be seen if the trade involves any other pieces for either side. But for the time being, the Sixers and Pistons are just swapping players, sending Smith to Detroit for Bradley.</p><p>Smith was a first-round pick by Philadelphia in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Texas Tech. In his rookie season, as the No. 16 overall pick, Smith would play in just six games for the Sixers.</p><p>In those six games, Smith would record 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He would also shoot 37.5 percent from 3-point range, showing that he can space the floor at the wing.</p><p>However, in his second year with Philadelphia in the 2019-20 season, Smith played in just seven games. The 20-year-old guard would fail to make a single 3-pointer and wouldn’t get many opportunities last season.</p><p>Back in February, ahead of the NBA trade deadline, the Sixers <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba-trade-rumors-sixers-zhaire-smith-mentioned-in-possible-trade-packages-for-pistons-derrick-rose/">spoke about a trade</a> involving Smith that would have sent him to the Pistons for Derrick Rose. While Detroit and Philadelphia picked back up talks for Smith, Rose isn’t part of the trade for the unproven guard.</p><p>For the Sixers, they are getting a player in Bradley who also hasn’t had success in the NBA yet. Maybe a change of scenery for Smith and Bradley can allow them to reach their potential moving forward.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
