Trae Young currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks.
Born on September 19, 1998 in Lubbock, Texas, he is listed at 6' 1" and weighs 180 lbs.
Young went to high school at Norman North (OK). After high school, Young committed to play for the Oklahoma Sooners. While in college, Trae Young wowed an entire nation with his dazzling play, often carrying the Sooners on his back.
However, with great hypes comes even greater scrutiny. Even with his clear offensive skills being generational, there were concerns about his ability to play defense. In turn, in the 2018 NBA Draft, Young slide to the No. 5 overall pick.
Luckily for the Atlanta Hawks, after some deals made with the Dallas Mavericks, Young was headed to one of the league’s most interesting cities.
An absolute superstar with the ball in his hands, and a somehow underrated ability to pass the rock, Trae Young has become one of the rare must-watch players in the NBA.
While early in his career, most wonder if he’ll remain a member of the Hawks for long or search for greener pastures. Most put this onus on the Hawks as an organization to figure it out.
During his NBA career he has played for Atlanta Hawks since 2018.
