As players scattered across the field for jersey swaps, and other post-game brouhaha, Henry found his old quarterback in the shuffle.</p><p>A lot has changed for the former Tennessee Titans tandem, but their friendship <a href="https://x.com/brgridiron/status/1846300027448082709" rel="noopener">appears to be intact</a>.</p><p>Henry was seen jumping for joy at Mariota, as fans watched reminiscing of their time together early in their careers. Mariota was selected by the Titans with the No. 2 overall pick in 2015. Henry joined the squad the next year, as a second-rounder.</p><p>The Titans gradually improved when the two talented players shifted the offense. They put together three-straight winning seasons from 2016 to 2018, before the team brought in Ryan Tannehill to take over as starting quarterback. Mariota exited Tennessee for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020, and he’s had stints with the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles and currently Washington.</p><p>While Mariota developed more into a journeyman QB in recent years, he looks to have maintained his connection to his former teammate. He’s now amassed 704 yards on 119 carries for eight touchdowns in his first season with the Ravens. After a star-studded six campaigns in Tennessee, Henry’s continuing his dominance, which many fans were concerned about when he joined forces with Lamar Jackson.</p><p>In the Ravens’ 30-23 victory over the Commanders in Week 6, Henry posted his third 100-plus yard outing, and scored two touchdowns. However, the Ravens know that they can always get better.</p><p>Which is why Baltimore signed defensive end Yannick Ngakoue <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1846012152491954438" rel="noopener">to their active roster</a>, via Adam Schefter of ESPN. Ngakoue had been on the Ravens’ practice squad.</p><p>He has already appeared in two games for the team in 2024, racking up a tackle, two quarterback hits and a sack. Furthermore, Ngakoue has <a href="https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/yannick-ngakoue/10703" rel="noopener">earned a decent 69.6 grade</a> from Pro Football Focus, relative to his playing time.</p><p>By signing him to the active roster, the Ravens achieve two things. For starters, Ngakoue is a respected defensive lineman, which will help Baltimore’s front line. Furthermore, any other team in the league would’ve been able to sign him off the practice squad. Now, the team ensured Ngakoue doesn’t leave any time soon.</p><p>While <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-lamar-jackson-pick-your-poison-warning">much has been made about Lamar Jackson and the offense</a>, Baltimore’s defense ranks right in the middle of the pack. Literally, the Ravens rank 16th in total defense, allowing 334.7 yards per game. They have excelled against the run, leading the league by allowing just 59 YPG. However, the pass defense has struggled, ranking 31st by allowing 275.7 YPG.</p><p>Yannick Ngakoue won’t be lining up at quarterback anytime soon. However, perhaps his pressure off the line makes things easier on Baltimore’s secondary. The Ravens clearly liked what they saw and think Ngakoue could be a contributor for the remainder of the season.</p><p>It isn’t the first time Baltimore and the defensive end linked up. Ngakoue played for the Ravens back in 2020. That season, the team lost in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Entering Week 7 with a 4-2 record, the Ravens are looking to go much further this time around. But there’s still work to be done, and here are two overreactions after the Ravens’ victory over the Commanders.</p><p>Included in the mix is quarterback Lamar Jackson. Yes, he’s having a tremendous season so far. But we’ve seen this story before from the two-time AP most valuable player. The question is: Can Jackson put together these same performances and provide leadership that leads the Ravens to the Super Bowl?</p><h2><b>Overreaction #1</b></h2><h2><b>Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has figured it out</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Baltimore-Ravens-QB-Lamar-Jackson_94d98c.jpg"><figcaption>Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>In some ways, this is an unfair overreaction because it can’t be proved right or wrong until the postseason arrives. So consider it a mild overreaction because Jackson has turned on the jets from a performance standpoint in 2024. If the MVP voting occurred today, it might be No. 3 for him.</p><p>Jackson has completed 67% of his passes for 1,529 yards and 10 touchdowns with only two interceptions. The pace represents a career high in yardage (4,332) and the TD pace would be the second-best of his career at 28. His passing TDs have been on the lower side in his seven years in the league because of his rushing-score prowess, and the Ravens commitment to running the ball inside the 10-yard line. On the ground, Jackson has rushed for 403 yards this season, a pace for 1,141 yards, second-best for his career.</p><p>Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Jackson <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/transcripts-press-conference-ravens-vs-commanders-week-6" rel="noopener">did his usual thing</a> in the 30-23 win over the Commanders, according to baltimoreravens.com.</p><p>“I thought Lamar (Jackson) had a great game,” Harbaugh said. “He was on point against man coverage. They were loading the box up against the run and playing a lot of man coverage, which they had not done a lot of throughout the course (of the season). We had a lot of first- and second-down play-action passes up. Guys like Zay (Flowers were) running crossing routes and sail routes away from those guys, and they were on our guys, but (they had) enough separation (and) Lamar dotted it. These guys made contested catches on the run and then made guys miss after the catch, as well.”</p><h2><b>Lamar Jackson still has help from his friends</b></h2><p>Jackson’s job is made easier this year because of the addition of Derrick Henry, and the further emergence of wide receiver Zay Flowers, despite a couple of down games this year. The Ravens are difficult to defend, and the offense is clicking.</p><p>“That’s the offensive story of the game, absolutely,” Harbaugh said of the Commanders’ games. “We didn’t know if they were going to play a lot of man or not, but they did, and I understand why they did. With all the quarterback and the run game stuff, they felt like they had to. They know how to stop stuff; they run those plays, and for Lamar to put those passes where he did, and for the guys to make those plays, was the difference in the game.”</p><p>But Jackson still has to prove his playoff numbers can match the regular season. In six posteason games, he’s hit on only 61% of his passes for 1,324 yards. That’s an average of 220 yards per game. Worst of all, however, is his 6-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio. That’s not going to cut it in the postseason.</p><p>Let’s face it, the Ravens had everything lined up in 2023 and still lost to the Chiefs. Jackson and his $260 million contract joined with a defense that led the NFL in sacks and DVOA. So until Jackson plays on Super Bowl Sunday, it’s an overreaction to say he’s figured it out.</p><h2>Overreaction #2</h2><h2><b>Derrick Henry will keep scoring TDs like this</b></h2><p>He’s a beast in an offense that is tough to defend. And when the Ravens get inside the 5-yard line, who’s going to stop that guy behind that line?</p><p>Well, the truth is, it will happen at certain points this season. Some defensive coordinators will overcommit to the run, just to make the Ravens do soemthing else. If all the gaps are full, even Henry’s beastly frame won’t open them all the time.</p><p>With eight scores in six games, and perhaps most impressively a touchdown in six straight games, Henry is off and running with the Ravens. He became the first player since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005 to score a rushing touchdown in each of his first six games of a season. Henry’s nine total touchdowns through six games are the most in Ravens’ history.</p><p>Need it be said, but defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike anointed Henry <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/derrick-henry-historic-start-baltimore-ravens-commanders#:~:text=Henry%20became%20the%20first%20player,back%20Robert%20Edwards%20in%201998)." rel="noopener">as the best</a>, according to baltimoreravens.com</p><p>“He’s the king,” Madubuike said. “He’s ‘King Henry’ for a reason, and I’m glad he’s on our side.”</p><h2><b>RB Derrick Henry works at his craft</b></h2><p>Henry said he takes pride in being a finisher.</p><p>“I definitely just want to be able to close the game so we can win, and everybody is happy,” Henry said. “And everybody is high-fiving in the locker room. You have to take pride in that — to be able to finish games and have the ball last.”</p><p>Center Tyler Linderbaum added, “In the fourth quarter, when it’s time for us to run the ball and get a first down, that’s how we need to finish games. That’s what good teams do. I think teams preach (finishing) all the time, but he’s certainly a guy that absolutely does it, just with his size and speed. He’s a fun player to play with, and then just having (Jackson) back there as well, it’s challenging for defenses.”</p><p>However, Henry will slow down. His current pace puts him at 26 touchdowns for the season. And while it’s not impossible he will reach that total, he’s 30 years old and only three players in the history of the NFL have scored that many times in a single season. Tomlinson had 28 in 2006, Shaun Alexander totaled 27 im 2005, and Priest Holmes had 27 in 2003.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

Likewise, the game saw a duel between two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks: Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels. Jackson went 20-26 for 323 yards, one touchdown and an interception, while Daniels went 24-35 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Moreover, Ravens running back <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-derrick-henry-joins-exclusive-club-latest-td">Derrick Henry entered the NFL record books</a> by becoming only the second player in league history to score a touchdown in his first six games with a new team.</p><p>“Much love Flock Nation,” Henry said after the game, via <a href="https://x.com/KingHenry_2/status/1845579779967258636" rel="noopener">this post</a> on X, formerly Twitter. With his accomplishment, he matched LaDainian Tomlinson’s achievement in 2005.</p><h2><b>Week 6: Ravens def. Commanders</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Derrick-Henry-celebrates-a-touchdown.jpg"><figcaption>© Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>As of Week 6, Derrick Henry also led the NFL in rushing touchdowns, having scored his eighth and ninth touchdowns for the Ravens against the Commanders. In all, the elite RB had 24 carries, 132 rushing yards, and two touchdowns.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Commanders’ defense struggled to contain Henry and Jackson, who helped the Ravens gain 484 yards, and who ultimately broke their winning streak at four games. However, that the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/meet-jayden-daniels-commanders-no-2-pick-2024-nfl-draft">former No. 2 draft pick Jayden Daniels</a> kept it close to one of the league’s genuine Super Bowl contenders still speaks to the Commanders’ resurgence.</p><p>“We got so many guys that can make plays, a lot of guys are getting the chances, getting the ball and being able to showcase their talents,” Henry <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/jackson-outduels-daniels-henry-runs-tds-ravens-beat-114764943" rel="noopener">said after the game</a>, via Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press. “That’s what you want as an offense.”</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-lamar-jackson-locks-up-second-mvp-award-career">reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson</a> also noted the Ravens’ offensive versatility.</p><p>“Just a pick your poison offense,” he said.</p><p>Meanwhile, Mark Andrews, who caught his first touchdown pass of the season after having the ball bounce off his hands for an interception, echoed Jackson’s comments.</p><p>“Guys are going to get their touches and get the ball and good things will happen,” he said. He also carried 11 times for 40 yards.</p><p>Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Jackson <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/transcripts-press-conference-ravens-vs-commanders-week-6" rel="noopener">had a great game</a>, according to baltimoreravens.com.</p><p>“He was on point against man coverage,” Harbaugh said. “They were loading the box up against the run and playing a lot of man coverage, which they had not done a lot of throughout the course (of the season). We had a lot of first- and second-down play-action passes up. Guys like Zay (Flowers were) running crossing routes and sail routes away from those guys, and they were on our guys, but (they had) enough separation (and) Lamar dotted it. These guys made contested catches on the run and then made guys miss after the catch, as well.”</p><p>Meanwhile, Daniels completed 24 of 35 passes for 269 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He carried six times for 22 yards. Jackson said Daniels is for real.</p><p>“I believe (Jayden Daniels) deserves all the hype he’s getting,” Jackson said. “He played a tremendous game out there. They just came up short. He’s been proving it. His rookie season — first six games he’s been playing amazing.”</p><p>Jackson’s teammate Roquan Smith agreed.</p><p>“Washington is in good hands with (Daniels),” Smith said. “He’s the truth, for sure. He can run it, he can throw it — whatever you want — and for him to come into a hostile environment and perform the way he did, I’ve got much respect for him. He took some licks, too. I heard he was tough as nails, anyway, and even from watching him in college at a couple games, but he showed that. So, much respect and love for that guy.”</p><p>“Just knowing that it’s a rookie quarterback, and you’ve got to lay the hits on him and try to affect him. Because most of the time, when you hit people in a nasty way, you definitely affect them. But the guy is tough as nails. He hopped right back up and kept it going. Jackson completed 20-of-26 passes for 323 yards, one TD, one INT and added 40 rushing yards.</p><h2><b>If Ravens’ defense catches up with the offense, it’s over</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Ravens-Lamar-Jackson-extending-the-play.jpg"><figcaption>© Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>After beating the Bills 35-10 two weeks ago, Ravens.com’s Clifton Brown <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/pick-poison-offense-chess-checkers-lamar-jackson-todd-monken-derrick-henry" rel="noopener">coined them</a> a “pick your poison offense.” And it was spurred by how Jackson defined his offense after that balanced offensive win.</p><p>“They have to get prepared for those guys who are running those routes – our receivers and our tight ends and sometimes our running backs,” Jackson said.</p><p>“It’s just playing chess and not checkers out there on that field. That’s basically what it is with our offense, because any given game depending on what the defense is giving us, [it’s like,] ‘OK they’re stopping the run, so now we just air it out, or if they’re stopping the pass – they’re going Cover 2, cover four quarters and stuff like that – we [are] running the ball. It’s hard to defend us, that’s what I believe.”</p><p>Unfortunately for all the points being scored, Baltimore is allowing too many scores as well. Their 149 points allowed is the sixth-most in the NFL. Thankfully, the Ravens have scored 177, which is the third-best.</p><p>S Marcus Williams has an abysmal 43.2 PFF grade, ranking him 74th out of 79 safeties. S Eddie Jackson isn’t much further ahead with a 53.9 grade, 62nd out of 79. And things came all in fun when Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was “mad” at Jackson.</p><p>Jackson <a href="https://x.com/jamisonhensley/status/1845563076814262345" rel="noopener">revealed the “anger”</a> in postgame comments, according to a post on X by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.</p><p>“I told him last week he’s supposed to score,” Jackson said. “And I threw a bad ball. He was open on the left side of Cincinnati. I told him I gotta get you into the end zone next week. I was ticked off at myself. You was mad at me, too, but you didn’t say nothing about it. He told me, ‘I was mad at you at first. Because that’s another weapon that we have that’s going to happen. It’s just part of the versatility of the offense, which is really important.”</p><p>Coming into Sunday’s game, Andrews had totaled only 10 catches for 120 yards. A perhaps even more concerning statistic came from his targets with only 14. But this game likely shows Andrews is ready to embark on a good run.</p><p>Andrews said recently he’s ready <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-news-ravens-te-mark-andrews-sends-clear-message-to-teammate-lamar-jackson" rel="noopener">to get on track</a>, according the ravens website via bolavip.com.</p><p>“I’m the same player I’ve always been. It’s just balls haven’t come my way,”Andrews said. “I feel great. I think I’m doing a lot of things better than I ever have.”</p><p>Jackson authored another strong game, completing 20 of 26 passes for 323 yards with a touchdown. With his latest rushing touchdown, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-derrick-henry-ties-mike-evans-td-milestone">Henry once again etched his name in the NFL record books</a>.</p><p>Midway through the second quarter of their Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders, Henry found the hole for a three-yard score. He <a href="https://x.com/jamisonhensley/status/1845523710008021004" rel="noopener">became the second player</a> since the 1970 merger with a touchdown in the first six games with his new team. He led the league in rushing touchdowns. His effort against the Commanders shows he isn’t looking to give up that lead coming out of Week 6.</p><p>While Baltimore already had Lamar Jackson, adding Henry to the mix has given them an even more explosive offense. Before Week 6 they ranked first in total offense, averaging 447.6 yards per game. Their run game also tops the league, averaging 211.2 YPG. No other team has broken the 200 YPG barometer.</p><p>Derrick Henry’s production is <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/grading-derrick-henrys-2-year-16-million-contract-with-ravens">everything and more the Ravens were hoping for</a> when they signed him to a two-year, $16 million contract. But while he has four Pro Bowls, an All-Pro and an Offensive Player of the Year to his name, Henry has yet to compete for a Super Bowl. The Ravens haven’t made the championship since 2012, when they won it all.</p><p>Both sides are hoping their union ends with gold. If Henry continues running as he has, opposing defenses are going to have an even tougher time to stop Baltimore. Well, you've come to the right place.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Editorials</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>Though it hasn’t always been pretty, the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-ravens-lamar-jackson-dissatisfaction-win-vs-bengals">Baltimore Ravens are currently sitting in first place</a> in the AFC North.</p><p>That’s right, despite having a slew of injuries, issues on the offensive line, and the s<a href="https://clutchpoints.com/commanders-vs-ravens-prediction-odds-pick-for-nfl-week-6-2024">econd-worst passing defense in the NFL</a>, the Ravens have found a way to win when it matters, keep things close when they can’t, and look like a certified contender in all five of their games so far.</p><p>Riding the momentum of three-straight victories, can the Ravens continue their winning ways in Week 6 and beyond, putting some distance between themselves and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals? Maybe so, but if Eric DeCosta is smart, he’ll be sure to leverage that faith with some additional firepower at the trade deadline. Fortunately, there are a few interesting options on the table that could do just that, including a pair of former Pro Bowlers heading towards exits from their current teams.</p><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Darius-Slay-on-the-field-for-the-Eagles_63862f.jpg"><figcaption>Tim Heitman-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><h2><b>1. A sixth-round pick to the Eagles for Darius Slay</b></h2><p>In case you haven’t heard, the Ravens’ passing defense is bad.</p><p>Taking the field at anything but 100 percent, with Arthur Maulet, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Christian Matthew, and Trayvon Mullen all on IR and Marlon Humphrey questionable with an ankle injury, the Ravens’ defense has <a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/rav/2024.htm" rel="noopener">allowed an astounding 1,401 yards</a> through the air through five games, a mark only one team has surpassed. Teams have thrown on the Ravens with impunity, attempting 187 on the season, and thus far, that aggressive aerial attack has been rewarded, with opposing QBs completing an average of 66.8 percent of their passes and reaching the endzone nine times for good measure.</p><p>Sure, the Ravens will get healthier as the season goes on – unless they suffer even more injuries – and could rebound if young players like Nate Wiggins step up, but even at full strength, do they have enough depth to really contend with the best teams the AFC has to offer on the way to the Super Bowl? It certainly doesn’t sound like it.</p><p>Fortunately, there is a defensive back on the market who could not only help to boost the Ravens’ depth but one they’ve <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/darius-slay-real-reason-raven-late-for-work-news-patrick-queen-patrick-ricard" rel="noopener">actually shown interest in in the past in Darius Slay</a>, the Philadelphia Eagles cornerback set to take the field in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.</p><p>Now, on paper, Slay is having a bad year under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. He’s allowed 1<a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SlayDa00.htm" rel="noopener">4 catches on 21 targets for 129 yards</a> and two touchdowns, and even his on-ball production is slightly down, defensive just two passes through four games. Factor in the exciting young cornerbacks on the Eagles roster in Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Kelee Ringo, and Isaiah Rodgers, and it’s entirely possible Howie Roseman would be willing to let Slay go even for a mid-Day 3 pick like a sixth-rounder.</p><p>If the two teams work something out that makes sense financially, Slay could be a fantastic late-career addition to Zach Orr’s defense and potentially help to add some playmaking to a secondary that has recorded just three turnovers in 2024.</p><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Josh-Jones-on-the-field-for-the-Ravens.jpg"><figcaption>Reggie Hildred-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><h2><b>2. Josh Jacobs, a fourth to the Browns for Amari Cooper</b></h2><p>When the Ravens signed Josh Jacobs this offseason, it felt like a fantastic buy-low opportunity to add a top-40 left tackle to the roster on the cheap.</p><p>On paper, Jacobs is a player who should vastly outperform his<a href="https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneJo07.htm" rel="noopener"> sub-$2 million price tag</a>, as he’s earned snaps at both tackle spots and guard at the NFL level since being drafted in the third round out of Houston back in 2020 but he’s really only shined as a left tackle in reserve duty, with his efforts at his three other positions producing far less effective results.</p><p>So, if Jacobs is more of a one-position backup than a four-position reserve, and Ronnie Stanley has played 99.42 percent of the Ravens’ snaps in 2024, could they consider moving off of the journeyman’s contract if it brings back a more immediate contributor?</p><p>Well, considering the Browns’ need at tackle after placing James Hudson III and Hakeem Adeniji on IR, Jacobs might just be the sweetener needed to get a deal done for Amari Cooper, who is the sort of calming veteran presence who could boost the Ravens’ passing game down the stretch.</p><p>Now granted, could the Browns refuse to make a trade out of principle? Sure, that has happened plenty of times in the past and will continue to happen well into the future, but considering where the Ravens sit in 2024, how ineffective the Browns’ passing game has been this season, and how motivated both teams could be to right the ship, such a deal could be mutually beneficial.</p><p>At 30, with his contract <a href="https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/16728/amari-cooper" rel="noopener">set to expire at the end of the season</a>, Cooper likely won’t call Cleveland home after the Super Bowl and will be allowed to leave for the low-low price of a comp pick in the future. Now <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41303328/baltimore-ravens-two-loss-start-whats-gone-wrong-john-harbaugh">Baltimore is on a three-game winning streak</a> and looking like the only dominant team in the AFC North.</p><p>Baltimore is in the unfortunate position of having to play one of the NFL’s hottest teams in Week 6. The Washington Commanders are coming to town, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/commanders-news-jayden-daniels-draws-bold-lamar-jackson-mvp-take-from-emmanuel-acho">led by rookie QB Jayden Daniels</a>. Daniels is truly having a rookie season for the ages through five weeks. However, that all changed last week against the Bengals.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/bengals-news-joe-burrow-slaps-cincinnati-harsh-reality-collapse-ravens">Baltimore and Cincinnati got into a shootout in Week 5</a> and Lamar Jackson showed up big for his team. Jackson threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns while also adding 12 carries for 55 rushing yards.</p><p>The most encouraging part of this performance was that everyone on offense was involved, even players like Charlie Kolar, Tylan Wallace, and Rashod Bateman who do not always put up good numbers.</p><p>There is no reason to doubt that Lamar Jackson can ride that momentum into Week 6 against the Commanders. If the Commanders try to make this game into a track meet, Lamar is willing and able to keep up with Jayden Daniels.</p><p>My prediction: Lamar Jackson will throw for more passing yards and have more first downs gained (rushing + passing) than Jayden Daniels.</p><h2><b>Ravens lean on Derrick Henry, running game to pound Commanders defense</b></h2><p>The Ravens don’t always need to have a complicated game plan. Baltimore should be more than content to hand the ball off to Derrick Henry early and often against the Commanders.</p><p>It is no secret that <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-derrick-henry-gets-real-on-cowboys-doubting-that-he-could-still-play">Derrick Henry is a special talent at the running back position</a>. Henry inflicts damage on a defense that seems to stack up over time, exhausting his opponents with his bruising running style.</p><p>Henry is bad news for a Commanders defense that does feature some talent in its front seven, but not nearly enough to bottle up the league’s best runner. Washington will get a taste of its own medicine in Week 6, going up against an offense with a strong running game <i>and </i>a mobile QB.</p><p>The Commanders are in for a tough day on defense unless they can play a perfect game. I simply don’t see that happening.</p><p>My prediction: Derrick Henry will rumble for over 125 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown against the Commanders. In true Derrick Henry fashion, this will include one explosive run of at least 35 yards that breaks the back of the Commanders defense in a crucial part of the game.</p><h2><b>Baltimore’s defense forces multiple turnovers from rookie QB Jayden Daniels in close game</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Baltimore-Ravens-LB-Roquan-Smith.jpg"><figcaption>Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/commanders-news-jayden-daniels-jersey-boom-amid-historic-rookie-season">Jayden Daniels may be one of the most impressive rookies we’ve ever seen</a> through five weeks, but he is still a rookie.</p><p>The Ravens would be wise to come up with a game plan that focuses on confusing and harassing Daniels. This could be Baltimore’s best chance at winning this game. If the Ravens can force the Commanders to be inefficient in the passing game, that will limit their scoring potential.</p><p>Even if Washington decides to control the clock and keep the ball on the ground, that’s fine too. Baltimore is more than capable of putting up a solid run defense, especially against Washington’s personnel. They would also be more than happy to deploy the same strategy against the Commanders, bruising them with Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson for the entire afternoon.</p><p>So how can Baltimore make this happen?</p><p>The Ravens need to cook up an aggressive game plan that confuses Jayden Daniels with disguised coverages and pressures him with a ton of blitzes. Daniels may be able to weather the storm in some situations, but he is bound to make some crucial mistakes as well.</p><p>My prediction: I see the Ravens forcing Jayden Daniels into at least two turnovers, which should be the difference in this game.
