This is a huge move for the Dolphins, keeping the Nigerian Nightmare in town for the foreseeable future. Ogbah has spent the past two seasons in Miami and flourished within the defense. In his four seasons prior to joining the Dolphins, Ogbah had recorded a total of 18.0 sacks. He’s matched that tally over the past two seasons in Miami, improving significantly as a pass rusher.</p><p>Last season, Ogbah featured in 17 games for Miami, starting 11. He recorded a career-high 12 pass breakups, along with 41 tackles, 9.0 sacks, 24 QB hits, and 9 tackles for loss. The 28-year-old Lagos native will continue to wreak havoc in the trenches for the Dolphins for a few more seasons after putting pen to paper on his lucrative new deal, which will see him earn $16.25 million per season.</p><p>The former Cleveland Browns’ second-round pick has finally found his footing in the NFL since making the move to Miami, so it makes a ton of sense that he’d be eager to extend his stay at South Beach by re-upping with the team.
