That moved Indy to 7-1 on the season, increasing their lead in the AFC South and their hold on the top AFC seed. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-fans-want-jonathan-taylor-mvp-conversation-80-yard-touchdown">Colts running back Jonathan Taylor had three more touchdowns</a>, including an 80-yard scamper that had Michael Pittman Jr <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46740359/colts-taylor-adds-153-yards-3-more-tds-mvp-year" rel="noopener">losing his mind.</a></p><p>“We were all in disbelief,” Pittman told Stephen Holder of ESPN. “I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s a good 15-yard run.’ And then he breaks out, I’m like, ‘That’s a good 30-yard run.’ And then he’s running 80 yards. I’m like, ‘Oh s—!’ We’re all hyped for him, and we are really going to try our hardest to keep pushing him.”</p><p>The Colts went into halftime up 17-7, but the Titans got the ball first in the second half. Cam Ward had an opportunity to cut the lead to one possession and make this a game. He did not, giving the Colts the ball back on the 20-yard line. That is when Taylor struck, taking the first play of the drive all the way into the end zone.</p><p>This was the third consecutive game against the Titans in which Taylor scored three touchdowns. It was also the fourth game this season in which he scored three touchdowns, which includes the first matchup against Tennessee. The Colts’ offense has been dominant to start the season, and Taylor is a huge reason why.</p><p>The Colts’ schedule toughens up, as they hit the road for the Pittsburgh Steelers and head to Berlin to face the Atlanta Falcons. With a great running game, the pressure should remain off of Daniel Jones’ shoulders, which is a good thing. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-see-michael-pittman-jr-touchdown-catch-believe">Pittman scored a touchdown with 98 receiving yards</a>, while Josh Downs hit paydirt as well.</p><p>The Colts are the top team in the AFC heading into November, with the Steelers awaiting them.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-michael-pittman-jr-titans-didnt-want-to-play-today">Indianapolis Colts receiver has been up-and-down</a> in 2025, but made one of the best plays of the season with an absurd touchdown catch against the Tennessee Titans in Week 8.</p><p>As the Colts approached the end zone looking to build on their 10-7 lead, Daniel Jones set them up for a 1st-and-10 from the 21-yard line. Pittman secured the pass with just one arm to put the Colts up 17-7.</p><p>Whenever players make similar plays, they tend to haul in the catch with their unoccupied hand. That would have been impressive on its own, but Pittman used his right arm, which was locked up with Armour-Davis, to pin the ball against his chest.</p><p>The play only gets more impressive upon a closer view. The sixth-year wideout entered halftime with a team-leading six catches for 68 receiving yards and one phenomenal touchdown.</p><p>Pittman’s success was only part of the Colts’ big first half. Indianapolis tormented the Titans’ defense, accumulating 221 total yards in the first half.</p><p>Pittman’s 68 receiving yards were part of Jones’ 146-yard first half. Running back Jonathan Taylor also torched Tennessee on the ground, racking up 72 rushing yards and a touchdown on just eight carries before the break.</p><p>The Colts entered halftime with a 17-7 lead. Daniel Jones has worked out so far on offense. This offense has playmakers, and one of the biggest is Michael Pittman Jr. out wide. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-michael-pittman-jr-lands-on-injury-report-ahead-of-week-5" rel="noopener">Pittman injured his hamstring in practice this week</a> and had doubts about playing this week, but he should be good to go against the Raiders.</p><p>NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero broke the news that, despite appearing on the injury report mid-week, <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1974200613367107669" rel="noopener">he was a full participant in practice on Friday</a> and will suit up against the Raiders. This is massive news for a Colts offense that is filled with playmakers.</p><p>Pelissero posted on X: “Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. (hamstring) was a full participant in practice and is off the injury report. Good to go vs. Las Vegas.”</p><p>So far this season, Pittman has 21 receptions for 234 receiving yards and three touchdowns and is the second-leading receiver on the team. The only receiver with a higher receiving yardage is rookie tight end Tyler Warren from Penn State. He has averaged 11.1 yards per catch while helping lead the Colts to a 3-1 record. His production has provided quarterback Daniel Jones with a reliable target in red-zone situations.</p><p>Daniel Jones has emerged as a quality quarterback for the Colts all of a sudden. He has been the biggest difference-maker. He has thrown for 1,078 passing yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions with a 71.9% completion percentage. It would be massive for this offense for him to have one of their best receivers available against the Raiders and their stout defense.</p><p>It is worth noting that Alec Pierce, another of their top receivers, was ruled out on Friday <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-alec-pierce-in-concussion-protocol-coming-off-titans-win" rel="noopener">due to a concussion he suffered against the Titans</a> two weeks ago, which put more pressure on Pittman and Warren against the Raiders.</p><p>Another massive question surrounding the Colts’ wide receiving corps has been what Adonai Mitchell’s status will be. Mitchell had two huge mistakes that ultimately cost the Colts the game against the Rams. He fumbled a sure-fire touchdown that resulted in a touchback, and then he was called for holding on a Jonathan Taylor rushing touchdown, which also got called back.</p><p>The Colts need to bounce back against the Raiders, and with Pittman available, this offense will give them a much better chance.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

Still, Callahan responded to Pittman’s <a href="https://x.com/TDavenport_NFL/status/1970183846567256207" rel="noopener">controversial postgame comments</a> according to a post on X by Turron Davenport.</p><p>“When you win a game, and you win it the way they did, you can kind of say whatever you want,” Callahan said. “I think if you watch the way the team played, it certainly wasn’t the case, by any stretch. We played hard and we fought in that game. We didn’t play well enough to win it … but I don’t think that was an accurate depiction.”</p><p>The Titans fell to 0-3 as the Colts’ Jonathan Taylor ran for 102 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-20 beatdown.</p><h2><b>Titans, HC Brian Callahan must find a regrouping point</b></h2><p>Pittman took the Titans to task, rubbing <a href="https://x.com/itsgovertime/status/1969875682584121539?s=46&amp;t=PzubCAbCGFLj0KDaYNa_PQ" rel="noopener">salt in the wounds</a> with his comments, according to a post on X by Jeremy K. Gover</p><p>“Saw it on the pre-game intros. They kinda looked a little sluggish. They were kinda walking around, nobody was really bouncing. Right then and there, we all sat there and were like ‘They don’t want to play today.'” – #Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr on the 41-20 win over the #Titans”</p><p>Of course, Titans fans are up in arms with Callahan, who has just three wins in his first 20 games as an NFL head coach. And <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46339925/titans-coach-brian-callahan-not-fazed-fans-calling-firing" rel="noopener">the chanting began</a>, according to ESPN.</p><p>“Fans began to chant, “Fire Callahan,” as coach Brian Callahan and his team went into the locker room down 20-6 at halftime,” Davenport wrote. “It was impossible for Callahan not to hear the chants accompanied by boos as he approached the tunnel.”</p><p>However, Callahan said he’s <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46339925/titans-coach-brian-callahan-not-fazed-fans-calling-firing" rel="noopener">taking it in stride</a>.</p><p>“I don’t really worry about that to be honest,” Callahan said after the game. “My focus is on trying to make sure our football team is in as good a place as possible. And the rest of that stuff is what it is. I don’t think about those things, and you really can’t. I mean, this is hard enough as it is to put those other things and think about that. It doesn’t do anybody any good. So, I just go to work and work as hard as I can. I put as much effort as I can into this.
