He joined ClutchPoints in 2023.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Kansas City Chiefs</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-3-best-players-target-nfl-draft-first-round-pick">Kansas City Chiefs have already begun retooling</a> their roster after their shocking blowout <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-most-to-blame-for-blowout-super-bowl-59-loss-to-eagles">defeat in the Super Bowl</a> at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles exposed several weaknesses up and down the Chiefs’ roster, including most notably along the offensive line, which is an issue that Kansas City has already taken strides to address this offseason.</p><p>Recently, an anonymous NFL executive broke down the revelation the Chiefs had <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6194650/2025/04/02/nfl-free-agency-2025-afc-execs-best-worst/" rel="noopener">about their roster</a> in the aftermath of the Super Bowl collapse, per Mike Sando of The Athletic.</p><p>“They realize they are a defensive football team with a Hall of Fame quarterback (Patrick Mahomes),” the exec said, “and they are saying, ‘Pat, it is on you to elevate your skill players. We miscalculated on your protection, and it cost us a three-peat. Now, we are going to recalibrate up front.’”</p><p>Indeed, the Chiefs’ trademark high-flying offense has taken a major step back over the last couple of seasons, with Patrick Mahomes’ individual statistics plunging and the team relying more so on their defense to generate positive field position and turnovers.</p><h2><b>Can the Chiefs bounce back?</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Mahomes-vs-the-Eagles.jpg"><figcaption>Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Chiefs now find themselves in the unenviable position of trying to figure out how much of their blowout loss was legitimately due to poor roster construction that must be addressed, and how much was due to simply the players that were there performing well below their standards.</p><p>As with most things, the answer is probably somewhere in the middle.</p><p>Mahomes had the worst game of his future Hall of Fame career in the Super Bowl vs the Eagles, constantly finding himself under pressure from the vaunted Philadelphia defensive line and at one point throwing a pick six to rookie Cooper DeJean.</p><p>The Chiefs’ defense did an admirable job of containing Saquon Barkley but didn’t have much else to write home about, surrendering an epic game to quarterback Jalen Hurts.</p><p>Now, it seems that the Chiefs want to reconstruct their identity as an offensive juggernaut by giving Mahomes a better offensive line and premier skill positional talent. That approach has been evident so far this offseason and figures to continue into the upcoming draft.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

Jordan</a>, Steinfeld was asked to “anger the Bills Mafia by saying three nice things” about the Chiefs.</p><p>“I can find nice things to say about anybody, even if I don’t like them,” she said. “Yellow and red really compliment them all pretty well. They are very loud [in the stadium] — you want that in a fanbase. Third, they go hard.”</p><p>Complimenting the Chiefs was difficult for Steinfeld, given who her fiancé is. Allen has been the Bills quarterback since 2018, and he has a rivalry with the Chiefs.</p><p>In the regular season, Allen is 4-1 against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs since becoming the starter. He has won the last four encounters in the regular season against them.</p><p>However, in the postseason, Allen is 0-4. He has missed out on the Super Bowl twice after losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship two times. Their other two matchups were in the Divisional Round.</p><p>Josh Allen has been with his fiancée Hailee Steinfeld  since May 2023.  They were dating until November 2024, when Allen proposed to her. Now, they are probably busy wedding planning during the Bills’ offseason.</p><p>Currently, Steinfeld is promoting Ryan Coogler’s latest movie, Sinners. Coogler produced, wrote, and directed the period horror flick.</p><p>Jordan once again collaborates with Coogler. He stars in a dual role, playing twin brothers who return to their hometown, where they face a sinister evil.</p><p>Steinfeld is an actress whose career took off when she starred in True Grit in 2010. She also starred in Romeo &amp; Juliet and Ender’s Game before starring in Pitch Perfect 2.</p><p>She would reprise the role of Emily Junk in Pitch Perfect 3. The franchise helped her gain notoriety among a wider population. In 2018, she had roles in blockbusters like Bumblebee and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.</p><p>In the latter, Steinfeld voices Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman. She would return for the sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, five years later and will presumably be in Beyond the Spider-Verse.</p><p>Her other Marvel role is Kate Bishop/Hawkeye. She made her MCU debut in the 2021 Disney+ Hawkeye series. She would voice the character in What If? and Marvel Zombies as well.</p><p>Steinfeld has also appeared as Hawkeye in The Marvels, seemingly setting her up for a role in future Avengers movies. A fan brought the mural to their attention on their Reddit page. “I’ve never seen Jesus look like this,” Travis said.</p><p>“How did they do this? Somebody painted this in your image. Jason then explained himself, saying, “If you had long, wavy hair, this would be exactly what this picture would look like. So, you’re Jesus Christ?”</p><p>When asked if he would ever let his hair grow out like Jesus, Travis replied, “That’s like me if I was in the Bee Gees,” before breaking out into song.</p><p>That was not Travis’ only doppelgänger. A different fan pointed out how similar he looks to Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang. He is coming off his 10th Pro Bowl season, catching 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns.</p><p>It was far from his best season with the team. He is now two years removed from his stellar 2022 campaign, during which he logged over 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns.</p><p>In that time, the Chiefs have won two Super Bowls. They were attempting to win their third in a row in 2025, which would make them the first team in NFL history to three-peat.</p><p>Since Patrick Mahomes took over as the Chiefs’ quarterback, Kelce has won three Super Bowls. He has been a Pro Bowler in every season since 2015.</p><p>Throughout his entire career, Kelce has caught 1,004 passes for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns. The draft is now close enough that many mock drafts will now spice things up by including trades. ESPN’s latest 2025 NFL mock draft features one wild trade that involves two teams in the AFC West.</p><p>Field Yates of ESPN <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/44447028/2025-nfl-mock-draft-field-yates-two-rounds-64-picks-predictions" rel="noopener">included an interesting trade in his latest mock draft</a>. Yates has the Raiders and Chiefs agreeing to a bold trade offer that sees Kansas City move out of the first round.</p><p>In this mock, the Raiders trade their second-round pick (37th overall) and an early third-round pick (68th overall) to the Chiefs for the 31st overall pick and a late third-rounder (95th overall). Essentially, the Raiders move down roughly 30 spots in the middle rounds as the price to hop six spots up into the first round.</p><p>Las Vegas uses that first-round pick to select <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ncaa-football/missouri-football-news-luther-burden-iii-expected-nfl-draft-decision">Missouri WR Luther Burden III</a>.</p><p>“He was dominant in 2023, when he had 1,212 receiving yards, including 710 after the catch,” Yates wrote. “He had a modest 2024 (676 yards), but his explosiveness and power with the ball in his hands give him game-changing ability.”</p><p>Yates also had the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/las-vegas-raiders/raiders-news-gm-hilarious-ashton-jeanty-message-son-2025-nfl-draft">Raiders picking Ashton Jeanty</a> with their original first-round pick. The Raiders suddenly look a lot better on offense with Geno Smith handing the ball off to Ashton Jeanty and throwing to Luther Burden III, Jakobi Meyers, and Brock Bowers.</p><p>This trade looks great for the Raiders, but how about the Chiefs?</p><h2><b>Chiefs snag pair of trench players in second round of Field Yates’ 2025 NFL mock draft</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Josh-Simmons.jpg"><figcaption>© Jerome Miron-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Chiefs make out pretty well with this trade as well.</p><p>Kansas City uses the 37th overall pick on Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons.</p><p>Yates explains that the Chiefs get a discount on <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ncaa-football/ohio-state-football-news-top-tackle-prospect-josh-simmons-ahead-schedule-injury-recovery-nfl-draft">Simmons because he is coming off a torn patellar tendon</a>.</p><p>“Simmons is coming off a torn patellar tendon, which is the only reason he is even in this range,” Yates wrote. “If healthy, he would be long gone by the second round — and he still might go much sooner than this.”</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/kansas-city-chiefs-biggest-need-address-first-week-2025-nfl-free-agency">Chiefs signed Jaylon Moore in free agency</a>, which gives them the option to ease Simmons into the starting lineup slowly. The Chiefs also pick Arkansas edge rusher Landon Jackson with their original second-round pick.</p><p>Finally, Kansas City will enter the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft knowing they can pick roughly 30 spots higher thanks to their trade.</p><p>This trade does seem to work out for both teams on paper. No paparazzi, no pressure. Just mountains, good food, and close friends. It’s their happy place, intimate, chill, and very off-the-grid,” the source said per Yahoo Entertainment. “They were laughing all night. It was super relaxed. No bodyguards swarming, no glam squad — just friends having a great night out.”</p><p>It doesn’t stop at the house hunting either. Swift is looking forward to spending her life with Kelce in the near future.</p><p>“Taylor has her <a href="https://radaronline.com/p/taylor-swift-travis-kelce-house-hunting-secretly-engaged-kids/" rel="noopener">future planned out to a tee.</a> She wants to get married and start a family and now is the time. Privately, she’s hoping Kelce will retire, but she’ll support him through another year of football if that’s what he wants,” a RadarOnline source reported.</p><p>The RadarOnline report comes after Swift supported Kelce’s decision to return to the Kansas City Chiefs after their devastating 40-22 Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles last month.</p><p>They “definitely discussed [the decision] as a couple,” a source told Page Six about the couple who have been dating for a little over a year.</p><p>Swift wanted Kelce to keep playing the insider says: “She didn’t want Travis to retire. The Chiefs have already done some work to patch up their offensive line, which was decimated by the Eagles’ defense, but there are still improvements to be made up and down the roster in Kansas City.</p><p>Recently, NFL insider Chad Reuter of NFL.com proposed a <a href="https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-six-win-win-first-round-trades-teams-should-make" rel="noopener">shocking draft trade</a> that would net the Chiefs the Baltimore Ravens’ 27th overall pick in the first round, as well as their fourth round pick, in exchange for the Chiefs’ own 31st overall pick as well as their third round selection.</p><p>With this slightly higher first round position, the Chiefs would “increase their chances of landing defensive tackle Walter Nolen, to play beside All-Pro Chris Jones, or an offensive linemen, such as Tyler Booker, Aireontae Ersery, Jonah Savaiinaea or Grey Zabel,” reported Reuter.</p><h2><b>An interesting proposal</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Mahomes-leaves-the-field.jpg"><figcaption>Bill Streicher-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>It isn’t often to see two teams in the same conference, both of whom fancy themselves Super Bowl contenders, doing business with one another. However, that’s exactly what would go down in this proposed trade between the Chiefs and Ravens, two teams who met in the 2023-24 AFC Championship Game, which Kansas City won in narrow fashion.</p><p>Indeed, both sides of the line looked absolutely listless for the Chiefs during their demolition at the hands of the Eagles. They pick late but <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-rumors-georgia-s">could have a standout player</a> fall their way. However, here are the three best players the Chiefs should target with their 2025 NFL Draft first-round pick.</p><p>As usual, the Chiefs entered the offseason with one of the league’s strongest rosters. But to get where the Chiefs always want to go, they will need to make a few good picks in the draft.</p><p>Kansas City enters the draft with plenty of needs. At the top of the list are defensive tackle, guard, and edge rusher. They will also see an offensive tackle and a safety. That gives them a wide range of options for pick No. 31.</p><h2><b>Chiefs should target safety Nick Emmanwori in Round 1</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/South-Carolina-safety-Nick-Emmanwori.jpg"><figcaption>Kirby Lee-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>There’s no doubt the Chiefs need help on the offensive line. The brutal beating at the hands of the Eagles in the Super Bowl proved it. But the Chiefs cannot pass on a talent like Emmanwori.</p><p>The South Carolina product <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/44082254/2025-nfl-combine-draft-risers-mel-kiper-prospects-top-workouts" rel="noopener">lit up the eyes</a> of NFL observers at the Combine, including Mel Kiper Jr., according to espn.com.</p><p>“Everyone was talking about Emmanwori as a potential combine standout,” Kiper wrote. “He lived up to the hype in a big way. His 43-inch vertical and 11-foot, 6-inch broad jump ranked No. 1 among all players. His 4.38-second time in the 40 ranked second among safeties (though his 1.49-second 10-yard split was first). It was pure domination, and his outstanding explosion was on full display.</p><p>“Toss in really good production in college (four picks in 2024), and he might end up being the first safety off the board. I had Georgia’s Malaki Starks (who ran a solid 4.50) over him at No. 14 to the Colts in the mock draft. Emmanwori was No. 27 to the Ravens. Those two might flip spots after this week.”</p><p>Obviously, if Kiper is correct about where Emmanwori will go, the Chiefs won’t get a chance. But Kiper has a history of being way off base on which team picks which player. And ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum’s GM-based picks would leave the door open for the Chiefs to get Emmanwori.</p><h2>Offensive tackle is another position Chiefs could consider</h2><p>There seems to be a divide here on which way would be best for the Chiefs go to. Should they grab Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.? Or is Alabama guard Tyler Booker the best choice?</p><p>Banks received a grade of 6.43, according to nfl.com. That’s in the “will <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/kelvin-banks-jr./32004241-4e67-3432-7372-ee2dfd2cbf64" rel="noopener">become a good starter</a> within two years” range. He’s 6-foot-5 and weighs 315 pounds.</p><p>“Banks will come into the league as an early starter, but his run blocking is more pro-ready than his pass protection,” Lance Zierlein wrote. “He’s technically sound and scrappy in the ground game, with the quickness and athleticism to get to all move blocks. He has the leverage and strain to hold his own at the point.</p><p>“Banks has the slide quickness to deal with speed, but he must become more proactive in attacking power rushers and long-limbed attackers to prevent them from dictating the terms. He needs to improve his anchor and hand placement but he should become a long-time NFL starter at either tackle or guard.”</p><p>That sounds pretty good. What about Booker? he received a slightly lower rating of 6.38. One good thing for Booker (6-4, 321 pounds) is his array of elite physical traits. Sometimes that matters in the NFL, but just looking the part doesn’t always make the best pick.</p><p>So, we will stick with Banks for the second player the Chiefs should target.</p><h2><b>Defensive line is another position of interest</b></h2><p>There are two directions here as well. If the Chiefs can get their hands on Mississippi’s Walter Nolen, that’s the pick. He then made the game-winning layup with seven ticks remaining on the clock in OT.</p><p>Arkansas had chances to clinch victory after both of Williams’ baskets, but the Red Raiders’ defense stayed strong. Do they <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/perfect-trade-kansas-city-chiefs-complete-2025-nfl-free-agency-frenzy">still need to make a trade</a>? Well, here are some possible answers in the Chiefs’ <a href="https://www.pff.com/draft/nfl-mock-draft-simulator?ref=7d52db06-0796-4188-ba70-07f8131c1563&amp;complete=7&amp;draft_grade=A&amp;multi=false" rel="noopener">seven-round 2025</a> NFL mock draft, according to the Pro Football Focus simulator.</p><p>Kansas City fell short of a three-peat, getting hammered by the Eagles in the Super Bowl. But they still have a good team and a strong roster. So there’s plenty of optimism for the 2025 season.</p><p>The Chiefs entered the draft needing help at guard, offensive tackle, and the defensive line. But what did the simulator choose right off the bat?</p><h2><b>Chiefs get WR Luther Burden III in Round 1</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Missouri-WR-Luther-Burden-III.jpg"><figcaption>Denny Medley-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>It would be difficult to pass up a weapon for Patrick Mahomes. And if the Missouri product remains on the board on the real draft day, don’t expect the Chiefs to pass it by.</p><p>Burden is 6-foot and 206 pounds. He has gone much higher than this in other mock drafts. Burden rates right <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/luther-burden-iii/32004255-5203-5840-2355-001d8c81311e" rel="noopener">on the fringe</a> of boom-of-bust potential, according to nfl.com.</p><p>“Former five-star recruit who offers five-star athleticism and playmaking ability,” Lance Zierlein wrote. “Burden is a natural on the field with above-average speed and exciting ball skills to win at a high rate. He takes snaps off and short-circuits routes if he’s not the primary option, but he can separate and succeed on all three levels when it’s his time.</p><p>“Missouri exploited Burden’s yards-after-catch talent with a barrage of short throws, but NFL teams are much more likely to diversify his usage, activating his complete skill set and big-play potential. The production against top teams was uneven at times but so was Missouri’s quarterback play. Burden checks several priority boxes that typically foreshadow an impressive NFL career.”</p><p>This pick would be a great help for the Chiefs’ offense, but it bypassed needs on the offensive and defensive lines. Mahomes showed how difficult his life can be as quarterback when the Chiefs don’t give him time to operate. The Eagles exploited the Chiefs’ weakness in the Super Bowl.</p><p>Burden might give the Chiefs a boost by getting open quickly, making things a little less stressful for the offensive line. But still it’s hard to envision the Chiefs getting offensively greedy at the skill positions after what happened in the Super Bowl.</p><h2><b>Chiefs get a tight end in Round 2</b></h2><p>This would be a risky pick as Miami’s Elijah Arroyo has a serious level <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/elijah-arroyo/32004152-5262-9685-50ee-580fc8b42629" rel="noopener">of injury history</a>, according to nfl.com.</p><p>“Arroyo enters the evaluation process with questions to answer after a knee injury took chunks of two seasons from him,” Lance Zierlein wrote. “He displayed a willingness as both a point-of-attack and move blocker, but his technique and play strength will need upgrading. He’s an average athlete who struggles to beat man coverage but appeared to get faster and more fluid as the 2024 season wore on.</p><p>“(Arroyo) plays with awareness in space and secures throws with sure hands in traffic. Arroyo is a move tight end whose medical and athletic testing need to check out to give him a legitimate shot at being a productive pro.”</p><p>This doesn’t seem like the greatest Round 2 pick. More exciting and healthier players remained on the board. In particular, the Chiefs could have Omarr Norman-Lott out of Tennessee. That would be a nice grab at this point in the draft. And it would have filled a more pressing need.</p><p>And this is where the simulator failed, especially when paired with the Round 3 picks.</p><h2><b>Chiefs get odd early third-round pick</b></h2><p>With Norman-Lott still on the draft board, the Chiefs took an edge rusher. The good news is Kyle Kennard of South Carolina <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/kyle-kennard/32004b45-4e28-2395-2871-ce6e588d7f2c" rel="noopener">has good potential</a>. He’s 6-4, 254 pounds, and could develop into an NFL starter.</p><p>“Kennard keeps his long frame clean with well-timed punches and has plus range as a playmaker,” Zierlein wrote. “He can be slippery when he finds edges in either phase. He is frequently knocked off-balance at contact points, though.</p><p>“(Kennard) will create pressure with his get-off and length alone but needs less predictable rush patterns and more hand skill to beat NFL tackles. He fits as a wide nine-technique, where he can avoid early contact and create rush momentum. He profiles as a Day 2 pick, but the tape creates enough concerns to lower the floor for his projection.”</p><p>Purdue tackle Marcus Mbow remained on the board. That would have filled a need, like Norman-Lott.</p><p>With their second pick in Round 3, the Chiefs got a tackle. They swooped up North Carolina State’s Anthony Belton, who projects as an eventual starter in the league.</p><h2><b>Another tackle falls in Round 4</b></h2><p>The Chiefs go back to the tackle well, getting Connecticut’s Chase Lundt. At 6-7 and 304 pounds, Lundt has the right size. He <a href="https://www.nfl.com/prospects/chase-lundt/32004c55-4e45-7924-4335-9a5c6ee17e2e" rel="noopener">could develop into</a> a Patrick Mahomes protector.</p><p>“Lundt is strong in his core and hands,” Zierlein wrote. “He does a nice job balancing through contact and using good hand placement to secure his run blocks. (Lundt) has the tools to play hat-on-hat or as a move blocker in the run game due to technique and adequate flexion, but he might need to add more bulk.</p><p>“Lundt might not be a physical match to handle rushers with the speed, power, and counters he will see as an NFL tackle in pass protection. He projects as an average swing tackle but a move to guard could create an easier pathway to become a solid NFL starter.”</p><h2><b>Round 7 brings in three fringe players</b></h2><p>The Chiefs grabbed a guard, taking North Carolina State’s Timothy McKay. They finished up their draft with edge Johnny Walker Jr. (Missouri) and made a Mr. Irrelevant out of Montana State guard Marcus Wehr.</p><p>Overall, the Chiefs hit a few high notes. The Chiefs have already made some key free agent signings to help bolster their offensive line and other areas of need, and now their attention is on the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-perfect-2025-nfl-draft-fit">upcoming NFL Draft.</a></p><p>Recently, NFL insider Matt Miller of ESPN released a mock draft and had the Chiefs thinking defense <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/44392562/mock-2025-nfl-draft-seven-rounds-257-picks-matt-miller" rel="noopener">with their selection</a> at the end of the first round, projecting them to take edge rusher Mykel Williams out of Georgia.</p><p>“Williams has moments of greatness — he combined for four sacks in two games against Texas in 2024 — but also tends to disappear. He was slowed this season by an ankle injury, yet he showed toughness and glimpses of his ceiling,” wrote Miller.</p><p>Miller also speculated on how Williams might fit in alongside the stalwarts of the Chiefs’ defense as presently constructed.</p><p>“Working alongside Chris Jones and George Karlaftis would give Williams one-on-one matchups with offensive linemen as he develops his game,” wrote Miller. “His rare physical tools could make him a special 4-3 defensive end — if he puts everything together. Williams’ pass rush is based mostly on physical ability and lacks technique, but the Chiefs have a good track record of developing defensive talent.”</p><h2><b>A big draft for the Chiefs</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Mahomes-after-the-Super-Bowl.jpg"><figcaption>Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>Perhaps no franchise’s vibes have taken a more complete 180 in such a short amount of time than the Chiefs’ did at the end of the 2024-25 season. Entering the Super Bowl, Kansas City had a feeling of inevitability as they looked to close in on their third repeat. Almost two months later, fans are still sifting through the rubble, trying to figure out how on Earth the squad looked so listless against the Eagles.</p><p>While the offensive line was the major issue in that game, the Chiefs’ defensive line also wasn’t anything to write home about, and Williams could certainly be a major building block for that unit going forward.</p><p>The NFL Draft is slated to get underway in late April from Green Bay.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
