A month prior they had their first public outing when they <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/celebrity/stefon-diggs-cardi-b-romance-rumors-celtics-knicks-game-4" rel="noopener">sat courtside for Game 4 of the Knicks-Celtics NBA playoff series at Madison Square Garden on May 11.</a></p><p>Cardi’s comment also follows pregnancy rumors which <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1421929/cardi-b-on-pregnancy-rumors-with-offset-stefon-diggs" rel="noopener">she has denied. </a></p><h2>How is Cardi B’s relationship with Offset after the divorce filing?</h2><p>Cardi and Offset have been open about how their relationship has seen the end of the road.</p><p>“It’s about moving on peacefully,” Offset told the Associated Press on Aug. 16 about his track ‘Moving On.’ “That’s what the message is supposed to be.”</p><p>“Moving On” is featured on Offset’s latest project, Kiari, which was released on Aug. 22.</p><p>“It’s all love and peace,” he added before referencing his former marriage with Cardi B. “I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”</p><p>“It was great while it lasted,” he continued. “That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”</p><p>Cardi has also subtly spoken about her past relationship with Offset and the affect it had on her mental health.</p><p>“I don’t think people <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E22rhqjK5Nc" rel="noopener">understand how tired I was.</a> How tired, how mentally drained I was,” she told her fans on X in June. “Drained, drained, drained. Couldn’t eat. I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind.”</p><p>Cardi has entered a new chapter with her relationship with Diggs and while the NFL season just began but fans are wondering if Cardi will make an appearance to support Diggs. The Patriots opened their season on Sunday with a 20-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.</p><p>The rapper missing out on the Patriots season opener is most likely due to being only two weeks away from her album release. New England is getting a big injury update on new wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Diggs tore his ACL during the 2024 season, but is on the mend.</p><p>Vrabel revealed that he expects Diggs to be <a href="https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/mike-vrabel-expects-stefon-diggs-to-play-in-week-1" rel="noopener">good to go</a> for the start of the 2025 season.</p><p>“As of today, he’ll be out there,” Vrabel said about Diggs’ availability for Week 1, per WEEI and ESPN.</p><p>That’s good news for Patriots fans. Diggs is expected to get a lot of targets this season in the passing offense. He has made explosive plays throughout his career, playing for the Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.</p><p>Diggs closed out the 2024 season with 496 receiving yards, before he got hurt. He caught three touchdown passes for Houston.</p><h2><b>Patriots hope for a successful 2025 campaign</b></h2><p>New England hasn’t had a winning season in quite a while. The team parted ways with Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick following a disappointing 2023 campaign. Then in 2024, coach Jerod Mayo went just 4-13 and got fired.</p><p>Vrabel brings a lot of expectations with him. He had success when he was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, leading that team to the playoffs. The coach also spent several memorable seasons playing for the Patriots, as a linebacker.</p><p>Vrabel has worked closely this offseason with the team’s offense, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/patriots-news-stefon-diggs-integrated-more-drake-maye-break-out">including young quarterback Drake Maye</a>. Maye will be throwing passes to Diggs this season. Diggs hasn’t been able to compete in preseason games, due to his prior injury. He has completed some on-field practice activities.</p><p>Diggs has 10,491 career receiving yards, on 857 receptions. He also has posted 70 touchdowns. Diggs finished the 2020 campaign as the NFL’s receiving yards leader and receptions leader. The couple got married in 2017 and then Cardi filed for divorce for the first time in 2020, but later dismissed it. She filed for the second time in 2024.</p><p>Offset mentions Cardi again on the album’s last track, “Move On,” which Offset explains his perspective on the split.</p><p>“I’m tryna move on in peace, “I’ma tryna move on/Happy for you, why you aint happy for me?” he raps in the chorus of the song.</p><p>“I’ll take the blame, OK/I’ll take the shame, OK/Not playing ya games today/We look like some fools/You got yo get back so I had to get back/It’s 50 to 2,” he raps as he accuses Cardi of cheating on him as well.</p><p>“F–k the time that we had, it’s erased,” Offset continues on the track, marking the finality of their relationship.</p><p>He then shares that Cardi’s lack of cooking was a reason why he was frustrated during the relationship. “You never cooked n—-s no food,” he adds. “You just want to go out to Nobu/Telling me s–t that you don’t do/Telling me s–t that you won’t do/You f—-d around with the wrong dude/Hope yo next n—a will be great.”</p><figure class="op-interactive"></figure><h2>Did Offset previously say “Move On” will be about Cardi B?</h2><p>Prior to dropping the new album, Offset shared a sneak peak into what his closing track would entail.</p><p>“It’s about moving on peacefully,” Offset told the Associated Press in an interview published Aug. 16. “That’s what the message is supposed to be.”</p><p>“It’s all love and peace,” he added before referencing his former marriage with Cardi B. “I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”</p><p>“It was great while it lasted,” he continued. “That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. The good news is, it sounds like Stefon Diggs is consistently building chemistry with Maye.</p><p>Reports indicate that Diggs, who is 31 years old, is <a href="https://www.nbcsportsboston.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/stock-watch-stefon-diggs-christian-barmore/726737/" rel="noopener">getting more involved</a> with the quarterbacks in practice, according to Insider Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. As Stefon Diggs works his way back from a knee injury, he aims to play a vital role in the Patriots’ offense in the 2025-26 campaign.</p><p>“In two joint practices in Minnesota, with Maye dropping back to pass 48 times in 11-on-11 periods, Diggs was targeted just three times. On Tuesday, though, he was targeted the same number of times by Maye in 26 dropbacks.</p><p>“He was more involved, catching a pair of passes in the short-to-intermediate area, and being targeted deep down the field on an incompletion when he couldn’t shake Carlton Davis. Diggs also made a catch on a deeper crossing route from backup Joshua Dobbs. Perhaps, with the season more than two weeks away, Diggs is ready to ramp things up.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/patriots-news-mike-vrabel-gets-feisty-reporter-amid-stefon-diggs-question">Stefon Diggs is in line</a> to be the No. 1 pass option for the 22-year-old quarterback. The album is titled after the rapper’s legal name, Kiari Cephus, and the Atlanta-bred rapper recently shared the<a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KFnDt3ytm18" rel="noopener"> inspiration</a> behind the closing track, “Move On.”</p><p>“It’s about moving on peacefully,” Offset told the Associated Press in an interview published Aug. 16. “That’s what the message is supposed to be.”</p><p>“It’s all love and peace,” he added before referencing his former marriage with Cardi B. “I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”</p><p>“It was great while it lasted,” he continued. “That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”</p><p>This follows Offset taking accountability for messing up in his relationship with Cardi. The couple got married in 2017, and Cardi filed for divorce for the second time last year. She first filed for divorce from the rapper in 2020 but later dropped it.</p><p>“<a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNVg0UFtWwK/" rel="noopener">I f—ed up…</a> I gotta acknowledge that and then get back on the journey,” the Migos rapper said in a conversation with Ebro. “I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen.”</p><p>In an interview with Joe Budden’s podcast, he said that he doesn’t want to trash Cardi on the album.</p><figure class="op-interactive"></figure><p>“It’s therapy. I ain’t doing that on the album. The shots, I ain’t doing that,” he claimed on Joe Budden’s podcast. “I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That s—t gonna be lame 10 years from now. In June, Cardi posted her first photo of the New England Patriots star from when they spent time together on a yacht in Miami. The photo is no longer on her Instagram profile but the two have <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/celebrity/cardi-b-claps-back-stefon-diggs-dumping-bbl-smell" rel="noopener">both responded to breakup rumors. </a></p><p>Cardi has also subtly spoken about her past relationship with Offset and the affect it had on her mental health.</p><p>“I don’t think people <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E22rhqjK5Nc" rel="noopener">understand how tired I was.</a> How tired, how mentally drained I was,” she told her fans on X in June. “Drained, drained, drained. Couldn’t eat. I was getting frequent headaches. But questions still remain about his Week 1 status after <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/houston-texans/texans-news-stefon-diggs-injury-diagnosis-ends-2024-season">last year’s season-ending knee injury</a>.</p><p>The Athletic’s Dianna Russini asked Diggs whether or not <a href="https://x.com/DMRussini/status/1955824471115194754" rel="noopener">he would be ready for Week 1</a> during a recent interview.</p><p>“We’ll see,” Diggs replied. “Everybody is excited man. I’m just, like, taking it day by day.”</p><p>Russini teased Diggs, saying that she’d heard he’s more focused on performing than being smart with his rehab. Diggs agreed and then explained his perspective.</p><p>“I feel great. I mean, I’m pushing the needle always,” Diggs added. “I’m always on doing more than less. And you know we’ll see about Week 1. I don’t know how I feel about it. We’ll see. Coaches aren’t too excited about it. I’m not too excited, I’m just trying to take it day by day so we’ll see.”</p><p>It is hard to tell whether Diggs’ vague answer means he definitely won’t suit up in Week 1. This is solid advice for a rookie who is just learning the ropes of the NFL.</p><p>Williams is already showing his promise in the preseason.</p><p>“[Williams] was backside 1-on-1 with Gonzo. He made a big-time catch, strong hands. He’s coming along, he’s looking good,” Drake Maye said after one training camp practice in July. “I told Gonzo, I’m going to come at Gonzo. I’m not going to leave [Gonzalez] out here bored at practice, so good for a rookie to make a play like that. Leading up to the NFL season, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/patriots-biggest-reason-panic-start-2025-nfl-training-camp">head coach Mike Vrabel</a> admits he has yet to meet Cardi B. However, he seems excited about the opportunity after cracking a joke about going out on a double date with Diggs and the Grammy Award winner.</p><p>During a guest appearance on the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast, the 49-year-old head coach <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG4tpJ7KRZo" rel="noopener">cracked the joke</a> after being asked if he’s excited to meet Cardi B. Mike Vrabel follows his joke up by claiming that he tries to meet everyone’s significant other on the team.</p><p>“I don’t know, I haven’t seen her yet, I haven’t,” said Mike Vrabel. “I’m sure we’ll double date. I’m sure we’ll double date, though. We’ll see, I don’t know.”</p><figure class="op-interactive"></figure><p>Former Tennessee Titan turned podcaster Taylor Lewan also asked Vrabel if he’s excited to have Cardi B sort of be in that Taylor Swift role for the Kansas City Chiefs. But the Patriots’ head coach didn’t seem to have an opinion about that topic.</p><p>Mike Vrabel’s joke comes just months after <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/patriots-news-new-england-makes-final-decision-stefon-diggs-video-incident">Stefon Diggs caused controversy</a> on social media after he was spotted handing a bag filled with an unknown pink substance to several women on a boat. Based on the fact that Vrabel is cracking jokes about going on a double date with Diggs and Cardi B suggests that the situation is well behind them and the Patriots’ organization is moving forward.</p><p>Vrabel joins the Patriots as head coach after serving the same role for the Titans for five seasons. He spent a one-year hiatus with the Cleveland Browns as a consultant before accepting the head coaching role in New England. We’ll see Mike Vrabel and the club in action on September 7 when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in the season opener.
