In 2025, that storm seemingly hit the Miami Dolphins, with the general manager Chris Grier confirming they would be <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/dolphins-news-miami-explore-jalen-ramsey-trade-options">seeking a trade for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey</a>.</p><p>Early Tuesday morning, it was reported that the team had mutually agreed with Ramsey to seek a trade from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport. Speaking at his pre-draft presser, Grier <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtpKSX6T1FI" rel="noopener">confirmed the reports</a>, saying he and the rest of the front office came to the conclusion after “weeks of discussions.” Grier made a point to note that Ramsey did not request a trade, but the decision was imminent.</p><p>“After a couple weeks of discussions between ourselves internally and Jalen Ramsey, we’ve decided it was probably in the best interest of all parties to move forward,” Grier said. “These decisions aren’t done quickly, and they’re not taken lightly. At the end of the day, Jalen did not ask for a trade… We just felt that, after numerous conversations and talking last week, [a trade] was in the best interest of the Miami Dolphins and Jalen Ramsey.”</p><p>Following an injury-shortened year in 2023, Ramsey is coming off just the second 17-game season of his career. The 30-year-old recorded 60 tackles, 11 pass breakups, two interceptions and one sack on the year while receiving a stellar <a href="https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jalen-ramsey/10639" rel="noopener">76.9 player grade</a> from Pro Football Focus. Following reports of the team agreeing to part ways with Jalen Ramsey, general manager Chris Grier admitted he is also open to trading star wideout Tyreek Hill.</p><p>While speaking about the future of the team, Grier said he is “not pursuing” a Hill trade but would not be opposed if the right offer came to him. The Dolphins general manager <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1912191435635658999" rel="noopener">loosely stated</a> his asking price was in the ballpark of two first-round picks, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.</p><p>“That’s not anything that we’re pursuing,” Grier said, via Pelissero. “Who knows? If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we’ll consider it.”</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/dolphins-news-tyreek-hill-drops-ominous-message-miami-future-after-missing-playoffs">Hill infamously demanded a trade</a> at the end of the 2024 season after the Dolphins were eliminated from the playoffs. In a frustrated rant, the five-time All-Pro firmly stated he was “out” on the team before storming off on reporters in the locker room.</p><p>However, in the following weeks, Hill recanted his statement, saying he made it in the heat of the moment. Police responded to the Hill household due to a call from Vaccaro’s mother after the couple engaged in another heated argument. Vaccaro filed for divorce the day after the incident.</p><p>Since arriving in Miami, Hill has been involved in one public incident after the other. Most notably, he was the defendant in multiple paternity lawsuits around the time of his marriage to Vaccaro and was pulled over and detained by police just hours before the Dolphins’ 2024 Week 1 game.</p><p>In terms of his on-field performance, Hill is coming off a slight regression in 2024. In another injury-riddled season for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the speedy receiver managed just 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Miami is trying to do everything it can to upgrade the roster around Tua Tagovailoa. Unfortunately, they have <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/dolphins-news-terron-armstead-makes-final-decision-retirement-after-12-seasons">lost some of their established stars like Terron Armstead</a> and Jevon Holland this offseason. Miami appear to be <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/dolphins-news-miami-explore-jalen-ramsey-trade-options">exploring options to trade away another one of their defensive stars</a>.</p><p>The Dolphins are reportedly exploring the possibility of trading star cornerback Jalen Ramsey ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.</p><p>“The Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and Tom Pelissero,” Rapoport posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday. “Miami and Ramsey, due $25.1M fully guaranteed this season, could be parting ways.”</p><p>This news about Miami exploring a Ramsey trade makes one recent ESPN NFL <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/44601805/2025-nfl-mock-draft-three-rounds-kiper-yates-predictions-102-picks-trades-qbs" rel="noopener">mock draft looks even more right</a>.</p><p>ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Field Yates released a three-round 2025 NFL mock draft on Tuesday. The mock, which seems to have been created before the Ramsey news went public, has the Dolphins selecting a CB in the first round.</p><p>Kiper and Yates paired the Dolphins with <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/ncaa-football/michigan-football-news-will-johnson-leapfrogs-mason-graham-as-top-prospect">Michigan CB Will Johnson</a>.</p><p>“Johnson is one of the 10 best players in this class, as his excellent ball skills, instincts and 6-foot-2 size all stand out,” Yates wrote. “The Dolphins have a hole opposite Jalen Ramsey, making cornerback a pressing need. And yes, Miami must also address the offensive line, but it can do so on Day two.”</p><p>Will Johnson is one of the top CB prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.</p><p>Johnson would fill a huge position of need for the Dolphins, so it is hard to argue with this pick. That said, the CB position is one of the weaker groups in this year’s draft class. That price appears to have quickly become too rich for the Dolphins, as they are looking to move on from the veteran cornerback, with Ramsey himself also being <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1912099903091720285" rel="noopener">open to a potential trade</a>.</p><p>“The Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and Tom Pelissero,” Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported in a post on X. “Miami and Ramsey, due $25.1M fully guaranteed this season, could be parting ways.”</p><p>“The Dolphins paid $4M in a roster bonus already, so of the $25.1M fully guaranteed for 2025, a new team would only pick up $21.1M. When Adams asked if Hill would stay with the team after everything, Armstead leaned the direction that he would be on the roster and called the aforementioned outburst a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr-b1Mr1Dkw&amp;t=16s" rel="noopener">“very bad situation.”</a></p><p>“I believe he sticks in Miami,” Armstead said. “I’m sure he started that process and started to put the work in to earn the trust and rebuild the trust of his teammates, the organization, and the city as well. Very bad situation at the end of the season, it was. Tyreek knew that immediately, we talked on the bus right after the game. I was completely honest with him, brutally honest with him, can’t happen from a leader.”</p><p>“From someone that’s a figure in this league, it can’t happen, it shouldn’t exist,” Armstead continued. “We shouldn’t even be having this conversation. The work that he needs to do to mend those fences. While Adams and Armstead didn’t talk about the recent news involving Hill, the show host would ask the retired star if it’s a “good idea” for the team if he stays with them.</p><p>“It’s not for me to say. That’s between Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins,” Armstead said. “He’s an incredible player, he’s an incredible talent, and person too, I love the guy to death, he’s my brother. But it’s not for me to come up here and campaign for him. The broadcaster claimed the city’s lack of successful sports teams over the past decade caused fans and media to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PFX8MkRh0s" rel="noopener">overlook any off-the-field issues</a> so long as it helped keep the Dolphins exciting.</p><p>“He had problems on the Chiefs, too; we laundered him,” Le Batard said on ‘The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.’ “Come on, man. Come on! Miami did some laundering here. We know what this is. It’s fast, we like it, it makes us feel good. We’ll snort it. With a few options to go with in the first round, many see the team in play for former LSU star left tackle Will Campbell.</p><p>The primary reason behind the Dolphins’ potential interest in Campbell is the recent retirement of former All-Pro Terron Armstead. Although the team currently expects 2024 second-round pick Patrick Paul to take over at left tackle, Campbell <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/insider/story/_/id/44592479/2025-nfl-draft-latest-buzz-rumors-news-answering-questions-all-32-teams-picks" rel="noopener">would be “ideal”</a> for Miami if he fell to them at No. 13, according to a recent ESPN article.</p><p>“The Dolphins have operated since January as if Armstead won’t return, and even Armstead expressed confidence in [Patrick Paul’s] readiness,” the article read. “I’m still not sleeping on Miami taking an offensive lineman with its first pick, even with Paul in the fold. Tackle/guard Will Campbell would be an ideal selection if he unexpectedly fell to this spot.”</p><p>Campbell initially entered the draft as the consensus top offensive lineman of the class. However, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/lsu-football-news-will-campbell-shoots-down-concerns-arm-length-2025-combine">pre-draft measurements raised red flags</a> regarding his short arm length, causing split opinions on whether or not his physical measurements should be a factor.</p><p>As the April 24 draft quickly approaches, Campbell is still expected to be a top-10 pick and the first lineman off the board. Armstead was not the Dolphins’ only offseason loss, as they also suffered the forfeiture of Jevon Holland, Calais Campbell, Anthony Walker Jr., Raheem Mostert and Robert Jones. Holland, who shockingly, signed a three-year, $45.3 million deal with the New York Giants, was easily the team’s most crushing departure.</p><p>While safety is the team’s biggest need, Hunt’s departure also opened a void at guard that could cause the team to potentially target another lineman other than Campbell. Keeta Hill, who has been married to the NFL star since 2023, has decided to end their marriage.</p><p>The incident occurred on Monday (April 7) when police were called to the Hills’ condominium, according to a police report obtained by Local 10 News. Alesia Vaccaro, Keeta’s mother, is the one who called authorities after fearing for her daughter’s safety. According to the report, she described the wide receiver as “very aggressive and impulsive” and throwing a laptop on the floor. Keeta reiterated her mother’s observation in the police report, saying, “he becomes angry and throws objects around.”</p><p>A video obtained by the local news outlet shows the NFL star holding his five-month-old daughter as he walked onto their balcony which sits on the 35th floor of the condominium. The athlete is seen continuing to argue with Keeta as he holds their daughter.</p><p>Tyreek admitted to holding his daughter but told police, “I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want,” the report stated. He told officers that the argument took place after he was returning from training camp, and they were discussing therapy when the argument escalated.</p><p>The argument was allegedly over therapy and Keeta claims that it has not been “working out.”</p><p>Police noticed a bruise on Keeta’s chest but they told the officers that it was not intentional and that it occured when the NFL star took the baby from her. The baby was also unharmed in the incident officers noted.</p><p>Tyreek was not arrested and left the condo after the incident. Keeta did not want to make a written statement occording to police.</p><p>The report revealed that Keeta is “in the process of filing for a divorce.” The New York Post confirmed that<br>she filed for a dissolution of marriage with children on Tuesday (April 8) in Miami-Dade County Family Court.</p><p>The Dolphins spoke out about the incident in a statement.</p><p>“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed,” the Dolphins said. “We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”</p><p>Authorities responded to  a similar call between Tyreek and Keeta in 2024. Their statement arrived at least an hour after the WPLG 10 News report.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/tyreek-hill-involved-in-domestic-dispute-with-wife-in-sunny-isles-beach">Hill and his wife reportedly had a heated moment</a> inside a condominium at Sunny Isles Beach. The South Florida television news outlet reported Hill smashed a laptop and tried leaving the premises with the couple’s daughter before police arrived.</p><p>Now, the franchise <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1910082684145279235" rel="noopener">released a statement on the matter</a> per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.</p><p>“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed,” the statement reads. “We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”</p><p>Police merely investigated the domestic dispute. No arrests were made, per the report. The news outlet received the incident report two days later.</p><p>The report states Hill grew “very aggressive and impulsive” toward his wife, Keeta Hill. The mother of the receiver’s daughter also grew concerned for the child’s safety, the report adds. Keeta Hill’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, also was on sight at the time of the altercation.</p><p>Vacarro told police Hill angrily threw down a laptop then grabbed his daughter and walked toward the balcony of the residence. Well, you've come to the right place.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Miami Dolphins</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>Tyreek Hill might just be on the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/dolphins-news-mike-mcdaniel-tyreek-hills-social-media-antics-trade-buzz">Miami Dolphins’ trade block</a>.</p><p>That’s right, while the situation remains firmly in the rumors stage, when the player himself has potentially commented on them, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/dolphins-tyreek-hill-sends-ominous-message-amid-trade-rumors">posting the peace sign on social media</a>, it all but certainly added some legitimacy to what has otherwise widely been speculation.</p><p>In the opinion of Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, where there’s smoke, there should be fire, as he wants nothing more than to see the Dolphins make a move, as Hill’s one of the few players on the roster who <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/nfl-takeaways-cam-ward-emerged-no-1-draft-pick#_jd34uf2gg" rel="noopener">could generate a legitimate return</a>.</p><p>“If I were the Miami Dolphins, I’d think about trading Tyreek Hill. But before we get to that, here’s to Terron Armstead, who is retiring after an illustrious 12-year career… Armstead turns 34 this summer. Before hanging ’em up, he was one of six Dolphins making more than $12 million per year. Three more—Hill (30), Jalen Ramsey (29), and Bradley Chubb (28)—will be 29 or older at the start of camp and have missed significant time over the past two years. Meanwhile, Tua Tagovailoa is now off his rookie contract, and there is some cap debt to manage from the aggressive building over the next few years,” Breet wrote.</p><p>“Also, it’s hard to imagine either Ramsey or Chubb, when the time comes, will bring a big return to help reset the team’s roster. I believe Hill still can. What’s more, you have a young player at his position, 25-year-old star Jaylen Waddle, who can soften the blow of a potential departure.”</p><p>Would it be hard to say goodbye to Hill, as such a move would all but certainly make the Dolphins a worse team? Sure, but Breer sees the writing on the wall and hopes Miami can land a soft rebuild before things fall off a cliff.</p><p>“Now, it would be painful, to be sure, to lose a guy who’s meant so much to how Mike McDaniel has built his program over the past three years. But at this point, with Armstead gone and significant questions on the roster (fingers crossed for Miami on second-year man Patrick Paul at left tackle), the hard question they have to ask themselves is whether they can win a championship with the current group,” Breer wrote.</p><p>“If the answer is no (and I’m not saying it is), then it makes sense for the Armstead decision to set off a plan for McDaniel and GM Chris Grier to rebuild around Tagovailoa on the fly. Getting a haul of picks for Hill would be a sensible place to start.”</p><p>Should the Dolphins trade away Hill? Or have they yet to meet their full potential at the NFL level, with a Super Bowl win still a possibility if everything comes together perfectly. While it’s hard to say, Breer is betting on the former, as no core of players at the NFL level can last forever. Better to trade Hill now, Breer figures, than be stuck with multiple massive contracts for declining players that will only lead to future firings.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
