And here are two last-minute trades the Colts must make before the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline.</p><p>The Colts are the NFL’s only 7-1 team. They easily lead the league in points scored with 270. But they’ve given up 154, which shows they may need a little help on that side of the football.</p><p>Let’s take a look at the direction the Colts should go for trade prospects.</p><h2><b>Colts should pursue CB Cam Taylor-Britt</b></h2><p>This is a good match for several reasons. But one of the good ones is that Taylor-Britt <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46653213/2025-nfl-trade-deadline-ranking-top-25-candidates-players-available" rel="noopener">would be reunited</a> with Lou Anarumo, according to ESPN.</p><p>“Taylor-Britt was a healthy scratch [recently], forcing him to contemplate his immediate future,” Jeremy Fowler wrote. “DJ Turner and Dax Hill have emerged as the Bengals’ primary corners. Taylor-Britt has shown flashes, but he needs to up his 2026 free agency value. And he could use a fresh start. Perhaps the Bengals will give one to him. His former defensive coordinator, Lou Anarumo, is now coordinating the Colts’ defense, which is depleted at corner.”</p><p>Also, Taylor-Britt still has age on his side.</p><p>“Taylor-Britt is only 26 years old, and he has traits that might entice some teams,” Matt Bowen wrote. “He can match vertically in man coverage due to his long speed, but I see a better fit in zone-heavy defenses. Taylor-Britt had seven interceptions and 15 pass breakups from 2023 to 2024.”</p><p>Also, Taylor-Britt seemed <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46629262/bengals-hoping-cam-taylor-britt-turn-page-benching" rel="noopener">to respond well</a> to his benching, according to ESPN.</p><p>“I would love nothing more [than] for him to respond and go on a great run here,” Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden said. “I enjoy being around Cam. [And] I really want the best for him. And I really hope that he has an opportunity here to really turn the page and come out of this thing really, really good here over the next half of the season.”</p><h2><b>Colts need to look into LB Demario Davis</b></h2><p>The Colts could get better at the linebacker position if they want to make a serious run at the Super Bowl. And Davis, despite his age, is still <a href="https://www.pff.com/news/20-trade-candidates-ahead-of-the-2025-nfl-trade-deadline" rel="noopener">getting things done</a>, according to Pro Football Focus.</p><p>“Davis has remained one of the league’s ageless wonders in 2025,” Bradley Locker wrote. “Even at age 36, his 81.2 overall PFF grade ranks eighth among qualified linebackers. Although keeping up in coverage has proven a bit more of a liability, Davis is still a tremendous run defender, evidenced by his 90.5 PFF run-defense grade and 19 stops.</p><p>“Even though the Saints have gone 22-35 over the last four years, they haven’t shown a willingness to part with veterans like Davis. Perhaps that will finally change with Davis in the last season of a two-year extension.”</p><p>Also, Davis seems <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/saints/saints-news/saints-demario-davis-has-different-approach-from-baker-mayfield-pat3" rel="noopener">to still have</a> that NFL fire, as evidenced by his comments about Baker Mayfield’s trash talk on WDSU6 via Sports Illustrated.</p><p>“I love trash talk,” Davis said. “I love trash talk, but trash talk isn’t going to do anything for anyone before the game. It’s only going to do something for you in the game. And you don’t have to verbally trash talk. You can trash talk with your game, too.</p><p>“But, I’m for all the smoke inside the white lines. This ain’t WrestleMania. So the pregame talk ain’t where it’s at. You know, it’s like we get a chance to really duke it out inside the white lines, and I don’t think there’s nobody that’s ducking smoke. The game is going to sell itself, man. It’s a high-entertainment business. It sells itself, so there’s no words that need to be shared. But, as far as him and me, I’ve got a ton of respect for him and the way he’s playing.”</p><h2><b>Colts need to make a move</b></h2><p>Nobody expected the Colts to be 7-1. The Colts didn’t even expect to have this kind of start. But when lightning strikes in the NFL, teams need to take advantage of the situation.</p><p>The Colts still aren’t viewed as one of the top two or three Super Bowl contenders. And there’s a reason for it. They don’t have all of the pieces to make that run, and they don’t have a quarterback that teams view as Super Bowl material.</p><p>So they need to make a trade, or maybe two, to shore up deficiencies and give themselves a chance to still be playing deep into January.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

This has been a <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-daniel-jones-insane-milestone-peyton-manning-never-hit">special season for Colts QB Daniel Jones</a>, but one of his teammates also deserves plenty of praise.</p><p>Jones <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46740359/colts-taylor-adds-153-yards-3-more-tds-mvp-year" rel="noopener">endorsed his running back</a> for MVP consideration after his monster game.</p><p>“I think those were spot on,” Jones said about the chants following <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-fans-want-jonathan-taylor-mvp-conversation-80-yard-touchdown">Taylor’s 80-yard touchdown run</a>.</p><p>Taylor had 12 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans. He averaged a whopping 12.8 yards per carry thanks to his long touchdown run.</p><p>Colts receiver <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-jonathan-taylor-80-yard-td-michael-pittman-jr">Michael Pittman Jr. was clearly shocked</a> that Taylor ripped off another long run against Tennessee.</p><p>“We were all in disbelief,” Pittman Jr. said. “I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s a good 15-yard run.’ And then he breaks out, I’m like, ‘That’s a good 30-yard run.’ And then he’s running 80 yards. I’m like, ‘Oh s—!’ We’re all hyped for him, and we are really going to try our hardest to keep pushing him.”</p><p>Meanwhile, Taylor gave a humble response to his performance that encapsulates why the Colts are so dangerous right now.</p><p>“We’ve got a lot of players making plays, so everybody’s going to get the ball, and that’s what makes us so lethal,” Taylor said. “So, what can you do?”</p><h2><b>Colts fans agree that Jonathan Taylor deserves MVP consideration</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Colts-news-Jonathan-Taylor-has-Caitlin-Clark-dropping-truth-bombs-after-2-0-start.jpg"><figcaption>© Grace Hollars/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>Jones is far from the only person to think that Taylor deserves some MVP hype.</p><p>In fact, everyone seemed to agree that Taylor entered the conversation after his 80-yard touchdown run.</p><p>“Lucas Oil Stadium serenaded Jonathan Taylor in MVP chants after this 80-yard TD run,” <a href="https://x.com/nerlens_/status/1982571098287050911" rel="noopener">Noah Compton</a>, host of “The Blue Stable” podcast, posted on social media.</p><p>Former offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz also gave Taylor <a href="https://x.com/geoffschwartz/status/1982580451178111211" rel="noopener">a strong MVP endorsement</a>.</p><p>“Jonathan Taylor for MVP is a real discussion. He [was] still 60/1 [odds] on Tuesday. He’s on track to set the rushing touchdown record. His team is probably the 1 seed. It all tracks for a running back to win the MVP.”</p><p>One fan put it very simply.</p><p>“If Jonathan Taylor isn’t your MVP this season, you simply don’t know ball,” <a href="https://x.com/itsCSB__/status/1982580329824292876" rel="noopener">one fan declared</a>.</p><p>Indianapolis needs to be appointment television for all NFL fans for the rest of the season. It was also the fourth game this season in which he scored three touchdowns, which includes the first matchup against Tennessee. The Colts’ offense has been dominant to start the season, and Taylor is a huge reason why.</p><p>The Colts’ schedule toughens up, as they hit the road for the Pittsburgh Steelers and head to Berlin to face the Atlanta Falcons. Pittman secured the pass with just one arm to put the Colts up 17-7.</p><p>Whenever players make similar plays, they tend to haul in the catch with their unoccupied hand. That would have been impressive on its own, but Pittman used his right arm, which was locked up with Armour-Davis, to pin the ball against his chest.</p><p>The play only gets more impressive upon a closer view. The sixth-year wideout entered halftime with a team-leading six catches for 68 receiving yards and one phenomenal touchdown.</p><p>Pittman’s success was only part of the Colts’ big first half. Indianapolis tormented the Titans’ defense, accumulating 221 total yards in the first half.</p><p>Pittman’s 68 receiving yards were part of Jones’ 146-yard first half. Running back Jonathan Taylor also torched Tennessee on the ground, racking up 72 rushing yards and a touchdown on just eight carries before the break.</p><p>The Colts entered halftime with a 17-7 lead. Teams have until November 4th to strike any finals deals with one another for the rest of the season. That <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/nfl-stories/nfl-rumors-jets-titans-getting-bombarded-with-trade-calls">gives rebuilding teams an opportunity to shed players</a> and gain future picks, while <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/eagles-perfect-offer-trey-hendrickson-bengals-nfl-trade-deadline">contenders can add final pieces</a> ahead of their playoff runs.</p><p>NFL teams should be incredibly active ahead of this season’s trade deadline. And one position seems to be particularly in demand.</p><p>The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported on Saturday that <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6747218/2025/10/25/nfl-trade-rumors-news-aj-brown-jerry-jones-targets/" rel="noopener">multiple teams are searching for cornerbacks</a> before the trade deadline.</p><p>“The Ravens, Colts, Lions and Rams are making calls for a corner,” Russini wrote on Saturday.</p><p>All four teams have been dealt some significant injuries in their secondaries. It is no surprise that they are exploring the trade market.</p><p>Los Angeles is missing Akhello <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/los-angeles-rams/rams-news-ahkello-witherspoon-breaks-clavicle-in-win-over-titans">Witherspoon, who broke his clavicle</a> and is now on injured reserve. Baltimore is in a similar position, with Jaire Alexander and Ar’Darius Washington both injured.</p><p>As for the Colts, they are without both Charvarius Ward and Jaylon Jones, both of whom are on injured reserve.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Lions could be in the worst situation of the bunch. Detroit’s entire secondary starting secondary missed their last game against Tampa Bay. With Downs out, Daniel Jones had to rely on Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, Tyler Warren, and others, and it was enough to get them the win.</p><p>Getting Downs back is big for the Colts, as he’s recorded 26 catches this season for 217 yards and one touchdown. Out of 26 of Downs’ receptions, 15 of them have been for first downs.</p><p>Jones has been getting his receivers in easy situations to make plays, which has been the big difference with the team this season. When the Colts played the Titans earlier this season, they won 41-20, and <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-michael-pittman-jr-titans-didnt-want-to-play-today">Pittman made some comments</a> after the game that showed that the opposing team wasn’t ready for what was coming to them.</p><p>“Saw it on the pre-game intros. They kinda looked a little sluggish, they were kinda walking around, nobody was really bouncing,” Pittman said. “Right then and there we all sat there and were like ‘They don’t want to play today.’”</p><p>The Titans will look a little different this time around, with them firing Brian Callahan since then, and they may come out with some better energy. Wilson was one of the better defenders on the Bengals over the last few years, being a key part of the team that went all the way to the Super Bowl in 2022 and the AFC Championship game in 2022.</p><p>However, through seven games, Wilson <a href="https://www.espn.ph/nfl/story/_/id/46597458/bengals-defensive-stalwart-logan-wilson-addresses-benching" rel="noopener">has seen his usage steadily decline</a> as his role was taken over by two rookies. The Bengals have chosen to go younger as the season progressed, trying out Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter more over the veteran. That’s seemingly left Wilson a little disgruntled with his play.</p><p>Now, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/bengals-news-cincinnati-season-blow-logan-wilson-trade-request">Wilson has requested a trade from the Bengals</a> after steadily losing snaps over the last few weeks. The Bengals are likely going to oblige the veteran’s request. However, which teams should try to avail the linebacker’s services? Let’s look at three teams that should be calling Cincinnati to inquire about a Logan Wilson trade.</p><h2><b>San Francisco 49ers</b></h2><p>The 49ers already have reported interest in one of the Bengals’ top players. With the injury to Nick Bosa, San Francisco is reportedly interested in trading for star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. With the many injuries to their defensive roster, it makes sense for the team to try and acquire more players to keep their playoff hopes alive.</p><p>The Bengals have already rebuffed suitors looking to acquire Hendrickson, believing they’re still in play for a playoff spot. The Indianapolis defense has been solid so far, but there are clear holes at the linebacker and the pass rush that still need to be addressed.</p><p>Wilson could be one of the names that the Colts target at the trade deadline. Indianapolis DC Lou Anarumo worked with Wilson extensively in Cincinnati prior to this season. Wilson’s familiarity with Anarumo’s schemes could spark a resurgence in the linebacker. While they had a solid showing in Week 7, the last six weeks of the NFL season have not inspired any confidence that Dallas can maintain their performance against the Washington Commanders in the succeeding weeks.</p><p>Part of their struggles this season is due to their linebackers’ struggles. With DeMarvion Overshown still recovering from a season-ending injury last season, the Cowboys have struggled to fill the gap left by the linebacker. It hasn’t been pretty, with the Cowboys getting gashed by the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 due to the linebackers struggling to get into their sets.</p><p>Wilson might have lost a step due to age, but he’s still a solid linebacker for a team. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, won its first assignment in nail-biting fashion, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/nba-stories/nba-news-fans-wild-ending-kevin-durant-rockets-debut-thunder">outlasting the Houston Rockets in double overtime</a>.</p><p>Many tuned in to watch the rendezvous between the two squads, including Indianapolis Colts star Jonathan Taylor. He expressed his support for the Pacers with a <a href="https://x.com/JayT23/status/1981507301753147725" rel="noopener">simple post</a> on X.</p><p>“#YesCers,” said Taylor.</p><p>The 26-year-old running back has been quite supportive of other teams in Indiana. When the Indiana Fever advanced to the semifinals of the playoffs, Taylor also took to X to <a href="https://x.com/JayT23/status/1968871643368898656" rel="noopener">express his excitement</a>.</p><p><a href="https://x.com/JayT23/status/1492211918567706625" rel="noopener">He also welcomed</a> Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton when the talented guard was traded to Indiana by the Sacramento Kings in 2022.</p><p>“Appreciate you boss @TyHaliburton22. Gonna have my guys get you right!” wrote Taylor on X.</p><p>Taylor returned the favor after Haliburton tipped his hat to the two-time Pro Bowler for helping him win the championship in NFL Fantasy.</p><p>The Pacers have a tough challenge ahead playing without the 25-year-old Haliburton, who’s still recovering from an Achilles injury he sustained in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.</p><p>To make matters worse, fellow guard <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nba/indiana-pacers/pacers-news-andrew-nembhard-ruled-out-for-rest-of-thunder-game-with-concerning-injury">Andrew Nembhard was ruled out for the rest of the game</a> versus the Thunder after suffering a shoulder injury in the first half. Backup guard TJ McConnell is already out of commission due to a hamstring injury, leaving the Pacers severely shorthanded in the backcourt.</p><p>In contrast, the Colts are enjoying a healthy campaign, leading the NFL with a 6-1 record. They are off to their best start since 2009. Their surprising rise to prominence is arguably the best story in the league right right now.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Texans have been a disappointment and nobody can be sure what the Jaguars are from week to week. As for the Titans, they’ve already thrown in the towel <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/titans-news-tennessee-fires-brian-callahan-brutal-1-5-start">after firing head coach Brian Callahan</a>.</p><p>But don’t be fooled by how lopsided this game looks on paper. Division games always feature a little bit of edge and unpredictability. After all, these are the teams that know each other the best.</p><p>Plus, the Colts are in the middle of a truly magical season. That alone is worth your attention. Colts running back Jonathan <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-jonathan-taylor-locker-room-take-fans-super-bowl">Taylor explained the special feeling this season has</a> after Week 2.</p><p>“I just think that there’s a little bit of something extra. Of course, we know that we’re honoring Mr. (Jim) Irsay and, of course, we know that he’s looking down (on us), and we know that we have a little bit of that blessing on us,” said Taylor in a video shared by WISH-TV News’ Angela Moryan.</p><p>With all of that said, do the Titans actually have a chance against the Colts? And which players will play the most important roles in this game?</p><p>Below we will explore three bold predictions from the Week 8 matchup between the Titans and Colts.</p><p><i><b>*Watch NFL games LIVE with fuboTV <a href="https://www.fubo.tv/lp/football/?irad=356362&amp;irmp=492408" rel="noopener sponsored">(free trial)</a>*</b></i></p><h2><b>Daniel Jones keeps rolling against lowly Titans defense</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Daniel-Jones-3.jpg"><figcaption>Mykal McEldowney/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images.</figcaption></figure><p>Danny Dimes is gone and Indiana Jones has taken his place.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/daniel-jones-deserves-not-just-an-apology-for-colts-renaissance-but-also-mvp-hype">Jones is in the middle of a complete career renaissance</a> with the Colts in 2025.</p><p>The veteran quarterback already has 1,790 passing yards for 10 touchdowns and only three interceptions. He has a passer rating of 105.9 and a completion percentage of 71.0%, one of the best in the NFL.</p><p>At this pace, Jones will most certainly have the best season of his career.</p><p>So how will he fare against the Titans?</p><p>Tennessee has not played great defense this season, but they are far from being a disaster. Especially when considering the bad situations their offense routinely puts them in.</p><p>The Titans allowed <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/view/defense/stat/passing/table/passing/sort/netPassingYardsPerGame/dir/desc" rel="noopener">7.3 yards per attempt and 210 passing yards per game</a> through seven games. Those are both in the bottom half of NFL teams, but could be much worse.</p><p>Indy will certainly lean on their running game in this one (more on that in a second), but I think there will be space for Jones to put together a great game passing too.</p><p>I’m predicting that Jones will have 250+ passing yards, one rushing touchdown, and will remain efficient with his QBR and completion percentage.</p><h2><b>Jonathan Taylor has more rushing yards, touchdowns than Titans</b></h2><p>Indy is finally seeing the version of Taylor that the NFL fell in love with back in 2021.</p><p>The veteran running back has been the engine of Indy’s offense. He has 131 carries for 697 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns through seven games this season.</p><p>The Colts are making it very easy for Taylor, allowing him to get plenty of yards before contact and remain incredibly efficient. In fact, he is averaging 5.3 yards per carry and has not had lower than 3.9 yards per carry in any game this season.</p><p>Taylor has also been a touchdown machine, scoring three touchdowns in three separate games this season. That includes his Week 3 domination of the Titans, where he had 17 carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns.</p><p>He’s even <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-jonathan-taylor-jim-brown-priest-holmes-derrick-henry-territory">put himself in Jim Brown territory</a> after his impressive start to the season.</p><p>“Colts making weekly history,” Holder posted on X. “Here’s some: Jonathan Taylor became the 4th player with three separate games with 3 rushing TDs within his team’s first 7 games. The others: Jim Brown (1958), Priest Holmes (2004), and Derrick Henry (2021). Crazy.”</p><p>Let’s go big with this week’s prediction.</p><p>I am predicting that Taylor will have more rushing yards and rushing touchdown than the Titans in Week 8.</p><p>But exactly how bold is that prediction?</p><p>When just looking at rushing yards, Taylor actually accomplished this four times already this season. So adding that rushing touchdowns portion gives this some extra juice.</p><h2><b>Colts beat Titans, but only by one score</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Titans-quarterback-Cam-Ward-1-heads-to-the-locker-room.jpg"><figcaption>© Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>It can be easy to forget that the Titans are still a legitimate NFL team despite their terrible start to the season.</p><p>Much of the news around Tennessee focuses on <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/titans-rumors-only-2-untouchable-players-before-2025-trade-deadline">which player will not be traded away</a> ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline. And stories about <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/titans-news-tennessee-grants-tyler-lockett-release-patriots-loss">Tyler Lockett requesting a release</a> do not help the perception that the Titans are a sinking ship.</p><p>While all of that can be true, it does not doom the Titans to lose the rest of their games this season.</p><p>It can be incredibly difficult to predict “trap games” ahead of time, especially when it means a team like the Titans getting a win. I won’t go that far this week, but I think this game could be much more competitive than it is currently being billed.</p><p>I’m predicting that Tennessee will keep this a close game and only lose by one score.</p><p>That is by far the boldest prediction on this list, as the Titans have only lost by that margin one time this season (20-12 against Denver in Week 1).</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
