He joined ClutchPoints in 2023.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Chicago Bears</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers picked up a huge win <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news-ben-johnson-matt-lafleur-packers">over the Chicago Bears</a> at home, securing a game-sealing interception of Caleb Williams in the closing moments to earn the victory. The<a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/packers-news-the-call-hurt-evan-williams-feelings-bears-game"> Packers now sit</a> in first place in the NFC North, but still have a road game against the Bears coming up in two weeks that could very well decide the division.</p><p>Unfortunately, the Packers have been dealing with<a href="https://x.com/RobDemovsky/status/1999160723277029663" rel="noopener"> some injury concerns</a> for running back Josh Jacobs this week, which were addressed by head coach Matt LaFleur at Thursday’s press conference.</p><p>“Packers coach Matt LaFleur said RB Josh Jacobs (knee) likely will miss his second straight day of practice, and they will see where he’s at tomorrow,” reported Rob Demovsky of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.</p><p>“He’s been battling through it. We’ll see,” said LaFleur.</p><p>Jacobs rushed for 86 yards on 20 carries in Sunday’s win over the Bears, and although he hasn’t necessarily lived all the way up to expectations as the Packers’ running back this year, he’s still a valuable weapon for their offense, ensuring that they aren’t relying too heavily on Jordan Love and the passing game.</p><p>Up next for the Packers is a tough road game against one of the NFL’s best defenses in the Denver Broncos, and it remains to be seen whether Jacobs will be able to go for that game. Green Bay would sure like to have him out there in the Mile High City.</p><p>Kickoff for that game is set for Sunday at 4:25 pm ET.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

I think nine times out of 10, I’ll hit it.”</p><p>Williams has taken a step forward in his second season despite working with his third play caller in Ben Johnson. After a rough start to the year in Johnson’s first season as head coach, the Bears’ offense has taken massive strides over the course of the season. Now, Chicago has one of the best running games in football and Williams is getting more and more consistent in the passing game.</p><p>Even coming off of this loss, the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/nfl-stories/bears-packers-playoff-chances-green-bay-wins-week-14-lambeau">Bears should still feel good about their playoff chances</a> heading into the final month of the regular season. Chicago is currently sitting at 9-4 on the season with a game against the 3-10 Cleveland Browns coming up in Week 15. He has had a passion for sports his entire life, and enjoys covering and writing about all sports.</address><h3 class="op-kicker">Chicago Bears</h3><figure class="op-ad"></figure></header><p>The Chicago Bears no longer have the lead in the NFC North after <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news-ben-johnson-matt-lafleur-packers">losing a 28-21 classic against the Green Bay Packers</a> in Week 14, but reinforcements are on their way for Ben Johnson and company for the final four weeks of their playoff push.</p><p>Wide receiver Rome Odunze, who missed the game against the Packers with a foot injury, <a href="https://x.com/danwiederer/status/1998885530222866582" rel="noopener">returned to practice</a> on Wednesday in a limited capacity.</p><p>The schedule lightens up a bit for the Bears in Week 15, as Chicago will take on the 3-10 Cleveland Browns as it looks for its 10th win of the season. Getting that win would not only be a big milestone for Johnson’s squad, but it would also be one step closer to getting the Bears back in the playoffs.</p><p>Even after missing Week 14, Odunze is still comfortably the Bears’ leading receiver in 2025 with 661 yards on 44 catches to go with six touchdowns. After Caleb Williams and the passing game struggled a little bit without Odunze on Sunday, but it’s looking like he could be back against a very good Browns defense.</p><p>Odunze’s 90 targets also lead all Bears pass-catchers by a mile, so it is clear that he is a focal point of Johnson’s game plans and he is Williams’ top target on the field at all times.</p><p>A Bears offense that started the season as one of the worst units in the league is now an above-average unit, and the running game is a big part of that. If the passing game can catch up, this could be a very dangerous offense in the playoffs, and <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news-rome-odunze-officially-out-critical-packers-clash-foot-injury">getting Odunze back is a step in the right direction</a>.</p><p>Sunday’s game could be considered a must-win for the Bears before the schedule really heats up again during the final month of the season. Chicago closes the season with games against the Packers, 49ers and Lions, all teams it is fighting for playoff spots with, so getting its 10th win on Sunday is crucial against a struggling Browns squad.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

With all 32 teams in action ahead of their crucial divisional races, finding consistency at the fantasy tight end position will be essential to a successful playoff run.</p><p>The position was highlighted by Cleveland Browns’ rookie Harold Fannin Jr. who posted 29.4 (PPR) fantasy points on 114 yards receiving and a touchdown from fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. Raiders’ Brock Bowers and Cardinals’ Trey McBride both added a touchdown to continue their run at the top of the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/fantasy-sports/fantasy-football-tight-end-rankings-week-15-2025">weekly TE rankings</a>.</p><p>Aside from the top five must-start options, we’ll be taking a look at which tight ends are worth starting and who can remain on the bench ahead of the Week 15 Fantasy Football playoffs.</p><h2>Week 15 Tight Ends – Start ‘Em</h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Cleveland-Browns-tight-end-Harold-Fannin-Jr.-44-catches-a-touchdown-pass-over-Tennessee-Titans-free-safety-Xavier-Woods-25.jpg"><figcaption>© Jeff Lange / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p><b>This Week’s Top-5 TE Starts:</b></p><ol><li>George Kittle, SF (vs. TEN)</li><li>Brock Bowers, LV (@ PHI)</li><li>Trey McBride, ARI (@ HOU)</li><li>Kyle Pitts, ATL (@ TB)</li><li>Tyler Warren, IND (@ SEA)</li></ol><p><b>Harold Fannin Jr., CLE (@CHI)</b></p><p>In battling for the starting TE1 role in Cleveland alongside veteran David Njoku, rookie Harold Fannin Jr. has officially established himself as the Browns’ tight end of the future. In Week 14, Fannin Jr. logged his best game as pro, hauling in eight receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. It was his highest-scoring fantasy game with 29.4 (PPR) points and he immediately emerges as a top candidate for any team heading into the playoffs.</p><p>Even more promising was the immediate connection with fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders as Fannin Jr. immediately became his favorite passing target. With Shedeur Sanders looking to prove his worth as the starter moving forward, expect Fannin Jr. to see a massive increase in usage thanks to a move the Cleveland Browns should have made much earlier than they did. Harold Fannin Jr. is in the top-5 TE discussion for the rest of the season.</p><p><b>Brenton Strange, JAX (vs. NYJ)</b></p><p>Prior to landing on Injured Reserve in Week 6 and not returning until Week 12, Brenton Strange was leading the Jacksonville Jaguars in receptions and touchdowns. With a number of key pieces like rookie WR Travis Hunter lost in the time since, Strange returns as the most reliable pass-catching option for Trevor Lawrence. He’s logged 11 total receptions since Week 12 and has pasted a touchdown, picking up where he left off prior to injury.</p><p>With the Jaguars fighting for playoff contention, Strange will continue to be a focal point for their offense in tight games. They have a favorable matchup in Week 15 against the New York Jets, who are allowing 7.1 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. As the Jaguars continue their offensive success, look for Strange to get in the end zone again in Week 15.</p><h2>Week 15 Tight Ends – Sit ‘Em</h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Chicago-Bears-tight-end-Colston-Loveland-84-scores-a-touchdown.jpg"><figcaption>© Jeff Hanisch-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p><b>Coleston Loveland, CHI (vs. CLE)</b></p><p>Chicago Bears’ Coleston Loveland comes into Week 15 following his third-highest fantasy performance (12.9 pts) on the season, his second career game with a receiving touchdown. His four receptions were only good for 29 yards, however, which has become a common theme on the intermediate crossing routes he’s typically running. Against the Green Bay Packers, most of Loveland’s receptions came on broken plays where QB Caleb Williams was scrambling and buying time.</p><p>The Cleveland Browns will offer a similar pass rush behind sack-leader Myles Garrett, so expect Caleb Williams to be using his legs a significant amount again in this one. Until Loveland can continue to overtake the snap share opposite veteran Cole Kmet, he doesn’t seem to be a reliable fantasy starter just yet.</p><p><b>Isaiah Likely, BAL (@CIN)</b></p><p>While Baltimore Ravens’ veteran Mark Andrews has been the more active tight end within this offense throughout this season, Isaiah Likely has certainly seen more production over the last two weeks with back-t0-back 12.5-point fantasy outings. He’s out=paced Andrews with nine receptions over the last two and scored a touchdown in their last game.</p><p>The Cincinnati Bengals are allowing the <a href="https://www.footballdb.com/fantasy-football/points-allowed.html?pos=TE">most average fantasy points</a> (15.5) to opposing tight ends this season, making for a phenomenal matchup for both Likely and Andrews. However, the offense has had its woes the last few weeks and only one of the tight ends will be able to have a reliable fantasy performance. Mark Andrews is due for a big game and typical rises to the occasion during these divisional matchups, so we’ll stray away from Likely in this one as his teammates finds more success.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

The Bears were the better team for much of the second half and were driving for the tying touchdown in the final minutes. If Caleb Williams had finished the drive and delivered a score, the Bears were likely to go for a winning two-point conversion.</p><p>Williams’ attempt at a tying TD pass to tight end Cole Kmet was intercepted by Packers defensive back Keisean Nixon. Head coach Ben Johnson explained why the play failed.</p><p>“Nixon was man-to-man with DJ (Moore) and was trailing him and ended up falling off and making a play on Cole there,” <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6874088/2025/12/09/bears-ben-johnson-loss-to-packers/">Johnson said</a> in his postgame remarks. “It was a good play by Nixon and yet I still don’t think if we get the spacing right and all that, and a good ball, that he’s gonna be able to cover both of those players like that.”</p><p>There were clearly a few moments of regret because the Packers had a 28-21 triumph and moved into first place in the NFC North. However, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/bears-news-ben-johnson-hints-at-kyler-gordons-injury-knocking-him-out-season">the Bears</a> were quickly preparing for their Week 15 clash with the Cleveland Browns.</p><p>It seems likely that the Bears will be back in first place at the conclusion of Sunday’s games. If Green Bay can’t come up with the upset and the Bears beat the Browns, they will switch positions in the NFC North and Chicago will return to the top spot.</p><h2><b>NFL’s best pass rusher will sack Bears’ Williams twice</b></h2><p>The Browns (3-10) are in last place in the AFC North, but they have already beaten the Packers and they have one of the best pass rushers of the past 20 years in Myles Garrett.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/why-bears-look-even-more-dangerous-despite-heartbreaking-loss-to-packers">The Bears</a> are going to have to find a way to keep him ruining their pass blocking and getting after Williams. The quarterback has shown the ability to get away from the pass rush throughout the season, but Garrett is relentless, strong, speedy and skilled. He has a league-best 20.0 sacks to go with 53 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 32 quarterback hits, 3 forced fumbles and 1 pass batted down.</p><p>Even if Williams can avoid Garrett for much of the game, he is likely to get sacked at least once and hit hard on two or more occasions. That’s not what will determine the outcome of the game. Quarterbacks get hit every game, including Williams. However, he must be able to put those plays behind him quickly and demonstrate he can get rid of the ball on time and accurately.</p><p>Williams has completed 249 of 431 passes for 2,908 yards this season with 19 touchdown passes and 6 interceptions this season. He has also rushed for 321 yards while averaging 4.94 yards per carry and scoring 3 TDs. The belief here is that Williams will throw 2 TD passes and run for an additional score as the Bears assert their will against the Browns.</p><p>If he can avoid throwing more than 1 interception and he does not fumble — a difficult ask against Garrett — the Bears have an excellent chance of holding up their end of the bargain and securing a victory.</p><p>Look for rookie tight end Colston Loveland to come up with a key play in the fourth quarter. If the game is tight in the final 15 minutes, Williams has shown he will look for Loveland. He caught the game-winning TD pass against the Cincinnati in Week 9 and he has caught 35 passes for 435 yards and 4 TDs. Look for Loveland to be decisive against the Browns.</p><h2><b>Sweat will lead Bears defense with 1.0 sack and a forced fumble</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Montez-Sweat-could-be-inspired-by-playing-against-Cleveland-edge-rusher-Myles-Garrett.jpg"><figcaption>Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Bears are a tough, turnover-oriented defensive team this season. Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen has built a unit that will attack and punch back when the opponents hit them with a long drive or a key play.</p><p>They have been especially strong at producing interceptions. Safety Kevin Byard has a league-leading 6 interceptions, while cornerback Nahshon Wright is right behind with 5 picks. Linebacker Tremaine Edmonds has contributed 4 interceptions and leads the team with 89 tackles.</p><p>However, the key to their success in this game will be the pressure they can put on rookie QB Shedeur Sanders. Edge rusher Montez Sweat has an extremely quick first step and he also excels at hand fighting. He leads the Bears with 8.5 sacks and he should get at least 1.0 in this game and also force a fumble.</p><p>A strong outing by the defense should propel the Bears to their 10th victory of the season.</p><p> </p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

In the first halves this year, Williams is completing barely more than half his throws, with no first-quarter touchdown since September and only one passer rating over 76.</p><p>After the break, his numbers jump, with more yards per attempt and a far better touchdown-to-interception split. Fans have asked why it takes so long for him to heat up. Johnson has decided the answer is staring back at him.</p><p>The play-caller’s system leans heavily on deeper developing concepts and not enough on quick, high-percentage throws. That might work with a veteran who has seen every coverage, but it can leave a young quarterback hunting explosives before he has any rhythm.</p><p>Johnson admitted after the loss in Green Bay that he has to change that equation, asking aloud how he can “get [Caleb] in a rhythm early in games” instead of making his first completion an 18-yard dagger on the road.</p><p>Nobody is questioning Johnson’s credentials after years of success with Jared Goff, but this is a different stage of quarterback development. Tweaking the script to build Williams’ confidence with easier concepts feels like the necessary compromise, not a philosophical surrender.</p><p>Health has to cooperate, too. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news-ben-johnson-reacts-kyler-gordons-injuries">Johnson called Kyler Gordon’s soft-tissue string of setbacks</a> “disappointing,” admitting he still has not seen enough of the corner on the field and vowing to “exhaust all of our resources” to get him healthy after yet another late scratch against Green Bay.</p><p>If the coach smooths out his own flaw, gets Gordon back, and the Bears keep bringing that second-half edge from the opening whistle, the loss at Lambeau may be remembered as the moment Chicago stopped fearing the rivalry and started flipping it.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

Each week in the NFL brings massive playoff implications and marquee matchups in a year where it seems like anybody can win any given game, and that was no different this week.</p><p>Most notably, the Texans put the Chiefs even further behind in the AFC playoff race on Sunday night with a 20-10 victory. The Chargers essentially sealed Kansas City’s fate with a win over the Eagles in overtime on Monday, meaning the NFL’s modern dynasty will very likely be watching the playoffs at home.</p><p>Elsewhere, the Rams and Seahawks continued to mow down opponents in the NFC, the Packers took back first place in the NFC North with a win over the Bears, the Colts lost the lead in the AFC South and <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/colts-news-daniel-jones-tore-achilles-in-loss-to-jaguars">quarterback Daniel Jones to an Achilles injury</a>.</p><p>Who made the list of winners and losers from one of the more eventful Sundays of the year?</p><h2><b>Winner: The Texans’ defense</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Houston-Texans-defensive-end-Will-Anderson-Jr.-51-and-Houston-Texans-safety-Jalen-Pitre-5-celebrate.jpg"><figcaption>© Denny Medley-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Houston Texans are arguably the hottest team in football right now after beating the Chiefs 20-10 on Sunday night in Kansas City to get to 8-5 on the season. Now, it appears very likely that the Texans will be in the playoffs, and they may have <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-playoff-picture-kansas-city-odds-gutter-brutal-loss-texans">ended the Chiefs’ hopes of joining them</a> there with this win.</p><p>Houston’s defense has been the catalyst for this recent run, establishing itself as one of the best units in the NFL on either side of the ball. On Sunday, even Patrick Mahomes fell victim to DeMeco Ryans and company. The star Chiefs quarterback posted the worst EPA per dropback of his career at minus-0.54, the worst completion percentage of his career at 42.9% and the <a href="https://x.com/BenjaminSolak/status/1997888159997460982" rel="noopener">worst passer rating of his career</a> at 19.8, per ESPN’s Ben Solak.</p><p>The Texans make plays at all three levels, combining arguably the best pass-rushing duo in the league with an elite secondary that gets to the football on a frequent basis. In recent weeks, the Texans have shut down Mahomes, Josh Allen, and an explosive Colts team as a part of a five-game winning streak that doesn’t look like it’s coming to an end anytime soon.</p><h2><b>Loser: The Chiefs, and everyone who has to play the Texans’ defense</b></h2><p>On the other side of Sunday night’s result is the likely end of the Chiefs dynasty, or at least this iteration of it. Kansas City’s efficiency has been solid all season, but it has always felt like something was just a bit off.</p><p>That was never more true than in this game, when the Chiefs seemed to always have something go wrong on the offensive side. Fill-in left tackle <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-lose-another-o-lineman-to-season-ending-injury">Wanya Morris left with a season-ending injury</a> on the first play of the game, and Kansas City struggled with Houston’s pass rush all night. When it wasn’t the offensive line letting the Chiefs down, it was the receivers with a handful of back-breaking drops. When it wasn’t that, it was a bizarre fourth-down decision from Andy Reid that immediately took away all of Kansas City’s momentum and allowed Houston to get back in the lead.</p><p>Now, the Chiefs have very likely played with their food a bit too much this year and have just a <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/nfl-playoff-picture/2025/" rel="noopener">12% chance to make the playoffs</a> according to The Athletic.</p><p>The Chiefs aren’t the first team to fall victim to the Texans defense, nor will they be the last. However, their failures throughout the season didn’t give them the margin for error that it needed to take on a very good team with a lot of momentum like this one, and that is what will cost them a chance at another AFC Championship.</p><h2><b>Winner: Everyone who watched Bears-Packers</b></h2><p>After years of having the Bears in the cellar of the NFC North, we finally got a late-season matchup between the two longtime rivals with real playoff implications on both sides. To put it simply, it was glorious.</p><p>Chicago and Green Bay repeatedly threw haymakers at each other all afternoon at a freezing-cold Lambeau Field, going back and forth in a second half that featured 30 minutes of high-quality football on both sides. On one side, Ben Johnson was scheming up a dominant run game and Caleb Williams was improvising in all the right moments. On the other, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/nfl-stories/clutchpoints-week-15-nfl-mvp-power-rankings-josh-allen-jordan-love">Jordan Love firmly established himself in the MVP conversation</a> with a stellar performance of his own.</p><p>In the end, Green Bay got a 28-21 win and reclaimed first place in the NFC North after Williams was picked off in the end zone by Keisean Nixon in the final minute. But the real winner here was the fans, and we get to see it again in just two weeks’ time.</p><h2><b>Loser: The Colts, in all possible ways</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Daniel-Jones.jpg"><figcaption>Doug Engle/Florida Times-Union</figcaption></figure><p>The Colts were one of the surprises of this NFL season for the first half of the year, jumping out to a 7-1 start led by an explosive offense, a lethal run game, and a defense that did more than enough to get the job done on a weekly basis.</p><p>The Colts came into Week 14 having lost three of their last four games, as the shine had worn off on their new-look offense with Daniel Jones. Jonathan Taylor cooled off after his historic start to the season, but Indianapolis still had a chance to take control of the AFC South once again on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.</p><p>However, things didn’t last long even on Sunday morning. With the Colts trailing in the first half, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/daniel-jones-injury-spells-doom-colts-sauce-gardner-gamble">Jones went down with a torn right Achilles</a> and will be out for the rest of the season and potentially into the 2026 campaign.</p><p>Indianapolis essentially went all-in on Jones when it traded two first-round picks to the New York Jets for star cornerback Sauce Gardner. Now, the Colts don’t have many avenues to acquire another starting quarterback, and Jones is a free agent this offseason. All signs point to him being back as the starter on a new deal when he is healthy, but what that deal looks like is just one of the many questions that this devastating injury brings to the table.</p><h2><b>Winner: Josh Allen dashing through the snow</b></h2><p>It seems like that once every year, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills get to play in a driving snowstorm on their home field. However, it was impossible to come away from that game with any other takeaway than concern about Justin Herbert’s health.</p><p>Herbert, who was already playing with a broken hand that was surgically repaired just seven days before the game, took a <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/los-angeles-chargers/chargers-news-stat-highlight-justin-herbert-mnf-eagles-pass-rush">career-high seven sacks against a very good Eagles defense</a> and was pressured on 68.3% of his dropbacks. No, that is not a typo.</p><p>It’s the <a href="https://x.com/NFL_Researcher/status/1998256943731994832" rel="noopener">third-highest pressure rate</a> faced by a quarterback in the Next Gen Stats era, according to Tony Holzman-Escareno.</p><p>The Chargers have one of the most beat-up offensive lines in the NFL, and things only got worse on Monday when Trey Pipkins went down with an injury. The schedule isn’t getting any easier for the pass protection either, as the Chargers will take on the Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans and Broncos to close the season.</p><p>Herbert has his team in position to make the playoffs again in 2o25. They have fallen to the No. 7 spot and they have fallen behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North after suffering a 28-21 defeat at Lambeau Field.</p><p>At a glance, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/nfl-stories/bears-packers-playoff-chances-green-bay-wins-week-14-lambeau">the Bears</a> played a very good opponent and lost the game and gave up their advantage. The schedule may not be favorable either. After their Week 15 home game against the Cleveland Browns, they have a return match at Soldier Field with the Packers, a road game against  the San Francisco 49ers and they close the season with the Detroit Lions.</p><p>In past years, a tough closing schedule for the Bears would mean the team would fold up and fail to take advantage of their opportunity to earn a spot in the NFC playoffs. But this is a different Bears team and much of the credit belongs to first-year head coach Ben Johnson. He was hired by the Bears largely because of the creativity he had demonstrated while leading the Lions offense. However, he has imposed discipline on the team, helped develop second-year quarterback Caleb Williams and has imbued his players with confidence that has long been missing from the team that calls Soldier Field home.</p><h2><b>Bears grow despite loss to the Packers</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Ben-Johnson-is-going-to-keep-pushing-the-Bears-to-step-up.jpg"><figcaption>Mandatory Credit: Mike Dinovo-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Bears may have lost to the Packers, but the team did not give the game away. In the past, a key game against the Packers would mean that the game was lost before the kickoff. The Packers had simply owned the Bears since 1992. Green Bay had employed quarterbacks Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love, and the Bears could not compete with that trio.</p><p>But that was not the case in Week 14. The Packers had built a 14-3 lead at halftime and they had seemingly gained control. But the Bears made key adjustments at halftime, something that almost never happened under previous coaching regimes. Johnson used his play-calling ability to get the Packers off balance and the Bears employed running backs D’Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai to take it to an excellent defensive team.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news-ben-johnson-just-about-confirms-2-point-converstion-decision-before-caleb-williams-interception">The Bears</a> came all the way back and tied the score at 21-21 when Williams threw a short touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland, and they silenced the crowd at Lambeau Field for a moment.</p><p>Cole Kmet, the Bears’ other tight end, said there is a full-time belief in the Bears locker room this year that was missing in the past. “The resilience just keeps showing up,” <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6871851/2025/12/08/bears-locker-room-reaction-packers/">Kmet said</a>, per <i>The Athleti</i>c. “I mean we come in at halftime and I don’t think anybody’s sweating a bit about it. Like, we know what we got to do. We regroup and we go out there and we go execute. The Packers have to go to Denver to take on the Broncos, the No. 1 team in the AFC and the owners of a 10-game winning streak.</p><p>If the Bears can beat the Browns at home — they should dominate — and the Broncos keep their winning streak intact, the Bears will go in the rematch with a half-game lead of their own.</p><p>The Bears played the team that has intimidated them for years on even terms. They outplayed the Packers on their home field in the second half. They have confidence that they can take Green Bay’s best shot and find a way to win.</p><p>That’s what Johnson has done. He has given this team the permission it needs to believe in itself. They have three challenging games coming up after they host the Browns. Officials initially ruled it a completion before Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur challenged and got it changed to an incompletion. Williams, though, <a href="https://x.com/WesHod/status/1998083371499421983?s=20" rel="noopener">insisted afterward</a> that the ball never touched the ground and admitted, “That one hurt my feelings, for sure.” Per Weston Hodkiewicz on X, formerly Twitter.<br></p><p>The sting was emotional more than anything, because the Packers still came out with the win and a share of control in the NFC North race. Jordan Love went 17-of-25 for 234 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, posting a 120.7 passer rating via the ESPN Box Score. Josh Jacobs powered the ground game with 86 yards and a 2-yard go-ahead score with 3:32 left, while Christian Watson roasted Chicago for 89 yards and two touchdowns on four grabs.  </p><p>On the other side, Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams finished 19-of-35 for 186 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, spreading the ball to Luther Burden III, Cole Kmet, and Loveland, who had four catches for 29 yards and a score. Week 14’s primetime showdown at Lambeau Field was a cinematic reminder of why these matchups matter so much. In a heated battle featuring explosive plays, late-game heroics, and a season-altering interception, the Packers emerged <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-most-blame-loss-packers-week-14-2025">with a pivotal 28-21 victory</a> that flipped the NFC North race on its head. Now Green Bay stands atop the division at 9-3-1. Chicago, meanwhile, falls to 9-4. They have also balanced this with a revitalized run game anchored by Josh Jacobs. The Packers’ remaining schedule includes the Broncos, Bears, Ravens, and Vikings. Considering where this team stood in early October, those odds reflect one of the league’s most impressive turnarounds.</p><h2><b>Bears playoff chances dip</b></h2><p>On the opposite sideline, Chicago’s Week 14 loss stings. It not only cost them control of the NFC North. Additionally, it exposed flaws that had been masked by their eight-wins-in-nine-games surge. Now 9-4, the Bears fall from the conference’s top seed all the way to No. 7. Their playoff probability slid to arouncd 70 percent. Their NFC North title chances also plummeted to 26 percent. That reflects both the loss to Green Bay and the brutal schedule ahead. The Bears are set to play the Browns, Packers again, 49ers, and Lions.</p><p>Yet Chicago remains firmly in the playoff picture.
