Also, they have <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/ravens-news-isaiah-likely-placed-impressive-company-by-espn-personality">a rising tight end</a>. However, it’s on defense where the Ravens can still tinker around. And here are two sneaky Ravens trade candidates entering the 2025 training camp.</p><p>Baltimore beefed up its defense through the draft and free agency. And by doing so, they created the possibility of making a late-season trade. And the safety position is a place where they might be able to make a minor trade.</p><h2><b>Ravens could deal safety Beau Brade</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Baltimore-Ravens-safety-Beau-Brade.jpg"><figcaption>Christopher Hanewinckel-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>The Ravens have made enough moves and good draft picks to be strong in the secondary. That means they have a couple of candidates in that area that they could trade in the right deal.</p><p>Brade saw most of his action on special teams last season, but could move into a bigger role this year if things fell into place. An injury to Ar’Darius Washington opens a possibility. Brade said he <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/beau-brade-sanoussi-kane-ravens-safety-depth-chart-ardarius-washington-malaki-starks-kyle-hamilton" rel="noopener">knows the task</a> is big, according to baltimoreravens.com.</p><p>“I got big shoes to fill in the safety room here, and the Ravens have always had good safeties, but I’m looking forward to it,” Brade said. “One thing that I always do is that I step up to the plate. I did that throughout high school, college, and here now.”</p><p>Brade’s trade value might not be high, but there does seem to be a higher ceiling than he showed in 2024. He said he wanted to prove himself.</p><p>“I’m on the team, but I’m not necessarily where I want to be when it comes to the depth chart or my ability,” Brade said. “I’m still trying to be the best player I can be to someday be All-Pro, and really, the main goal is a Super Bowl. As a Ravens fan, I witnessed one Super Bowl here in 2012, and to bring another one to the city, to my coaches, and to the players, and see their reaction on their faces, that’s a dream come true in itself. That’s the goal, and I’m not going to rest until I get that.”</p><h2><b>What is the strength level of the defensive backfield?</b></h2><p>Overall, the Ravens <a href="https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/practice-report-ravens-secondary-flashes-in-week-2-of-otas" rel="noopener">secondary looks strong</a>, according to baltimoreravens.com.</p><p>“I think we’re off to a great start,” Pagano said last month. “[Defensive Backs Coach] Donald D’Alesio, he comes over from Kansas City. He’s done a phenomenal job to this point of getting not only the veterans that have been here, but these young players, these rookie players [ready].”</p><p>Adding cornberback Jaire Alexander certainly made a difference. Marlon Humphrey said depth <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6436996/2025/06/19/jaire-alexander-ravens-secondary/" rel="noopener">is a great thing</a>, according to nytimes.com.</p><p>“A quote that’s never been said and probably will never be said in NFL history is: ‘We’ve got too many corners that can cover,’” Humphrey said Wednesday. “I think that’s a great problem to have, and I’m really excited for that addition.”</p><p>Standout safety Kyle Hamilton agreed, saying there’s always room for top-level defensive backs.</p><p>“It seems like everybody’s thin at DB, and to just add a guy like (Alexander) into a room — not only his play, but his energy, his charisma, his leadership, and ball knowledge — it’s going to be great to have him. Excited to get him acclimated and everything, and he seems super eager to get in the playbook.”</p><p>Also, Hamilton added that even later-round guys like Brade can make a difference.</p><p>“Nobody really cares that much on our side (about) what round you were taken,” Hamilton said. “There’s undrafted dudes in the league that make a big splash every year, but to have everybody back there who is talented, smart and a hard worker, we really have no excuses to not go out there and do what we need to do. It’s on us at the end of the day, and pressure is a privilege. Excited for us to have that privilege.”</p><h2><b>Ravens could deal safety Sanoussi Kane</b></h2><p>If Washington isn’t back until November, the Ravens will need either Brade or Kane. In a roundabout way, that makes the other one trade expendable.</p><p>Kane said he learned from Washington last season and wants to apply it this year.</p><p>“A.D. is just telling me that I gotta lock in,” Kane said. “Next man up. I’m doing it for him because he’s an older guy that I looked up to, that helped me a lot when I was transitioning into my first year in the NFL. It’s unfortunate what happened to him, but obviously it’s an opportunity for me to show what I can do.”</p><p>And Harbaugh gave a vote of confidence for Kane.</p><p>“I think he’s taken a big step this year,” Harbaugh said. “It’s starting to look like he could be that guy, maybe play that role as a third safety, perhaps. (He’s) got a long way to go still, but he’s looking like he’s got a shot.”</p><p>One positive aspect for the Ravens secondary that might help Kane and Brade is versatility. Humphrey said the Ravens might mix and match in 2025.</p><p>“The options are endless,” Humphrey said. “With me playing a little safety, even Malaki in college. He played some of that nickel position. So, it’s going to be a fun secondary. And just guys can kind of play wherever. The addition of Jaire, along with the other guys we’ve got, it can be a serious matchup. Hopefully Baltimore’s offseason additions can help the Ravens finally get to a Super Bowl this season.</p><p>ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler ranked the NFL’s top 10 running backs in a recent article. Fowler drew upon knowledge from NFL scouts, coaches, and league executives to make his ranking.</p><p>Ravens fans will not be surprised that Derrick Henry came in second on Fowler’s list.</p><p>One AFC executive explained why Henry is <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45589580/ranking-nfl-top-10-running-backs-2025-execs-coaches-scouts-make-their-picks-best-rushers">still such a “monster”</a> despite being a 31-year-old running back.</p><p>“He’ll slow down at some point, but he’s got elite body composition and elite work ethic,” an AFC executive said. “He’s a monster. No one wants to tackle him, and then when he wears you down, that’s when he breaks off that big run.”</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/nfl-news-stats-show-derrick-henry-more-impressive-saquon-barkley-this-season">Henry may actually be getting better</a>, or at least more efficient, as he ages.</p><p>He had 5.9 yards per carry last season, which is the highest mark by a player with 250+ carries in a season since Adrian Peterson’s 6.0 yards per carry in 2012.</p><p>Henry also has 13 career games with 150+ rushing yards and two touchdowns, which ties Jim Brown for the most in NFL history.</p><h2><b>Ravens RB Derrick Henry still a monster at rushing yards after contact</b></h2><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Baltimore-Ravens-running-back-Derrick-Henry.jpg"><figcaption>Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>One of Derrick Henry’s best abilities as a running back is earning extra yards after contact.</p><p>Fowler explained just how special Henry was a creating extra yards during the 2024 season.</p><p>“Mr. Laughs at First Contact still refuses to go down,” Fowler wrote. “Henry’s 830 rushing yards after contact in 2024 — his first season with the Ravens — were 191 more than the next-closest player (Josh Jacobs). His 3,634 yards after contact since 2020 is 945 more than the second-ranked player (also Jacobs). All of this is nothing new. Tackling Henry has forever been an arduous task. But coming off 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns, Henry appears averse to the running back cliff to which most 30-somethings succumb.”</p><p>Henry has always thrived on creating yards after contact. As a result, <a href="https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/derrick-henry-average-yards-after-contact" rel="noopener">he has always been an efficient runner</a>.</p><p>According to StatMuse, Henry’s has never logged fewer than 4.2 yards per carry in a single season throughout his career. Over his career, he averaged 4.9 yards per carry.</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/ravens-news-derrick-henry-breaks-silence-30-million-contract-extension">Ravens extended Henry this offseason</a>, handing him a two-year contract worth $30 million.</p><p>Hopefully Henry continues to dominate the NFL during the 2025 season later this fall.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

His answer reportedly shocked the Ravens.</p><p>“It seems like there’s been a piece that’s been missing,” Hopkins said, per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “I could be that addition. I could not be that addition.”</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/ravens-news-deandre-hopkins-signing-baltimore-super-bowl-loss-chiefs">Ravens signed Hopkins during NFL free agency</a> this spring. He signed a one-year contract worth $6 million.</p><p>Baltimore’s coaching staff is confident that Hopkins will earn Lamar Jackson’s trust right away. If he does, it could change the complexion of the offense.</p><p>“You’re speaking to trust,” Ravens quarterbacks coach Tee Martin said. “[Hopkins is] a wide receiver that can play strong [with] big, strong hands that quarterbacks love. That’s a really good comfort level for a quarterback, when you can put the ball in the vicinity and trust that guy is going to make a play. That’s not gonna cut it. … Pass rush, often is as good as the secondary behind it. Sometimes, the secondary is as good as the pass rush in front of it. He offers reliable hands and route-running that should fit better alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. With tight end Isaiah Likely, Jackson has one of the NFL’s most balanced supporting casts.</p><p>Defensively, Baltimore got younger and faster. First-round safety Malaki Starks joins Kyle Hamilton to form a potentially elite duo. Edge rusher Mike Green brings upside off the edge.</p><p>Baltimore’s offseason wasn’t about splashy signings. It was about building on what works. With minimal holes on either side of the ball, the Ravens head into training camp as a true Super Bowl contender.</p><p>Here we’ll try to look at the obvious Baltimore Ravens trade candidate entering the 2025 NFL training camp.</p><h2><b>The Mark Andrews Question</b></h2><p>And yet, amid all that good news, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/ravens-news-gm-update-mark-andrews-trade-rumors">the situation with Andrews looms</a>.</p><p>There has been no shortage of trade speculation involving the 29-year-old tight end for some time now. Even before the 2025 NFL Draft, DeCosta was cryptic when asked directly about Andrews’ future.</p><p>“We have a lot of different balls in the air right now,” DeCosta said.</p><p>He neither denied nor confirmed anything. Still, the message was clear: the Ravens are open to anything that could make the team better.</p><p>That window of opportunity hasn’t closed. For Andrews, it might be narrowing in Baltimore.</p><p>He remains productive, but he’s also expensive, aging, and entering the final year of a four-year, $56 million deal. That makes him an extremely intriguing trade chip. The Ravens also have a natural heir in Likely, who many believe is ready to assume the TE1 mantle.</p><p>Likely has the kind of athleticism that modern offenses crave. He can stretch the field vertically and improvise alongside Jackson when plays break down. He’s younger, more explosive, and increasingly favored in crunch-time reads.</p><p>Letting Andrews go wouldn’t be easy, though. He has been something of an icon for the franchise. However, the Ravens have to think long-term. That means getting ahead of future salary-cap complications. It’s also worth noting that Likely is set to become a free agent after the 2025 season. If Baltimore plans to build around him moving forward, it must start by giving him the full-time role now.</p><h2><b>One Last Misstep</b></h2><p>Of course, it’s impossible to talk about Andrews’ current situation without mentioning the brutal playoff moment that may have accelerated this transition. In last year’s Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, the Ravens were seconds away from a game-tying two-point conversion. Jackson bought time, fired a strike, and the ball infamously slipped through Andrews’ hands.</p><p>The drop wasn’t just costly. It was defining. For a player who had long been reliable in high-stakes moments, it was a rare and painful lapse. It cast a shadow over what was otherwise a strong season and fueled offseason doubt that hasn’t gone away.</p><p>Andrews, to his credit, has been reflective and committed. By all accounts, he’s ready to redeem himself. Still, the reality is this: Baltimore doesn’t need him to do that anymore.</p><h2><b>A Logical, If Painful, Next Step</b></h2><p>There would be no shortage of suitors for a tight end of Andrews’ caliber. Teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Seattle Seahawks are all looking to add veteran pass-catching help at tight end. Any of them could easily justify a trade package.</p><p>Baltimore is in win-now mode but also building for the next phase. Keeping both Andrews and Likely long-term is improbable. Trading Andrews now could net a valuable Day 2 pick and create more cap flexibility for looming extensions.</p><p>Andrews’ legacy in Baltimore is secure. And of course, Mark Andrews is still there,” Yates explained.</p><p>“I think at some point we see that segue and Isaiah likely becomes a part of an offense that defensive coordinators begin the week and they say, we have to find a way to slow down Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. He stands by his previous statements.  In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter.</p><p>“The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend.”</p><p>Tucker’s suspension is set to take place on roster cutdown day, which is August 26, and he will be eligible for reinstatement on November 11. Tucker can serve his suspension while not being signed to a team. He still has the ability to try out and sign with someone, and if it’s during the offseason, he can attend training camp and play in preseason games.</p><p>When the Ravens released Tucker, general manager <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/ravens-news-baltimore-gm-releases-statement-releasing-justin-tucker">Eric DeCosta shared a statement</a> about the decision, saying that it was “incredibly difficult.”</p><p>“Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history,” DeCosta said in a statement. “His reliability, focus, drive, resilience, and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade. We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. I don’t think I’m puny. I’m still 200 [pounds].”</p><p>Jackson entered last season having dropped 15 pounds. He reportedly looked like a sleek new version of himself.</p><h2><b>Ravens QB Lamar Jackson leading the way</b></h2><p>Along with no being skinny, Jackson is taking the front seat while trying to drive the Ravens over the hump and into the Super Bowl.</p><p>“He wants to do a lot more personal stuff with us, just to get that team camaraderie on a good level,” Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers said.</p><p>Jackson said he’s simply trying to bond with his teammates.</p><p>“I feel like just bonding with my guys will help us out a lot more on the field,” Jackson said. “Picking each other’s brains, being around each other a lot more. We’ll probably know what one of us is thinking ahead.”</p><p>Quarterback coach Tee Martin said Jackson has been more vocal this year.</p><p>“The biggest area I’ve seen is the verbal and nonverbal communication that he has really grown and taken his game to the next level,” Martin said.</p><p>Jackson said being more vocal is part of his experience level.</p><p>“I’m going into Year 8, so I’ve got no other choice,” Jackson said. “There are a lot of young guys coming in now, so I’ve got to.”</p><p>Jackson and the Ravens are still smarting from that tough 27-25 loss to the Bills in the AFC divisional round. However, contract negotiations came to light for Jackson in the collusion ruling.</p><p>Apparently, Jackson <a href="https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/lamar-jackson-cited-broken-mic-on-his-phone-during-negotiations-with-ravens" rel="noopener">claimed a faulty phone</a>, according to nbcsports.com.</p><p>“During the hearing on the collusion case, Ravens G.M. Eric DeCosta testified that his difficulties in negotiating directly with Jackson, who has no agent, were exacerbated by (as Jackson explained it to DeCosta) technical difficulties,” Mike Florio wrote.</p><p>“Mr. Jackson said that the microphone on his phone was not working, making communications with Mr. DeCosta difficult,” the ruling explains at page 30.</p><h2><b>Ravens QB Lamar Jackson had problems getting deal done</b></h2><p>“The document also explains that Jackson wanted a fully guaranteed contract,” Florio wrote. “Before the 2022 season, Jackson texted DeCosta: “I’m going to continue to request a FULLY GUARANTEED contract I understand you all DON’T and that’s fine.”</p><p>Florio added, “After the 2022 season, with Jackson’s five-year rookie contract completed, he again sought a fully guaranteed contract. The Ravens offered two different three-year deals that the team “considered” to be fully guaranteed. Jackson declined both offers and requested a trade. DeCosta asked for a list of teams to which Jackson would accept a trade. They have former MVP Lamar Jackson still in his prime and bulldozing back Derrick Henry ready to pummel defenses again. As such, the Ravens have their offensive identity firmly set. However, the difference between another deep playoff run and hoisting the Lombardi Trophy may lie in one daring, final move. If Baltimore truly wants to go all in, the time is now to make a blockbuster trade for All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill.</p><h2><b>Quiet Confidence in a Loaded Roster</b></h2><p>Though the Ravens weren’t exactly aggressive during the early offseason, there’s plenty to like about general manager Eric DeCosta’s overall approach.</p><p>The Ravens did lose starting lineman Patrick Mekari. That said, they also kept left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who might have been viewed as the top tackle in 2025 free agency had he actually reached it. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/ravens-news-derrick-henry-drops-bold-speed-claim-lamar-jackson">Baltimore also locked up King Henry</a> with a new two-year extension that will keep him signed through 2027.</p><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Derrick-Henry-and-Lamar-Jackson.jpg"><figcaption>Troy Taormina-Imagn Images</figcaption></figure><p>This means that Henry should be distraction-free as he looks to follow up last season’s 1,921-yard rushing campaign.</p><p>The Ravens also took another swing at finding a reliable third receiver to complement Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, signing DeAndre Hopkins <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/ravens-news-rashod-bateman-about-what-expects-deandre-hopkins">to a one-year, $5 million deal</a>.</p><p>Yes, Hopkins is now more of a mid-level possession receiver than the elite No. 1 wideout he was early in his career. Still, adding him was an extremely logical move. His skill set should complement Flowers, Bateman, and tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. That makes him a better fit than receivers Baltimore has tried for the WR3 role in the past.</p><p>There’s little reason to think that Jackson won’t be leading one of the NFL’s most exciting offenses again in 2025.</p><p>If Baltimore’s defense picks up where it left off at the end of the 2024 season, the Ravens should have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL this season.</p><p>Here we’ll try to look at the perfect Baltimore Ravens move <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/depth/_/name/bal">to fill out their roster</a> before the 2025 training camp.</p><h2><b>The Perfect Final Piece</b></h2><p>Baltimore doesn’t need a full-scale roster overhaul. What they need is one more elite weapon that forces opposing defenses into panic mode every snap. That’s exactly what Tyreek Hill <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/dolphins-news-tyreek-hill-major-first-offseason-surgery">still brings to the table</a>.</p><p>Flowers and Bateman posted career-high receiving numbers in multiple categories. However, they aren’t on the same tier as Hill in playmaking ability. If the Ravens open the 2025 season with Jackson, Henry, and Hill, they would have arguably the league’s best quarterback-tailback-receiver trio.</p><h2><b>Spark the Perfect Opportunity</b></h2><p>Hill is coming off a down season in 2024. All season long, the Dolphins dealt with one issue or another. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was also only able to play in 11 games. Despite all of the issues, Hill still caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns.</p><p>Many receivers would already be happy with those numbers. For a player of Hill’s caliber, though, they weren’t close to what he wanted. He was very clearly frustrated at the end of the season.</p><p>With Hill entering the final two years of his contract, there could be a window for Baltimore to make a strong offer. Miami may listen if the Ravens are willing to part with a first-rounder and a mid-tier player.</p><h2><b>An Offense That Would Be Unstoppable</b></h2><p>Landing with the Ravens would be a dream scenario for Hill. He would fit perfectly into Baltimore’s electrifying offense and would open up the passing game even more for Jackson. With Hill stretching defenses deep, Flowers working underneath, and Henry punishing defenders on the ground, defensive coordinators would be stuck in no-win scenarios every week.</p><figure><img src="https://wp.clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Tyreek-Hill-of-the-Miami-Dolphins-4.jpg"><figcaption>Gary A. Lamar Jackson is in his prime. Derrick Henry may only have one more elite season in him. The Ravens have the cap flexibility, the draft capital, and the competitive window that screams for a bold, all-in move.</p><p>Eric DeCosta has never been afraid to take a swing—Roquan Smith, Marcus Peters, and Calais Campbell are just a few names that prove that. Adding Tyreek Hill would be the next and most daring swing yet.</p><p>And if it lands?
