All they know is the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/eagles-rumors-how-philadelphia-fix-busted-offense">Eagles haven’t been the same</a> this year. And Saquon Barkley is one of the concerning fantasy football bad beats, along with the Chiefs’ Xavier Worthy.</p><p>Barkley has only finished as an RB1 three times this year. And his highest finish is No. 8. He hasn’t topped 100 yards rushing, has scored only four total touchdowns, and has been held to single-digit receiving yards four times. Included in the mix was Sunday’s one catch for minus-2 yards. That’s downright ugly.</p><h2><b>RB Saquon Barkley struggling to find fantasy points</b></h2><p>Barkley said last year’s workload <a href="https://www.nj.com/eagles/2025/10/saquon-barkleys-powerful-response-to-struggling-run-game-has-eagles-rallying-behind-him.html" rel="noopener">hasn’t hurt him</a> this year, according to NJ.com.</p><p>“I don’t agree with that,” he said. “We’re just not getting the job done. I’m not getting the job done. I own the running game. That’s my responsibility. I was brought here to make plays in the run game, and I’m not making plays in the run game. I’m taking too many negative runs. And I own that.</p><p>“It’s not because I rushed for 2,000 yards last year. I hate that narrative. I rushed for 2,000 yards last year, but no one wanted me to rush for 2,000 yards. It wasn’t like they just handed us 2,000 yards rushing. We just had a different mindset and a different attitude, and that starts with me.”</p><p>But the bottom line is, Barkley hasn’t found his groove. The question is whether he will come to life as the season progresses. Or is it a trend that will last the entire year?</p><p>Offensive tackle Joran Mailata said he thinks the Eagles found some things against the Vikings on Sunday.</p><p>“I think putting this on film is going to open the running game,” Mailata said. “Again, we’re not happy with our execution, especially with the run game. But in terms of opening the passing game, that worked. It kind of reminded me of the Super Bowl. They shut down our running game, but our passing game opened, and we also had the mix of plays because they didn’t know what we were doing from under center.”</p><p><b>The verdict:</b> Barkley won’t be what he was last year, but this is a good time to trade for him because he will bounce back and have a few game-winning weeks.</p><h2><b>Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy trying to find his place</b></h2><p>Even before the Chiefs got healthy, Worthy had trouble cutting loose. He posted finishes of Nos. 18, 51, 24, and 41 over the last four games. And he was suppsoed to be that guy for the Chiefs this year. Or at least a strong 1B with Rashee Rice.</p><p>Worthy got put on a pedestal after his performance against the Ravens earlier this season. It was his first game back after the season-opening injury, and he caught five balls for 83 yards while rushing for 38 yards. The Chiefs <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46417274/xavier-worthy-return-helps-unlock-chiefs-offense-win-vs-ravens" rel="noopener">seemed to love it</a>, according to ESPN.</p><p>“He’s just so explosive,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “When you get the ball in his hands, man, it just makes defenses have to adjust. And when they adjust, because he gets so much attention on him, other guys can make plays happen. Just having him out there, not only for his physical abilities but just the morale of the [locker room], I thought it was huge.”</p><p>Worthy seemed to expect bigger and better things to come.</p><p>“We’re just going to keep growing, and that’s just the chemistry that we’ve built,” Worthy said of his connection with Mahomes. “When I talked to Coach [Andy Reid], he was like, ‘How do you feel?’ I said, ‘I’m going out there and I’m doing everything.’ I’m not trying to be limited. I had never missed a game before in my life.”</p><p>Since then, nothing like that. But Worthy has an attitude of getting into a groove despite injury woes.</p><p>“When I got hurt in the beginning of the first game, it hurt me, and I felt I let the guys down,” Worthy said. “That’s just the player I am. When I got back out there, I just vowed to myself that I’m going to make plays.”</p><p><b>The verdict:</b> Rice’s return will change Worthy’s volume. That will make Worthy a boom or bust guy from week to week.</p><h2><b>RB Ashton Jeanty hasn’t found consistency</b></h2><p>With only two RB1 finishes this season, Jeanty has been a disappointment. He had one giant week. But week to week, he hasn’t been able to cut loose.</p><p>One of the biggest problems has been finding the end zone. And with the state of the Raiders’ offense, that probably won’t change for the rest of the season. A coaching change might help Jeanty get untracked, but it seems like the Raiders will stick with Carroll at least through the end of the season.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

After missing practice throughout the week, he finally participated in practice on Friday. Andy Reid shared an inspiring update about Worthy’s status for Sunday.</p><p>The 67-year-old head coach claimed that Worthy <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1976712099997843902" rel="noopener">was looking good on Friday</a>, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Reid pinpointed Xavier Worthy’s movement as a reason for optimism.</p><p>“Chiefs coach Andy Reid said WR Xavier Worthy was at practice today and ‘moved around good.’ Seems like Worthy should be good.”</p><p>Worthy, who is 22 years old, suffered a shoulder injury in the Chiefs’ 27-21 Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers after running into teammate Travis Kelce during a play. That injury sidelined the former first-round pick for the entirety of that contest, along with the following two games.</p><p>Leading up to the Week 6 matchup against the Lions, Xavier Worthy has been dealing with shoulder and ankle injuries. Despite that, it sounds like he’ll be able to play through the pain, based on Reid’s comments. When on the field this season, Worthy has served as the top wide receiver for Patrick Mahomes. Through three games played, the second-year wideout has recorded 11 receptions and 125 yards. He has yet to record a single touchdown.</p><p>Although it appears Worthy is on track to play in Week 6, the Chiefs still have some time to make a final decision on his playing status. Andy Reid and the coaching staff will likely release their list of inactive players by Saturday. They also have until 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday night to reveal the official roster for the contest.</p><p>The <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-lesson-chris-jones-learned-last-minute-trevor-lawrence-td">Chiefs will kick off</a> against the Lions in a primetime “Sunday Night Football” matchup at 8:20 p.m. EST. He logged just three snaps before the freak accident occurred.</p><p>With the NFL handing star wideout Rashee Rice a six-game suspension to begin the year, the Chiefs were expecting Worthy to lead their receiving corps early on. After throwing for 258 passing yards in Week 1, Patrick Mahomes failed to top 200 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.</p><p>Kansas City has gotten off to a disappointing 0-2 start, in part due to the injuries. While the Chiefs seem to be in a prime get-right spot against the Giants in Week 3, the game could be much tougher than anticipated. New York’s offense exploded against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 and likely would be 1-1 if <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/cowboys-news-historic-feat-brandon-aubrey-made-unreal-effort-giants">Dallas had any kicker other than Brandon Aubrey</a>.</p><p>Through two games, the Giants are second in the league with 618 passing yards. Star wideout Malik Nabers also leads the league with 238 receiving yards.</p><p>The Chiefs’ defense is undeniably a stronger unit than that of the Cowboys, but New York’s offense appears to be improved with Russell Wilson under center. Fans are eager to know when that might be.</p><p>The 22-year-old speedster suffered a dislocated shoulder against the Los Angeles Chargers after colliding with tight end Travis Kelce but is working toward playing again. KC head coach Andy Reid <a href="https://x.com/ByNateTaylor/status/1969101085424968016" rel="noopener">does not sound incredibly confident</a> about Worthy’s status for a <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/biggest-matchup-chiefs-must-exploit-in-week-3-sunday-night-football-vs-giants">Week 3 Sunday Night Football matchup</a> versus the New York Giants. “We’ll see how it goes,” the three-time Super Bowl champion said, per ESPN’s Nate Taylor.</p><p>The No. 28 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft practiced (so did Jalen Royals), but Reid’s outlook falls in line with <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-rumors-xavier-worthy-50-50-return-must-win-week-3-giants">the 50/50 report</a> that came out on Wednesday. He is obviously making notable progress, but pushing through a shoulder issue and potentially incurring more damage or pain is extremely challenging for a wideout.</p><h2><b>Chiefs need to find their offensive rhythm </b></h2><p>Although the Chiefs do not usually operate with a strong sense of desperation during the regular season, as they tend to figure things out by the time the stakes are at their highest, they do not want to risk venturing into uncharted territory. Kansas City had never lost three consecutive games with Patrick Mahomes as the starting quarterback before a Week 2 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the idea of starting 0-3 in a seemingly crowded AFC West would certainly be concerning.</p><p>Even with <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-travis-kelce-teammates-wear-free-4-shirts-support-rashee-rice">an active Rashee Rice</a> and healthy Xavier Worthy, overcoming a historically unkind deficit would require intense effort. Reid and company do not intend to face such a challenging scenario, however. Regardless of who dresses for this prime-time game, the Chiefs have the experience and coaching acumen to grab a road win from a team that is also 0-2 this season.</p><p>Worthy would theoretically help, though, especially given the offense’s present lack of firepower. He was inconsistent during his rookie campaign, but the NFL Combine record-holder for fastest 40-yard dash poses a downfield threat that KC has been missing for much of the post-Tyreek Hill era. Worthy tallied 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns last season and is hoping to level up in 2025.</p><p>He will need to get on the field first, however. Losing their next game could be disastrous for their title hopes, especially with other teams in their division surging.</p><p>Because of that, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-lenghts-xavier-worthy-will-play-week-after-torn-labrum">the timelines for some of their injured players to return could be accelerated.</a> Wide receiver Xavier Worthy was injured early in their Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-xavier-worthy-out-week-2-vs-eagles">remained out the following week in the Chiefs’ loss</a> to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are coming off a 27-21 loss in Week 1 to the division rival, the Los Angeles Chargers.</p><p>If facing the defending Super Bowl champs was not difficult enough, it appears they will do so without Xavier Worthy.</p><p>The Chiefs’ <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1966570719896088782" rel="noopener">wideout is being listed as doubtful</a> for Sunday’s game, per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Worthy sustained a shoulder injury in Week 1 when teammate Travis Kelce ran into him on a crossing route. It was just the third play of the game, and it set the tone for the Chiefs’ offense.</p><p>This should worry Patrick Mahomes, as he is running out of proven skill position players on offense.</p><p><a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chiefs-news-rashee-rice-could-get-6-game-suspension">Rashee Rice is still serving his six-game suspension</a>. Rice was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. He was involved in a high-speed, multi-car crash last year. Rice pleaded guilty to felony charges of collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway.</p><p>Without Mahomes’ top two weapons against the Chargers, Mahomes was left scrambling for his life. Luckily for Kansas City fans, that is something he has shown a propensity for doing well.</p><p>He ran six times for 57 yards, both of which led the team. That is not a good thing, though. Both Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt struggled mightily to get anything going on the ground.</p><p>Now, they will face an Eagles front that is loaded.</p><p>Philadelphia did not look up to par in their season opener, particularly on defense. But remember, <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/eagles-news-jalen-carter-ejected-spitting-cowboys-dak-prescott">Jalen Carter was ejected from the game</a> for spitting on Dak Prescott before an offensive snap took place.
