Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie on the "aesthetics" of the Brotherly Shove and whether it's a "football" play. "You know what? I remember reading about the forward pass and they said it really is an odd play that is no part of American football. So, it was controversial when the forward pass came out. I think aestheticism is very subjective. I've never judged whether a play looks okay. Does a screen pass look better than an in route or an out route? I don't know. To me it's not a very relevant critique that it doesn't look right or something like that. I don't know. What looks right? Scoring. We like to win and score. "
PALM BEACH, Fla. - #Texans foundation vice president Hannah McNair on feeling team was close last season to making Super Bowl run: 'I really thought we were going to go all the way this year, and I felt it in every part of me, and you could feel it from the team, they believed it as well, and the belief is throughout the organization. When we lost in Kansas City, that hurt a lot because we were right there and I thought we were going. It was just a belief throughout the organization.' Cal McNair: 'We had some key injuries down the stretch there. Especially our wide receiver room, that caused a bit of a blip there. We had a strong running game, receiver room, quarterback playing at a high level, defense playing outstanding, and so with the offense clicking, defense going, we thought we really had a shot. So, we're looking forward to this season and seeing what happens.' @KPRC2

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie on where things stand on a contract extension for Nick Sirianni. Wouldn't make an announcement, but said we'd know soon that "Nick's going to be our coach going forward."
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- #Texans Cal McNair on quarterback C.J. Stroud heading into Year 3: 'He's a great person. So, he has all of our respect. I think we've seen his ability on the field is totally there to lead the team. We've seen it for two years now and I think he'll take another step this year  He's a great leader and we're looking for him to lead us where we've never gone before. We think he can do it.' Hannah McNair: 'He's wonderful off the field. He and our daughter have a special bond and he's just an incredible person.' @KPRC2
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- #Texans owner Cal McNair on goal of renovating NRG Stadium: 'It's a complicated issue, and one we're excited to roll up our sleeves and continue to work on. We've been working on it for a couple years already and we're committed to continue to work on it with our rodeo partner, Harris County partner, the city may be involved in it. To get all the parties in, come up with a great solution where it's a win-win for all of us is really our goal' @KPRC2
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- #Texans principal owner Cal McNair on state of team as far as contending in #NFL playoffs 'This year, coming off the playoff loss, we felt we were pretty darn close. I think we're looking to take another step and we're excited to see what happens.' @KPRC2

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie says they are for health and safety, but he doesn't "think there is any" data that suggests the tush push is causing injuries. "If it weren't (safe), we wouldn't be pushing the tush push." "It's hard to make rules on could-be's and should-be's."
